I see why feel that way! 8th & 9th house are similar in the fact that they are both knowledge houses. The transformation comes through searching for truths. 9th house being more universal worldly truths and 8th more taboo type of truths.

Yeah, it was awful, and I stopped trying to get published after that. Between Sun in the 12th and Saturn in the 11th, the dead LAST thing I want is the spotlight, or attention. It's only easy for me here because we're anonymous. Otherwise, I'm scared out of my wits!

Like you, I have pluto in the 5th and I also avoid being in the spotlight as much as possible. But I do like my creative endevours to have some depth, and the same goes for romance!

I have Pluto in the 5th using Placidus. I'll practice a piano piece until I'm consumed by it and am totally confident in my ability (Sun and Venus sq. Saturn) Also very meticulous about my grooming. I wonder if because my 5th house is ruled by Libra, if Pluto in Scorpio would give a characteristic of needing to be liked?

My first relationship was very, very intense complete with power struggles and a very deep connection. It was like we became one person soul-wise which was very draining for someone who'd never experienced such a thing before.

So---you are saying Pluto in 5th makes romantic relationships --intense?

I was thinking PLuto in the 7th did this?

Interesting Xiiro. Do you have ups and downs with your service like it gets intense and wild and then you learn

I thought 5th house was relationships as well? 7th house being others and the 5th house being love and romance because of Venus' influence (as well as art, and hobbies I think)

I definitely think it can attract emotionally complex people into my life considering it's opp. with Moon in the 11th and my Vertex in Scorpio in that house as well. Whatever it influences it will do so with a severe focus and intensity but through that perseverance (imo at least) there's a life lesson to be learned that will come in handy later.

+ 1 this, Scorpio pluto conjunct Scorpio Sun and Mars and sextiles my cap moon.

Makes me somewhat of a loner, I cherish the few friendships that I make, friends mean the world to me and it's absolutely based on trust. lol almost as if they were my partner, possessive? yeah... but it makes you very loyal!

I also have Pluto in the 11th, but in Libra, and I would agree that my friendships are all or nothing. I am extremely loyal and expect others to be as well. I actually have had quite a few friendships, close friendships even, but many times I have been betrayed by friends and so I've had to let them leave my life. I think with it being Pluto in the Libra, I tend to think the best of people until I have a reason to doubt them, so I have probably put up with bad friendships for far too long in some cases. Regardless of whether it was a good friendship or a bad friendship, I always am transformed by my friendships in some way.

Also, when I was a kid I was bullied very terribly, but again- Pluto in Libra- I'm not a violent person in any way and I did not stand up to them when I was a kid (regardless of all the fire that I have in my chart).

I posted an article on the boards about sexuality romance etc...with regards to the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth house...the houses of projection and psychology...

5th house = sex on a level of fun

someone with pluto in the fifth has explosive potential...they may be too sexual for someone,. key is balancing with the sensuality of taurus...or the opposite sign...

pluto in libra...in the fifth would probably be intense charm...or diplomacy, and would irritate an aries...or turn them on....but pluto has a naturaly polarity so it's easy to balance unless afflicted by the sign opposite of it...

the sixth house is sexual health..condoms etc...cleaning up, showering, hygene

if things go well after that the seventh house is partnership as in the delegation of duty. Example...you can't leave me high and dry babe...even though I know your not in the mood i need this release to go to work today please babe, here I brought you flowers...

and the eight house is the cream of the partners efforts, we are on vacation, let's hump like animals...and then the humping draws a line to the fifthh ouse...

I like to think of the eighth and 12th houses as the parts of the entire chart...so the 8th house is what i share from the 1st-12th....including what i share of what i share...

tthey are the fractal centers of the horoscope.

So ami...romance depends on venus right? If my venus is in libra or the seventh house...romance is about balance, equality, fairness, chivalry...if my venus is in aquarius...romance for me is about freedom, and fun...more fifth house...or romance is an elleventh hous eissue for me...

if my venus is in aries...my idea of romance may be more 1st house...like let's talk about each other...or how we relate to the house venus is in...etc...

Pluto in Libra in the 12th House
Sextile my Sag Neptune and
Quincunx my Pisces Sun

I have something akin to instant karma, can step into meditation quite easily (when practicing), and have had several semi-spontaneous out of body / "at one wth everything" moments.

it's in either h1 or h12. 0 degrees scorpio. i'm fine whichever house it is in. wasn't OJ in a chicken soup for the soul story before he was in that whole mess? *shrug*

http://underzodiacclock.com/2008/12/30/pluto-the-great-lever-of-power/

In the first house of self-image, it compels the natives to uphold their sef-image at any cost. Rumor goes that Prince Charles, who holds this Pluto position, requires his lovers, Camilla including, to address him “Your Highness” even in the middle of love-making.
God forbid, you would openly disagree with a Pluto-in-the-first-house person. He or she would level you with the ground. That is because these people feel that it is them against the world. So they put on the iron mask of their opinions and bravely march on regardless of what stands in their path.
Their one-on-one relationships tend to be their main casualties. Only when the natives stop seeing the world as their greatest threat and realize that it is merely the projection of their own mind, they slay their dragon.
If you have Capricorn in the first house, transiting Pluto is going to transform your self-image, and your relationship with the world. Personal relationships, particularly marriages and partnerships of all kinds will undergo irrevocable change as well.

When natal Pluto is in the 12th house, the natives may find themselves confined either within their own mind, hunted by monstrous secrets, or in jail, a hospital bed, or exile. It could be all of the above, as in the case of O.J. Simpson.
Over the course of their lives, the natives would slay one shadow dragon within their mind after another, until they slay the greatest dragon of them all – the illusion of our separateness.
After all, the 12th house is where our Spirit hides all the secrets of the Real Universe from our virtual minds. Pluto there is the dragon that guards them. Slay that dragon, and you are free.
Until then, you find yourself in a prison of one kind or another.
Transiting Pluto may liberate us by imposing physical confines, or imprison us by terrible secrets. Life never is going to be the same after its visit into the closet of our lives, as it certainly going to change or break the lock on it.

Pluto and Uranus in 7th House in Virgo. It's in the marriage house. Analytical, critical, obsessive, organizer, inventive. Also means posturing and power struggles within the marriage, because my wife has the same exact combination in the same planet and I think in the same house. It also means an unusual and overwhelming amount of sex in the marriage I suppose. Certainly feels that way.

Doesn't matter what I'm wearing, either. It happens even when I am entirely covered up wearing a long coat, pants, boring shoes, little makeup (like when I'm running late and grab what's clean and ironed and go).

I have been sexually assaulted, sexually harassed, and am regularly street harassed.

I'm extremely saddened by what you have encountered.

I myself have Saturn in the 12th House. When I was 10 years old, I was a victim of sexual assault and attempted rape. Actually it was just plain rape because intercourse was achieved. By a man. He had forcibly removed all my clothes and attempted to achieve anal penetration, without success. He nevertheless achieved oral intercourse. He forced himself on me at knife point. Being a foot taller and easily 120 pounds heavier, and being armed with a lethal weapon, it was pointless for me to fight back, notwthstanding a background in martial arts.

It scarred me for life. Inappropriate behavior all around by everybody repulses me.

I also have that placement and don't grasp the entire meaning so I was Googling it and someone on Tribe.com said Saturn finds joy in that house.

I don't suppose Saturn is much happy in any of the other houses either.

Not sure I've ever heard about Saturn being associated with any happiness. I thought that Saturn represents discipline and seriousness.
