A lot of comedy, whether it's light and silly or dark and cynical, comes from transgressing "appropriate" social boundaries. Like, to take the Chris Farley example - one of the funniest scenes in Tommy Boy is when he sets the guy's model cars on fire because you're not supposed to do that. Maybe if Capricorn bestows strong ideas of what social boundaries are, it makes Capricorn comedians especially good at sensing where it's funny to cross those boundaries? Just throwing that idea out. quote:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus!!! She is SO talented, I can't believe I forgot her! She is really unique in her ability to do verbal comedy and physical comedy with equal quickness. Whoa Cakes,when reading the title of the thread I was also instantly thinking of Robert Downey Jr. I find him extremely funny.

I am a stand up comedian. I have benn telling jokes for six years now. Where I'm from we have a lot of earthy comics and one damn good Scorpio comedian. My two favorites here are both Capricorn comics. I also know two awesome Virgo comics too. The Taurus comics yere are into the weed. IP: Logged |
