Roles:
One's role is determined by many factors, but one of the most telling is a person's Saturn and Mars Sign/House.

For example: I have Saturn Virgo 5th / Mars Leo 5th, which is creative and driven to become master of my lover's sexual jungle (eek bad mental images). That creative drive must however, be channeled through the service oriented and attentive methods of Virgo. This Role could be seen as a "Creative and Masterful Servant" and could result in people with this placement seeking to "Top from the Bottom", or assume a passive role, while covertly dominating the situation.

Rituals:
One's Rituals are also determined by several factors. One of the most telling factors is a person's Moon and Venus Sign/House.

For example: I also have Moon in Virgo 6th and Scorpio Venus 8th. This Moon feels, "hard work pays off" and the light of Virgo may blind a lover from seeing her more tender parts (more bad images). This Moon requires a lover who enjoys working for intimacy. Efforts must be made to explore, memorize, and understand this Moon's needs. The Scorpio Venus adds psychological depth to the list of requirements. Not only must a lover connect deeply and intuitively, they must leave a cathartic and lasting impression (which isn't horribly difficult to achieve for Scorpio Venus when we are put in the right mood). This Ritual could be seen as requiring a "Meticulous Mystic", someone who is determined to get to know and effect every facet of my being.

Let me give it a shot:

Roles:
Your role is determined by the intuitive read you get from your partner. You see into the truth of your lover and seek to be exactly what they need. I would refer to this kind of Ritual as requiring a "Respected Devotee" or a "Sensual Poet who has Found Their Muse"

Saturn in Sagittarius/10th house
Mars in Aries/1st house

I'm a bit of a control freak in more ways than one however it relates more to my own self expression in actions not towards controlling others. I need sexual situations to be very intense however very controlled. My Saturn is at home in the 10th house and I guess that means I can be a bit reserved when it comes to my sexuality. However I've also got Uranus in the 10th which kind of throws all that off. But once I've gotten beyond the initial reservation of my 10th house Saturn, I'm ready to jump right into to the activities of the boudoir. I'm not inhibited with having my Mars in Aries in the 1st. I guess I can be the aggressor however I need a person who's just as aggressive as myself. Somewhat of a cat and cat situation instead of cat and mouse. I'd say I'm a "Reserved and Unassuming Sexualist." But feel free to interpret this further Xiiro.

Well, my Moon desires activity and is very passionate. It also needs a bit of stability, or shall I say stabilized passion. Not fleeting interest but grounded passion that's sustainable. Security needs to be established between the two participating parties. Emotional security, not material or physical. This Moon is trine my Venus in Leo who desires grand displays of love that are frequent, not fleeting. My Venus also desires emotional stability and interest. Attention is necessary to feel emotionally fulfilled and anything beautiful or creative is enough to enthrall my Venus. My Venus is at home in the 7th and is looking for an equal therefore there can be no games or imbalances of any kind within the context of sexual relating or Venus will dramatically close her door to that prospect. My role is . . . this one is a little more confusing. My Saturn is Sag in the 10th house, my Mars in Pisces 1st house. I don't know. I tend to look for older men with a good reputation professionally/sexually but then I end up being taken advantage of and end up having control/dominance of the relationship. Since my Saturn is in Sagittarius I am always looking for the intellectual, spiritually aware, and foreign boys. I look to discover our purpose on Earth, or our purpose together. In that sense, I take on a teaching sort of role to my partner because usually they aren't on the same page . . . I use a lot of creative energy intellectually and sexually. There's a lot of sex as I have a high sex drive (Mars in 1st, conjunct Jupiter?).

I dunno if that's what you mean but maybe you can give me a stab.
