Uranus is the planet of breakthrough. The 12th house is the house of undoing. I think it can go both ways. Uranus rules invention hence the breakthrough. Transformation is the attribute of Pluto.

12 House has many meanings - subconscious mind, secrets, hidden activities, hospitals, confinement ...
Having Uranus in 12 House can very well mean that you hide your brilliant mind, ideas etc from the world.

One must keep in mind that no one indication in the chart, can be taken by itself as a total indicator of any area of life.
What sign is it in, what is the ruler of that house doing in your chart, is it part of any aspect pattern and so on.

My twelfth house is empty, but it's ruled by Libra. Venus sits in my fourth unafflicted.

I've always been spiritual, even from a young age. My mom is also quite spiritual and believes in herbal healing remedies, which I would say is more spiritual.

Nope, it's in the twelfth. She has a twelfth house stellium consisting of Venus, Chiron, Jupiter, and Sun. Chiron is in a semisextile to her sixth house ruler, which is the sun.
