i was at a local astrology meeting that i go to monthly last weekend and we got to talking about mars, and one of the ladies there said that she had read that the sign that mars is in would show possible locations of scars on the body depending on the part of the anatomy that the mars sign ruled, and it just so happened that i have a scar on my hand and my mars is in gemini in the third house. coincidence perhaps? does anyone else have a scar on the part of the body that their mars sign rules?

I have a couple of scars. The most prominent one is from my surgery a couple of years ago when I broke my elbow (essentially the bottom part of the humerus bone) and had to have a screw put in.

My Mars is in Leo in the 9th house ruled by my Sun in Virgo in the 10th house. It is a loose correlation, but it does work, only because the 10th house is traditionally ruled by Cappy which rules the bones.

I also have a scar on my eyebrow near the bridge of my nose. That would be traditionally be 1st house. My Moon is in Aries in the 5th house, which is ruled by my Mars in Leo in the 9th house. They both form a grand trine with my Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in the first house. So again... It's kind of a loose correlation.

However, Uranus = surprise accidents and since it trines my Mars, I ended up getting both scars initially by surprise falls. Jupiter = just my luck- when I broke my arm, I had never broken a bone before in my life, and all the medical professionals took one look at it, and said: "Well, when you break it, you REALLY break it."

hmmm, mars is about how we take action, and sexuality. It's very commmon for men to have mars in the first house. This can show competativeness and sporty types and bit accident prone. Aries is typical for having scars on its' face/head, prob cos it's so impulsive and acts too quickly in childhood.

So in Air signs mars wants to communicate, it has lots of fingers, interests, in lots of pies. Where mars performs is house and HOW mars acts is down to your aspects.

So mars in earth, is practical and wants to get on and do things, prob good at DIY. In taurus would be very sensual, virgo wants details, worries and may like health interests, like homeopath or herbal type things. In cappi everything has to improve their social status and what others think, will cultivate people who are of use to them.

Mars in water is 'tea and sympathy' types. in cancer will interefer with family, could make good chefs, in pisces go into the caring professions, hospitals, in scorpio would make good theatre nurse can deal with blood and guts, highly sexed but stubborn and possessive.

mars in fire is about action, go where angels fear to tread. in Saggi will enjoy higher educ, travel and actively pursue, in aries it's about me, me and me got to be first, in leo needs to be centre stage, could be good at acting, gambling or military even.

Mars in Capricorn. Saturn is the ruler.

My scars are up and down my whole back and legs. My parents whacked the crap out of me to discipline me growing up. It was a raw deal. A 95 in math was 5 points too low. Yes, skin split open and blood came out. Try getting whacked by a cane or bamboo. The skin never heals properly and a scar forms.

I also have other scars on my legs and arms from fighting, from martial arts, from military training and from crashing while bicycle racing at high speed. Thankfully I have no scars on my face.

I have three prominent small ones on my right arm. I fell down a ravine and three thorns got lodged in my arms. They dug deep into my skin and I didn't even realize because I was so incredibly tired from the military exercise. When I got back to base, I took off my gear and found it strange that three things were sticking out. I think the thorns went almost to my bone but didn't puncture and major vein or artery.

True story. Parents were still trying to whack me when I was 13+. And I continued to be chased all over the house. Then one day puberty struck. I took a wood desk chair and in my rage I smashed it to unrecognizable bits in front of my mother. Of course, I was then deemed a juvenile delinquent and they wanted to report me to the cops. I was sent abroad within months, and at 14 years old, I left home for good.

I've never had a broken bone. Yu'd think with sag mars id be some adventure seeking kid but i stayed away from things that would get too out of hand. I guess my Cap Sun saved me from a lot haha.

Aries Mars in the 8th.

I have way too many scars to count with at least half a dozen on my face. I was(am) a rough kid

I do have an obsession with scars and love them because they tell a very personal story about a person.

YTA, I'm so sorry to hear about your horrific childhood.

And just think, you turned out well enough to make ANY parent proud...and most likely would have done so without the beatings. For heaven's sake.

As for me, I don't have any noticeable scars. In my family the most obvious scar is between my oldest son's eyebrows. He fell on the ear of a wooden horse when he was little, got about 10 stitches, and now he has this "third eye." He wears his hair long enough so you can't see it.

He has Aries in the 12th with Jupiter there (some help THAT was); his Mars sign is Aquarius.
