Very beautiful expression of Virgo. I appreciate your showcasing Virgo as an evolutionary step. I think people tend to forget that the signs are relative.

My Moon is in Virgo and I can certainly relate to your frustration (being a naturally meticulous lover). Though I feel it is our responsibility to also invest attention when the scrutiny is becoming too much for others. I find I make the excuse, "well once I get all this "assimilation" over with, I will know what I am working with. Then anyone I am serving will realize it was all for a good reason.. It may be a bit much for you now, but this way is efficient for optimum and timely results".

A spoonful of sugar may help the medicine go down, but my Virgo can skip the sugar for fear it may rot someone's teeth. Instead I just bank on the knowledge that tomorrow you will wake up feeling better. I guess that is another thing Virgo learns when it moves into Libra, "both results and presentation are valuable".

This. A thousand times, this.
I have Mercury in Virgo in the 7th, I would go to extreme lengths to help my man achieve his goals.

...That also means nitpicking him to perfection, so he should be prepared. lol

Virgo for me is a close second to Pisces, for my favorite sign.

But I absolutely adore Pisces, so I am not "shortending" Virgo at all.

Sorry it's long, didn't want to do a bunch of posts in a row.

quote:
Virgos smolder.......in a way that Scorpios only wish they could.

No, smolder is a good word.

quote:
Maybe I'll explain it in another thread. Ive thought about it through the years, but didnt put my thoughts together enough on it.. But the similarities or energy is there.

Negative vs Positive energy flow maybe?

I'd be interested in reading the thread if you put one together. But you'd have to word it for a noob for me to understand it. heh

quote:
The only Virgo I've known well, that I can think of, was nicknamed The Underwear Queen by an Aries friend of the family who is still close (and keeps bugging me to visit).

I wonder what her other placements were. She was very showy, and unfortunately not good at her chosen profession. She was obsessed with one man, and then hit on my father, in front of my mother - twice, after he ignored her first advance. Used us as a hotel, and admitted when it was close to her time to go back to England, that she'd thought we would be the only way she would get to see California. She was supposed to keep an eye on our house, and let the young woman move in without permission, with her kids - the one who destroyed our house and it ended up going to foreclosure, because she hardly ever came up with the rent.

My best friend who is also a Virgo is like this. It's... odd. Though, if it was my friend in that situation, I could tell you, she would have let the young woman move into the house because she cared about her... but my friend has a horrible habit of um trusting? the wrong types of people.

quote:
She doesn't play mind games, no manipulation, no arrogance, no showing off, no wandering eye.

Saddly, then her and I don't have much in common. I love mind games when both parties are agreeable (I have one that has rules, regulations, and takes years to play but it's great fun for everyone involved... until someone gets hurt). I'm arrogant when it comes to my thoughts, but that could be the Leo Mercury. I show off and when I'm dating but not in love I have a HORRIBLE wandering eye. Just horrible.

I find it easier to understand the signs if you look at the zodiac itself as a 2d representation of a 4d being stuck in an infinite time loop. Where as charts (people, transits, etc) are a 2d representation of a 3d segment of the 4d being stuck in an infinite time loop. Not sure if that's the right way to go about it, but it works for me.

Also... Yeah. Oh yeah. I agree with everything you just said. lol

I'm beginning to be able to tell if sb is a virgo, in terms of guys.
There's so soft and humble energy they seem to have. Or this reserved energy. Even if they're outgoing??

The ones I have met have not just been gifted in the face department. Then again, Virgo guys tend to be lanky with big feet and hands...so... =D

That sounds pretty right on to me. I see layers of loops in astrology, but ultimately the mind seems to knit the whole thing into one seamless symphony. We do a really great job of turning all this data into one entertaining story. =)

Hooray for being!

Shortended? I'm already short enough at 5'2.

Lol I'm not a big fan of Lil' Wayne, but his song "How to love" is the story of Virgo love to me for some reason. *shrugs*

It really depends on who is on the other end of Virgo interaction.

Being raised by a Virgo mom, had a Virgo mother in law, Virgo sister in law and now terribly in love with one..

From a Pisces frame of mind, they are not so ease to deal with.

They dont understand our need to emote, share, etc. and we dont understand their harsh and sometimes cruel critisisms.

I find it so funny that traditional astrology says earth helps hold in water, from what I have experienced, water and earth combos can turn into mud quickly, if both parties dont mind their p's and q's~

I'm very fond of Virgo beauty.

Fiona Apple, Emmy Rossum, Pink ... just to name a few. There is something vulnerable, feminine and sexy (in the right way as oppose to Scorpio IMO) about them.

Fascinating beauty.

All I know about Virgos - male and female - is that they have perfect noses in every case.

I don't know about most Virgos, but for me...

I have to literally tell people - I'm not graceful and I'm going to say some stuff that you're going to find extremely hurtful or rude. I don't do it on purpose... and if you take the time to get to know me, you'll realize I'm just to darn naive to have the desire to purposely hurt other people's feelings.

Most people think I'm lying... my friends realize, no... that about sums it up.

If a Pisces (or any other sign) with that same view as you grasped that, then we'd get along great. Because sharing and emoting is great... as long as it's an honest representation of you or your views. I'll bicker and argue (and maybe even joke) with you all day long about them if I don't agree... but I'll respect you for being true to yourself.

Carla Gugino (?) - something like that. The lovely latin lady whose name I'm forgetting, and she's famous. They're both Virgo's with Aries Moons.

Point taken

But I will tell you that energy is energy, and all the while intellectually we know (and me, espcecially with my huge Aqua influence, lives in my head) what a Virgo may be doing, the energy put out during such critisisms, jokings is anything but easy to absorbe...

I thank you for starting this thread...I absolutely LOVE earth signs, they are my choice for a male partner over and over, but dont think the earthn energy is always easy to digest...

For a free swimming Aquarian-colored Pisces, anyway
