Yes, my true type is INFP (it also was the type I scored when I took a test the very first time, when I was not yet working).

I am able to pull off a INFJ for work I guess.

I took the Socionics test, and I scored INFX.
Same amount of J and P.

Even the decider question, I can say yes to both of them. *sigh*

This article helped me in clearing things out between INFP and INFJ (I scored high with both). I am definitely an INFP. That's precisely how my mind works, it's overwhelming to know they figured me out so well lol.

I can see you as an INFJ to be honest.

Unfortunately, in Myer-Briggs it is a fact that you cannot 'change' types (switch from sensor to intuitive, etc).

Everyone has both introverted and extroverted functions, both feeling and thinking functions, and sensing and intuitive functions- these all create a 'function stack.'

For instance, an INFP's function stack would be:

1st: Introverted feeling- the dominant function, means INFP's are aware of their moral values, readily accept their feelings.

2nd: Extroverted intuition- the auxiliary (supporting) function, good for brainstorming, drawing connections, creative expression.

3rd: Introverted sensing- the tertiary function, less developed, draws on memory of past, how things are supposed to be done.

4th: Extroverted thinking- the inferior function, the least developed function, based on productivity, efficiency, and taking action.

So an INFP with a developed extroverted thinking function may mis-identify themselves as an INFJ.

You can find out what cognitive functions you use the most here: http://similarminds.com/classic_jung.html

Thanks! I agree with what you said. I think I have always been an INFP but may have acted a bit different in the past because I didn't know who I really was/didn't allow myself to be truly authentic. Once I connected to my true core, there's nothing else I'd rather be.
