I thank you for starting this thread...I absolutely LOVE earth signs, they are my choice for a male partner over and over, but dont think the earthn energy is always easy to digest...

For a free swimming Aquarian-colored Pisces, anyway

Off topic, but my little brother is a Pisces - Sun / Aquarius - ASC

I just love him to bits... even if neither of us really "get" each other. He's the only other person I've known that was Pisces (probably knew quite a bit more but he's the only one I actually knew his sun sign).

He's difficult to reach out to because we're so different. I know he adores me as much as I do him, but he hides it (or I just can't see how he shows it)... and well, yeah, he get's hurt pretty easy about things that flabbergast me into wondering, "Someone could be hurt by that?! Why didn't he say something?"

ahhh... just goes to show, everyone is different and ya just have to accept it. Glad you've found common ground with a Virgo though, cause like I said, people tend to forget that we're kinda cool. hehe

My best friend who is also a Virgo is like this. It's... odd. Though, if it was my friend in that situation, I could tell you, she would have let the young woman move into the house because she cared about her... but my friend has a horrible habit of um trusting? the wrong types of people.

I think one of the dark sides of Virgo (and we all have a dark side, so this isn't just hating) is that some of them like the martyr role. This type of Virgo subconsciously seeks out people and situations where they will be downtrodden, taken advantage of or neglected... it's like a twisted form of the urge towards service. I have a Virgo aunt who is like this and it really sucks the life out of the rest of the family... she likes to let everyone in the family know how miserable she is and how awful they are for not helping her. Of course she won't actually take help when it's offered, which is like an extreme variation on Virgo being compelled to serve others. My aunt cannot accept the role reversal of being helped even when she badly needs it. And so it goes.

OTOH, I have another Virgo aunt who is my favorite relative in the whole world (not supposed to play favorites I know, but she is). She was like a fairy godmother to me growing up. She's in her sixties now and is still an incredibly stylish and beautiful woman. Their beauty is really timeless. Or maybe I would just like to believe that as a Virgo Asc

Not misunderstood

I'm a cancer and I understand them. I think Virgos are just like cancers, except they focus way more on work work work and bury their emotions. But other than that, they are pretty much the same to me. Both insecure, emotional wrecks. <3 Haha.

....maybe just a different more quiet was of dealing with things....deeper and longer lasting......in a more strong and solid way. Emotions and hurts stick with us for a long time. Feelings and emotions don't change with the currents or tides...or with every new or full moon. ;P

That's so true. I'm a cancer ^^

From a Pisces frame of mind, they are not so ease to deal with.

They dont understand our need to emote, share, etc. and we dont understand their harsh and sometimes cruel critisisms.

I find it so funny that traditional astrology says earth helps hold in water, from what I have experienced, water and earth combos can turn into mud quickly, if both parties dont mind their p's and q's~

Yes, I'm on the boat with you that says opposite signs together are disastrous though there is a certain fascination there. I'm a cancer, though, and I don't find virgos or taurus difficult to deal with at all. =) they both let down their guard around me and show their emotions and are very affectionate and all that. It's capricorn I have the problem with... because we both want to be the leaders

Caps are suprisingly passive, though. I just wish their coldness/the wall they have up wasn't so offputting to me :/

Loving this thread! As a Libran in a relationship with a Vrigo man I'm learning a lot! Can I ask a question and please don't take offence because this is a genuine enquiry from someone wanting to learn and understand more about the man she loves... do Virgos generally have quite a high opinion of themselves or is that something that covers insecurity? He's forever 'talking himself up' and in some ways it's very Leonine! There's a distinct possibility his Asc is early Leo and his Mars definitely is but I just wonder whether (in keeping with the initial musings of this thread) Virgos bring that quality of Leos with them into their Virgo experience?

^ We have high standards in everything (including people) but to be completely honest, we're most critical and hard on ourselves.

So do we have a high opinion of ourselves as in morals and things like that? (yes. I would say for alot of Virgos that's true). But do we think the world should revolve around us?
Nooo.

But HEY! He has a leo asc and mars. He'll be prideful. Though I doubt very arrogant inside. If he talks himself up, it's all about insecurity actually.

Wow! That doesn't sound very Virgo to me AT ALL. I know one who is constantly putting himself down for his weight.

That's cos he has leo placements hence the slight deviation in behaviour.

It could be his Mercury in Leo. Thoughts get translated by mouth through a Leo filter and vise versa. I tend to do the same thing, very narcissistic upon first/second/third glance... but it's not really who I am inside.

Not sure if it's a Virgo trait, it might be... but I usually blame it on my Leo Mercury. Silly Leo wants to do all the talking for me. XD

I am the same. I can sound very narcistisstic sometimes. It might be more of a shock when Virgos have high opinions on themselves (and it is mostly related to a particular area) than other Sun Signs. If it was a Leo people wouldn't be so suprised
I have no major Libra or Leo placements btw. except for Jupiter in Leo.
I think what people must realize is that just because Virgos are so hard on themselves doesn't mean that we think badly of ourselves. We just wanna do it better the next time because we genuinely think that we can reach perfection (or something close to it). If that doesn't show a narcissistic attitude I don't what does.
