I disagree with most things "belief orientated"[karma etc] that Saggimc says but I think her astrological insight is valid. She can be very direct but I don't see her as a malicious person....and she doesn't appear to say things just for effect[or upset the applecart]. From what I've seen ~ she's consistent in her efforts without needing an army to cheer her on.

FWIW saggimc, I think you called it correctly but your delivery needs polishing but I do understand that sometimes you just have to say it straight.

Play nice, people. Saggi is a wealth of information, but like Mystic said, some polishing could be used. Astrology is both art and science, and there is going to be disagreement on the various nuances. No one is always right.

I agree. I think we stand to learn a lot from both Ami and Saggi. Their styles are completely different, but both are amazingly tireless in their efforts to help others.

I've had more communication w/ Saggi (only just started w/ Ami ), and I can say definitely that when it comes to teaching someone, Saggi totally delights in it and feels gratified when she sees her 'student' actually understanding. She has been very patient w/ me, gently correcting me when needed (yes gentle!). Ok, once crabby lol ... just a tad bit ... but I didn't mind at all.

Sure sometimes she can be a little crabby (especially when she gets 'knackered' )but I feel that this is more of a "mother hen" thing and not intended to be personal.

My feeling is that she's strongly influenced by her 9th hse and feels compelled to teach/correct others. And we all stand to gain from this desire in her.

So ... upward and onward?

Thanks for your kind words. I'm not into a popularity competition here. I just want people to learn and get hooked onto astrology....

cheers. One person being honest and forthright seems ok but when another person tries it feels like I'm on trial here..

If anyone comes to me, I will tell them the truth as IQ did to me.It takes a lot of courage to be an honest and forthright Astrologer. Everything is so watered down in much of contemporary astrology that is is all sugar water.

You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. I will gladly refund someone's money. I don't care about that but don't ask me to lie. Not being forthright about what you see in the chart is the same as a lie imho.

My father was a good man.

I'm not lying or in denial. This is a man who collected blankets for the homeless and went off to the slums on frigid nights to cover people up, without telling anyone. 'Would sacrifice anything for a friend in need.

However, my sister was mentally ill and manipulated him. Together, they did hurt me. Sad truth.

But my father was STILL a good man, as I define it, because no one is perfect- heck even Gandhi had flaws. IQ will see this, maybe you will, too.

Busy day here, I'll post my chart in PR when I can.

Thank you again

"..Like you keep looking for excuses for some kind of deformity" is the language I objected to.

That was an insult.

I'm dropping this issue, but I wanted to clarify, since my objection predictably elicited some defensive backlash.

Life is so very complicated, isn't it Faith? I think of this a lot. I think, "HOW complicated it all is."

I suppose I don't have the wisdom to fathom it. I can give it up to God. That is all I can do.

In YOUR chart, you will see the relationship with your father. How mind boggling is that? The charts have a wisdom and scope which is above all mankind. I am in awe of them. If you want to post your chart in Personal Readings, I will look for you, Sweet Friend!

I couldn't agree more. And it's why I love the greeting "Namaste." I salute the divinity in you. God dwells in each of us, I truly believe that.

The older I get, the more complex everything seems, so the more I rely on simple guidelines like "Just love people."

When I was younger, everything was more simplistic, I thought I had all the answers, there were "good" people and "bad" people and a complicated system differentiated the two types (I was a Fundamentalist.)

This is one thing about getting older that I am so profoundly grateful for: learning that the solution is NOT that difficult.

And that's all for my philosophical discourse, for now.

This.

Both of you are powerhouses of knowledge, and you both have completely inverted styles. Neither one is better than another, and having both of you around balances out the fallback of the other. Some are going to find more of an alignment with one of you over another. That's fine. I see almost nothing but factual information from both of you and everyone has different learning styles. Let those that learn best go to where they need to go. When something goes wrong, it does get sorted out in the end so do not fret.

Just find the middle ground between passive and aggressive and everything works out in the end .

Drumroll please....I have Venus conjunct Neptune in the fourth.

True, but only if I do whole signs. I'll show you in PR...Neptune is usually in the fifth, and Venus lingers on the cusp, going either way depending on how I draw up the chart.

Are you rolling your eyes? "Venus in the fourth, I knew it!" heeheheheheh

Thank you, thank you for your help. It's healing for me to be able to talk about my family.

Edit:

Just fetched this from the Astrology Place:

quote:
The father or their childhood may have been creative, prosperous and a source of joy for the individual. Venus in the 4th house could indicate a past teeming with material comforts and parental affection. The person might have a family background where the women – sisters, aunts, cousins and other female relatives played a major role. Furthermore the individual’s sense of values and self-worth come from the people and early events from his/her childhood. Those with Venus here could even inherit benefits or receive a nice inheritance from the parents.

The bold is true, but my childhood wasn't long on material comfort whatsoever, and caring older women have been conspicuously absent or afflicted in my life. My one grandmother never demonstrated an awareness of what my name was.

Maybe that's explained by my 8H Pisces moon.
