Well, songs that make me sad. Overall, though, I kinda like somewhat broad range. Like, I really only listen to artists that are more mainstream. Not that I don't like older stuff, I'm just more exposed to pop music and I'm more passive about searching out and listening to new songs.

(Except Crystal Castles, one song got me into a lot more).

EDIT! I forgot to mention I'm a retrograding Scorpio Venus.

My musical tastes are dissimilar to most of my peer group. I remember being obsessed with Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" as a child. I was 5 years old when Titanic was released, but even then, I identified with the tragedy, taboo, fate and heartache the song/movie entailed. To this day, I love music that is dramatic: pieces that begin very faintly and progress into climatic purging of emotions. The big voices are the ones for me; since childhood, I always felt notably connected to Andrea Bocelli, Christina Aguilera, Jose Carreras, and the melancholic sounds of the Carpenters. Pieces that contend with the themes like the mystery of death, the compulsion of sex, and the emotional expenditure that love perpetuates are the ones that draw me. Sure, pop tunes are fun, but it's the pieces infused with depth that I seek, and that eventually move me.

It's interesting to note that, while I have tried to, I have no tolerance for rap music. I just...cannot. I'm also not too keen on the underground crowds who pride themselves on listening to artists so beneath the radar and unknown to the public -perhaps it feeds their elitist complexes- but it's truly a waste of time. The radio and television are there for a reason: use them!

So, I have retro venus in 4th house capricorn conj sun, Q to scorp moon, conj. saturn, and Q to scorp pluto. Awh i just realised i probably would have a nice voice if venus beautifully aspected my mercury :P. anyway. I dabbled in violin and guitar, stopped violin, hope to return to guitar, and i play piano (not pro level though). I like the recorder too haha. I like the idea of trying to play music with my hands. Its like a game to me. That's why i like rock band and guitar hero, i like pushing the buttons and thinking im gonna be something great. The way it feels to press the keys on piano feels so good, like my fingers become the keys and yu get in the zone, i love that feeling. So i guess its a touchy feely thing for me with music. I'd rather listen to music though, because when i play i don't enjoy the music as much cos im focusing so much on the instrument. I find it weird when people are indifferent to music. I've met only one guy who says he doesn't listen to music at all. I wish i could sing well! That's one of my many pipe dreams!

they SAY venus, mercury in taurus have the best singing voices,but I think I must be the exception..

there isn't a set *signature8 for signing, plus it begs the question in what context? just for fun, X Factor, social club, do you want to make a living from it etc etc...

I would expect to see neptune involved somewhere and easy aspects to mercury.

and my numbness in the throat and jaw is about chiron opposite saturn...and almost opposite mercury....

corrective surgery for a deformity...leaving my lower face permanently numb...leading to amild mannered creative ability involving the voice...

saturn is square venus too....

Capriquarius ~ I also have Venus in Scorpio conjunct Uranus, (loosely) square Moon in Aqua! My Moon is also exactly opposite Saturn so Venus/Uranus is the focus of a wicked T-square in my chart.

I've tried to teach myself how to play piano but for all intents and purposes I don't play any instruments.

I like all kinds of music-basically it just has to be good-at least what I consider to be good.

Forgot to add that I have Aqua Venus in the 5th, I like hipster stuff, old music (not very old, but I like from the 50's and 60's), and sometimes I fall to HipHop and Pop.

I like instrumental too, but music is related to fun to me (5th house venus as I said). And sometimes I like emotional sad songs too, my venus quintile pluto!

Also...maybe it's the Sag influence?...I like international music. Many countries and styles are represented on my iPod.

I have the soundtrack to my favorite Bollywood film...and drunk, German soccer fans singing at a stadium...old Irish sea shanties...well I guess I should leave it at that, I'm embarrassing myself.

I have as my main instrument an old classical guitar that is roughly 40 years old & I got secondhand for £5.00 ...
electric guitars just leave me cold

I have a lot of ideas for music but bringing them to fruition is another thing!

One of my goals for 2012 is to put together an acoustic band.
