Neptune is supposed to help since it rules illusion/photography/film.
Saturn is good for bone structure, for ex Moon sq Saturn is common for models, so that could be a factor too.

Air ascendants and possibly fire. Also good aspects to the Ascendant and Venus dominance or on the Ascendant to create balance and form in the facial features.

All of this is just from my experience as a amateur photographer. Airy people, even the not conventionally attractive types tend to be photogenic. I've been told I'm very photogenic but that's because as a photographer I'm aware of light, contrast and form and as a Libra I know how to work my angles . I apply this technique
when shooting others. I like to make things extraordinary on camera.

Besides this I believe anyone can be photogenic it just takes an awareness of yourself and the camera.

Ive wondered about this before too, but im not sure. I have moon in cappy square saturn and venus trine asc and I am Not photogenic, I look much better in person.
One girl I know who is not that pretty in person, but can look like a supermodel in even cell phone pics, she has moon opp jupiter in a t square with saturn, scorp asc, sun and venus in aries squaring neptune.

My sister is a photographer and she tells me I am the most photogenic person she knows. A lot of other people have said similar to me. I don't agree because I hate most pictures of me. I know this is probably just due to being overly self-critical . . . my moon square saturn, saturn conjunct sun, etc. at work.

I have an Aqua ascendant which is sextiling my Sagittarius sun. I have Saturn on an angle (cheekbones?). I don't have an ASC-Neptune aspect, but my Neptune is well-aspected with sextiles from Venus, Mars, and Pluto.

I think it might have something to do with my moon in the first, too. I think I just look emotionally sincere and transparent in photos, as I do often in day-to-day life.

Yes... I've seen many people like this too but I've never known their charts.

I am the exact opposite people, especially photographers are disappointed when they start photographing me cuz I am MUCH less attractive in photos).

I have an Aqua ascendant and my natal Neptune and Moon and MC are conjunct in the 10th house. Since it was in my 10th, I guess that explains why I could make a career of it. I had modelled and was an actress for well over a decade. I have been told since I was in a kid I was photogenic which always led me to think so you are disappointed when you see me LOL.

Think a lot of it is lighting, angles, etc.. I weirdly have a 6 pack on camera but not really in person and this was before photoshop or when they show u the pic instantly after it is taken. Or maybe I am just pasty white and need better lighting lol! All my driver's licenses, passports, etc look awesome tho.

I do have Neptune sextile my asc, Venus trine Neptune, Venus dominant, Saturn in h1.

I'm pretty photogenic, I guess. I've recently did some modeling as well and it turned out pretty well. I don't have a typical face in that depending on the angle I can look very different. I've got Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in my first house with a Sag. Asc.

Also aside from Moon-Saturn aspects, I read that a lot of models tend to have Venus- Saturn oppositions. I have this in my chart.

I will be watching this with interest as I am terribly unphotogenic lol I have no clue what placement might contribute to this but I think women almost always look better in pics than men do.

Wouldn't know,but H1 Venus loves camera,and always strikes the most lovely pose - but in a very laic manner - for pro photogenic ability I wouldn't even consider H1 Venus.
For a true model,there should be a veil between camera and model,and I think that no H1 planet would help that cause - not even a Neptune. There are many stories to be told but a H1 planet is always the same - similar effect has on actors as well,makes them too...themselves,you know what I mean? Like Brad Pitt,you just can't seem to escape his H1 Sun.

I know for certain one sign that would bask in the 'attention' from a photoshoot (would probably love it) LEO.
I think this depends on the attitude of the person and the situation. (Someone with little to no self confidence wouldnt want to be taking pictures. Someone with a bad photographer wouldn't want to be in pictures.)
Scorpio/Pluto chart influenced person may not want someone to do a photoshoot and avoid taking pictures, but if she knows its an excellent photographer who will lighten her skin and edit her thighs smaller(take pictures the way she wants) , then she is a happy scorpio and will probably enjoy it also. I'm a Libra, Venus is my dominant planet, and If I don't look good that day, theres no way I'm taking a picture. This is my confidence level, not whether I like taking pictures or not.
Whether someone looks good in pictures or not, would depend on what we find attractive/value. I think venus to the ascendant would be percieved as attractive --- because they want to be liked, so of course they're going to try to be pleasing. (whatever in society at that time that may be)
