Honestly, a good chunk of individuals who identify as INTP, often are not that type. The "satistics" of what is the rarest type and what is not is actually rather flawed for a variety of reasons. In my experience, INTP's are one of the rarest types. It's very often that an individual who tests as an INTP is in actuality a F type who tends to be disregarding personal emotions, or supresses them within themselves, which creates a false image of not being an F type (of which, are not "emotional"). ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

Is there a way I'd be able to clarify this with my Libra-friend? IP: Logged |

Agreed. That's why I like to study other personality systems (socionics, the Enneagramm), it gives another perspective.

I retook the test, and I scored INFJ again.I find it interesting though, that mostly when I am in my working-period I score as an INFJ, and when I have had long holidays, I tend to score as an INFP. IP: Logged |

^ The last time I took that test, I came up with terrible results, there was so much negativity! I wonder what the results would be if I took it now. Anyway, I relate to the Enneagramm much more, and I find the socionics description of the personality types more accurate than those of the MBTI (I think they're based on the same studies, Carl Jung's, but are still different, not sure how they came up with different things though). But ultimately I think people can't really be put into boxes. Sure there are patterns, but we shouldn't base everything around them, it's like putting limits to someone's self, and restricting their personality. IP: Logged |

Socionics has me pegged as an ESFp. I dunno, it think it's pretty conclusive! Especially since I had that e-interview with Mr. Pieter. An enneagram test has me as a 4...it sounded pretty fitting. IP: Logged |

Your Type is ESFP Extraverted 67% Sensing 12% Feeling 62% Perceiving 44%
You are:
- distinctively expressed extravert - slightly expressed sensing personality - distinctively expressed feeling personality - moderately expressed perceiving personality ---------------------------------------------
Hm, don't know what to think of those 'personality types'. I don't think people can be this easily categorized. I answered truthfully but I don't really think that I'm a 'performer'. IP: Logged |

Socionics tests are interestingly a little more accurate then MBTI tests, as far as online tests go.MBTI is a theory about how you think. Because of that, it's a bit difficult to actually create a tests that accurately tests that. Disconnects form if you have to use manifestations of thinking styles that we have semi-control over. Hence the inaccuracy. A group I was part of online for a while learned how to tell someones MBTI type by body language alone. It's quite interesting that these cognitive functions manifest in particular ways. Enneagram is a theory about what motivates you, thus is usually a bit easier to test for. However I have found that the best way to determine enneagram is by interviewing someone. Although you have to be interviewed by someone who knows the theory really well. Socionics is sort of an in between of enneagram and socionics. It's the theory I have studied the least. The difficulity comes from it was developed in russia, and the translation are a bit shotty at best. Nevertheless, this is often best determined by interviewing as well. I've had my types determined ad nauseum via many many methods. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am:
INFJ (mbti) 1w2 so/sx/sp (enneagram) LSI/ISTp (socionics) All 3 together fit me like a glove. ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

In my experience, nearly 90% of the people that test as INFx (which is not a type) are INFP in the end. ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

yey nobody got the same as me! anyway ISTJ- Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging 67% 1% 1% 56%I don't think it really sounds like me...lol Well I'll agree with the introversion but the description of the "Inspector". It sounds very Capricorn though! A little too rigid for me. So i guess it did match my sun. And my chart is northern hemisphere heavy which is considered an introverted individual. IP: Logged |
