OK! So my Gemmy guy smokes a LOTTT -
I mean he really smokes like a chimney!
I've noticed this even in photos.. I have not seen a photo of him where he does not have a cigarette in his mouth or in his hand (and I've seen LOTS of pics form way back in HS - he is 32 now & even in HS he was like this). Whenever we are inside somewhere he keeps going outside to have a smoke. I think he goes through two packets per day.I didn't actually know this - I had NO idea... but apparently Gemini rules the vocal cords and the lungs.. So now I am just paranoid that he will get lung cancer or throat cancer. It does not help that his Nodal axis is in Pisces (SN) and Virgo (NN) square his Sun/Merc in Gem. Pisces rules drugs... so this can't be good for him.. He should be moving towards a more Virgonean/health conscious life style. My question is - is it possible that my Chiron which is exactly conj his Sun - can somehow get him to quit?
Would this make sense.. since our Sun/Chiron conj is in Gemini and Gemini rules the lungs.. so maybe I can heal his lungs? IP: Logged |

Speaking as someone who smokes... quitting is a biotch and a half. It's never going to be successful unless he really, truly, deeply wants to quit himself.IP: Logged |

Although you may want to help him, quitting habits like smoking are really personal trials, a person can only quit if they want to.IP: Logged |

Two of my friends are air signs; one gemini and one aquarius and they refuse to quit. The gemini even has mild asthma and I still catch him smoking a cigarette every now and again. >_> IP: Logged |

Not astrologically related BB but I was just like him. Champix was the only thing that worked for me and I had tried for YEARS before that with patches etc. Champix makes smoking VERY undesirable for the smoker. Even if you light up while your'e on it the cigarette is vile and you throw it away. There are NO urges, but there are side effects to this drug.IP: Logged |

Yes those are the side effects. They had a lot to do with my recent post "Saturn in Libra". But I went to my doc and got it sorted, Iv'e also halved my dose and because it's been so long since Iv'e been on them, I still don't want to smoke. They can make people depressed and there's a bit of nausea too but it's short term (program goes for 12 weeks) and I can BREATHE now! Skin is soooo much better too and more energy.IP: Logged |

I have been dependent on patches and inhalers for about 2 years! I got sick of this so I went and got Champix about 2 months ago. I haven't actually been a 'smoker' for a few years but I have still been dependent on nicotine. I'm in Australia and for me it was $5! Not kidding, That's on the PBS or whatever you call it.IP: Logged |
