I don't really put on any extra facial creams/cleansers. My parents didn't raise me to use extra skin replenishers to make my skin soft. When I bathe/shower I usually just scrub my face with soap. (except my eyes) I also use oily makeup remover... My parents have 'Olay' but I don't really use it. My Mars is Scorpio trine saturn IP: Logged |

i'm tellin' ya, all you need is this: http://healthimpactnews.com/2012/coconut-oil-for-skin-health/ but yes, diet among other things does play it's part - always important. stress and hormones can disrupt your internal balance too, but i don't notice it coming through my skin anymore. it's a miracle worker and hope others benefit from it too. They say don't put anything on your skin that you wouldnt put in your mouth. I try to follow that advice to a degree (i would not put neutrogena in my mouth lol) and glad my facial regimine is pretty simple, and works now. hope others find it to be beneficial in some way too. I know that if i used the facial cleansers that I do, alone, my skin would be tight and dry (which forces your skin to produce more oil and thus causes breakouts). The coconut oil keeps things balanced and clear. IP: Logged |

I naturally have really great skin and get compliments on it (I guess genetics and diet, more genetics) although I've had an issue with some pimples and redness lately due to hormone fluctuations (I guess puberty) so I try to keep my skincare to something of very good quality, but simple- I notice that using stuff that dries your skin out worsens acne (because skin flakes more and dry skin has larger pores...oil isn't the issue, bacteria and dead skin cells that clog up pores) so I wash my face with a bar of Dove lotion bar soap (probably the gentlest bar soap ever invented but really good at cleaning, besides Cetaphil) and then I apply Avon Anew Ultimate (night cream) to my face at night. And in the day, the Avon Anew Ultimate day cream. Leave my skin clean, soft, and great looking and acne has gone away, and I get compliments on my face again. I work as a consultant for Avon (part time, I have a regular full time job) so I can get their super expensive creams really cheap I have Mars in Gemini, in the 5th house.IP: Logged |

I also do the oil cleansing method once or twice a week, with a mix of 80% olive oil, and 20% castor oil. IP: Logged |

I tend to use whatever I'm given, or used to be given by my sister - or anything I've stumbled across, or remembered was recommended as the clouds move aside, a strong beam of light shines through, hits my brain and I think, "Oh, yeah! So-and-so mentioned that months ago!"Mars in Pisces. IP: Logged |

This discussion is so Mars in Virgo I use L'Oreal cleansers, the one for mixed/oily skin and the oil-in-water one for eyes. I use a lot (at some point it was a bottle of cleanser a week), so this was the best value for money that I could find. Also, I believe in using a separate eye remover, I think that rubbing that delicate area too much can cause tiny wrinkles. Later edit, lol: Mars in Aries. IP: Logged |

I’m prone to breakouts and have always had sensitive skin so there aren’t many products that don’t cause a reaction. After years of using professional products (not found in stores), I developed allergies to them and had to switch everything. It got pretty expensive trying to figure out the combination of products that didn’t make my skin go red or worse, swell or itch. Much of it might have been hormonal, because I couldn’t even drink wine without my eyes swelling up. I’m ok now tho…yay!! I use Kibio fresh pureness foam; ingredients include peppermint, cedar, green mint essential oil, argan oil and verbena floral water. It’s a gentle, cooling cleanser that removes makeup quite well. I use Dr. Hauschka moisturizing day cream, the eye balm at night, Avene eye contour cream during the day and La Roche-Posay anthelios spf 45 melt-in cream as my sun block. In the shower I use Druide shower gel made with peppermint, palmarosa and clary sage. My Mars is in Cancer.
