Does Jupiter in the first make you have to struggle with all indulgences?

Only chocolate.

I have Jupiter in the first. I am slightly overweight, but it's not for lack of activity! Just bad genes and not always the best eating habits... My body though has the strange habit of putting curves in the right places though, so most people actually think I weigh less than I do (it helps that I am tall). To be honest, I think my body was designed to carry a little weight, as I think that if I were to get below a certain size I would look terribly gaunt. I actually did gain weight after college, but lost about 50 pounds last year through diet and personal training.

I think that's why I get irritated when everyone always says Jupiter in the 1st is fat and lazy. I'm really really not. I am very active. Salsa dancing, running, hiking, snowboarding, etc. Most of those I have taken up within the last four years or so. I actually tend to think that all of the outdoor/active activities are because I have Jupiter in Sagittarius. Sagittarius= love of outdoors/activity.

Jupiter in the first for me it simply being able to be optimistic and encourage optimism in others. I tend to be fun-loving and funny, so people like to be around me. Jupiter just really shows.

how does one make jupiter in capricorn in the eight house lucky if it is sextile moon in pisces in the tenth and saturn in scorpio in teh sixth...and the moon is trine to saturn, forming a two sextiles and a trine base triangle...the long side is the trine between moon and saturn..

LOL! Thanks for the reply!

It is hilarious that you are the second person to call me 'FireWater' I actually like it, strangely.

I have it in the 5th also, in Aquarius, singleton. I am so glad Jupiter has gone forward. A lot of things that had become stagnate started moving rather quickly. Almost too quickly. But lets see what happens! I'm excited!

I have Jupiter in the 12th and my life is a never-ending spiritual quest. I can't stop even if I want to. I HAVE to spend time alone every day as "people pressure" really gets to me. I enjoy exploring the inner world of solitude, being alone and private. I really need the space to explore the unlimited realm of the unconscious. I dream of a better future, and have faith in God. I want to find the meaning and purpose behind every experience, and conceptualize the larger patterns behind life. I have a deep faith in the benevolence and significance of life, even when my life "story" is painful and hard. And yes ... I am guided with my inner faith by unseen forces, and often protected too. My Jupiter is in an exact yod with a sextile to Sun and inconjunct to Neptune, and I think this yod intensifies the traits mentioned above. In fact, Jupiter (with its yod) in my chart is my refuge and my saving grace which makes my life bearable as the rest of my chart contains only hard aspects.

It's funny because me and my mom never get along, we're always fighting, but it's never serious. We are completely different. Aside from that, i hate travelling for too many days, i miss my house so much, i get really anxious just to get here. Oh, and i have a really good memory, i can get drunk as f*ck and i will remember everything.

Cool you're an aries rising too like me lol I have jupiter in 4th in Cancer too (with chiron).
Had a pretty hard childhood. Parents weren't that great towards me. Just alot of yelling and controlling behaviour. In my case, I heard that in the future I'll have a great marriage and family life so I'll see how that pans out. Do kind of agree about the whole travelling and memory ability. It also exemplifies my sensitivity (which I hide well).

Aries! It is a very energetic and adventurous quest

This is an extract from a previous post I did which gives an example about the "protection" factor present in Jupiter in 12th.... "One bizarre example is :. Some years back, I was walking all alone to my car in the early evening after work (I was newly employed and had no proper parking place yet so was forced to park in an unused lot down the road at the end of a long driveway which had a high fence on one side and an overgrown empty plot on the other). I noticed that my car was the only car left in the area, and that there were 3 gangster youths following me fast. The car was too far away to run to it, I couldn't go right because of the high fence, and didn't want to go into the bush on the left. I was thinking, well, might as well brace myself for a knife at my throat (violent crime/rape is VERY common where I live), when a little girl came running up to me out of no-where from behind the bushes in the vacant lot and held my hand and started walking with me, just smiling and chatting away. By this time the youths were about 15m away and I glanced around in panic, just to see them suddenly turn on their heels and retreat in the opposite direction. The little girl walked all the way to my car with me and said "bye bye" and went skipping off happily back into the vacant lot. Strange story, but true."

Hey, Mint. I'm a Libra sun and Pisces Rising. Well, i love my mom, but she is very controlling, very clean and uptight, and i'm not like that at all hahaha. I hope you're right about the "great marriage" part tho, i'm not very lucky in love, forever alone etc. Wish i had Jupiter in the 10th, things would be so much easier lol but i got ****** saturn there.

I'm noticing here that a lot of people with Jupiter in the 4th including me have issues with their moms. Just curious: how many of you have Jupiter retrograde? (I do)

Does it make a difference? Do those that have it direct have good relationships with their moms, or do those even who have it direct have problems?

Jupiter in aqua in the 11th house..

My fortune has always been my friends, always been there to help, always there as a resource when it all goes down. My friends and social groups have always been my greatest link and greatest fortune.

God knows where I'd be without all my friends (including all of you )

It happens LOL I have Jupiter in Aries in the First conjunct my 12H sun in Pisces and my Aries Rising and Aries NN. I can be so jolly and positive in life that I get on my ScorpMoon's damn nerves LOL I tend to gain weight when I hold all of my energy and emotions in even if I am not eating much. Besides weight, though, I am just a big, thick girl. I was 5'7'' going into middle school (5'10''-ish now) and I just have a large presence (mars in taurus too). Alot different then one would think of a 12H pisces sun lol

Jupiter in 1st House in Aries is good!! . I bet Santa Claus' Jupiter is in the 1st House too!! I love Santa!!

I myself have Jupiter in Aries in the 2nd House.

I have Jupiter in my 8H in Cancer.

No wonder I have a keen interest with psychology, spirituality and occult practices. Also, I often feel lucky, like I was born with much more strength and resilience than my peers. I've always thought that the universe had a way of saving me the last minute lol but I think of it luck nonetheless. I'm not as intuitive like some gifted people are but I try to listen and tune in as much as I can.

I have jupiter in Libra in my 3rd house with the Moon. I seem to be very optimistic in my communication especially when i get excited for something I can speak for hours. I notice too that people usually comes to me for advice because i always manage to see a situation from both point of view and give them a honest respond. I have such love for the arts and especially love learning and indulging in communication with anyone just for the fun of it. I notice i had luck forming friends when i was younger that ended up being like a brother and sister to me.

I have Jupiter in 2nd house Rx. Money is kind of a weird subject for me actually. I grew up in lower-middle class and my parents initally struggled to get by financially, yet they made our education a priority and we went to an expensive private school.

My mom is still struggling, but my dad re married my step mom who is a lawyer (such a gold digger lol) and now doesn't have to worry about money at all. They have way more than enough but haven't been willing to help much with school for whatever reasons when I needed it.

But I have always gotten by. I have a scholarship to a pretty decent university, and would not have had the opportunities I've had if I didn't have this...

What do you think Jupiter in detriment (Gemini) in the 7th could mean for me?
However, my 7th house is ruled by Venus it begins in the middle of Taurus.

I don't feel unlucky with guys. If anything, I get away with murder.

So maybe Jupiter in the 7th brings me luck. Guys seem to fall for me easily. Like - almost all I let get to know me? I just happen to want to be with the last person in the world who should want to be with me bc my Venus/Chiron conjunction. But he still likes me. And will ultimately come around - they always do. Yeah. I guess this placement makes me lucky. I'm lucky he even talks to me

And just about all of my exes would marry me - no matter how I had hurt them when I left.

I only have minor aspects to Jupiter. It semi-sextiles Chiron. Bi-quintiles Neptune. Quintiles my Sun and Mercury

I have Jupiter in the 12th house. It doesn't seem to work much, only when I don't think about it or want it too badly, or it's unimportant. I will say I think I get lots of "signs" from the universe, but I'm still having trouble figuring out what it's pointing to or means. Unless I'm supposed to give it my own meaning.

I do notice though I've come into VERY close contact of having bad car accidents and yet I always manage to narrowly miss them, or them me. Jupiter is in Gemini. Also I tend to get free food a lot. The other day I was secretly worried my card would decline while out to eat with a friend, when her boss ended up having a company meeting there any way and paid for our meals. He wasn't even sitting by us or on our side of the restaurant, but he noticed my friend on his way in.
