I hear you FM. I wrote an article about 7th House and Loss of Identity after a man described this very thing. Then, I checked his chart and he had many 7th House planets.

Yes, it's very frustrating! I grew up in a dysfunctional family where emotionally chaotic and dramatic scenes were the norm, I survived this by retreating into the shadows so to speak, but now as an adult it can be very difficult to be assertive and draw my own boundaries since I'm always looking for approval from other people to just to be my own person with my own identity... If that makes sense lol

I think most people are *alittle* insecure deep inside. So it's not really a sign thing, it's a person to person thing.
And alot of the time, it is the super out there person that is actually insecure inside. Thus the overcompensation and acting overly confident?

I used to be a really loud, talkative kid but wasn't that way to gain approval...it actually annoyed everyone and it took a while and some harsh words from them until I started noticing everyone's discomfort lol[/B][/QUOTE]

Well, I'm self-confident, achievement-driven, ambitious, in control of my own destinty, egotistical and more than a tad arrogant, and yet I am deeply insecure about myself and measuring up to my own ridiculously lofty standards for myself.
