What can I say... I can relate. Maybe it's the Mercury sign? Where is yours?

Mercury in Aqua, 11th house, same as my Mars and Sun. Aries rising too, which makes me pretty impulsive AT FIRST. Thankfully I get to re-read my initial thoughts for the most part before my rational side will allow them to be posted. LOL IP: Logged |

I am definitely working with this child to try to inject some humility into his little ol' soul, because otherwise, he is going to have some issues socially... nobody likes a know it all, even if he's gorgeous.
LOL, he sounds cute! My friend has been working with her Aquarius daughter to knock off "the queen" routine. I've seen this myself. If I don't get what she's talking about, she sighs and rolls her eyes, as if to say, "Oh how many stupid people did God put on this earth and why do I have to meet them all?" She's 9. IP: Logged |

First decan I relate to fine because that's where my Mercury is.
Second decan...I've never seen any snobby people there.
Third...yes. Like I'm sure Jennifer Aniston is friendly, but she also can be a little condescending, and it grates on my nerves. Same with Drew Barrymore, I just have this aversion to her.
But I'm not saying they are all haughty and bad. First impressions.
Drew Barrymore? but she seems like such a sweetheart.

Bear in mind,Aquarius is the only air sign not ruled by a personal planet, so Aquarians may very well come across to some, if not many, as aloof/arrogant/etc. (from a fellow Aquarian)IP: Logged |

Hmm...I wouldn't call all Aquarians stuck up, per say, but I have met quite a few INCREDIBLY shallow and condescending Aquarians who will pick everyone around them apart. These particular Aquarians I would say were kind of immature. I once had the most excruciating conversation with 2 Aquas (well, THEY were conversing; I was keeping my mouth shut) I think it was the most judgmental conversation I've ever heard (and they say we Virgos are bad!). I felt so bad for EVERYONE around them (who luckily couldn't hear them; I wish I could have not heard them either). On the whole, I like Aquas, however, I've also seen this happen: quote: Obviously not all Aquarians are like this.. Actually I would say it's fairly uncommon.. but I've seen this kind of behaviour before. I used to know an Aqua guy (who was gay) and he was being dismissive towards me as a friend, as though he had no interest in befriending me, although I was always nice to him. Later, he found out he can use me to further his popularity with a particular group of people (because I knew those people) - and he suddenly became the nicest person in the world towards me.. as though he was suddenly my best friend.
And also... I did run into ONE d-bag Aqua. He could be characterized as aloof and stuck up (he also was wealthy though, so I think that contributed). He actually literally ditched me in a city that I was unfamiliar with because he was trying to get with a friend of mine whom was already married. Yeah- that was bad. However, I would not characterize the vast majority of Aquariuses this way. It was just him. Honestly, I love most Aquas. I've had quite a few Aqua friends. They are fun if you realize that they are kind of flighty and you may not connect on a super deep level since they are selective about who they connect deeply with. It's the super shallow ones that really honestly bother me the most. Aquaguy- in your case, it is unfortunate that people see you as stuck up because you feel out of place and shy. I can honestly relate to that, because when I was young, my peers also called me stuck up because I kept my distance from others and I was slightly shy (I'm a Virgo, not an Aqua, so it's not just an Aqua thing). It's frustrating when people don't understand. IP: Logged |

Right, I can see that. I think what bothers me is that she gets away with EVERYTHING just by being cute. Nothing sticks to her. It's like the rules of karma do not apply. She's my age so it's like I've grown up with her. This incident annoyed me, when it happened: quote: During a 1995 appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, Barrymore climbed onto David Letterman's desk and bared her breasts to him, her back to the camera, in celebration of his birthday.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drew_barrymore Later I saw her on some talk show, and she was asked if she ever felt ashamed about that. She looked genuinely happy and said something like, "No of course not! Look how much fun that was!" And I just thought that was so trashy. But everyone seemed to love it. So I was confused. I wouldn't necessary define a Aquarius as stuck up maybe a bit arrogant, aloof and even superficial. But not superficial in the "you care too much about how you look. About how other people look and about what you say and do and what other people say and do." Rather superficial relations with people that reinforce the perception that you maybe arrogant or stuckup.IP: Logged |

I'm not an Aquarius but I'll chip in. Hmmm, stuck-up no, but I've seen arrogance. But to be fair, these Aquas were about high school age and well, most guys think they are the ish at that time frame, lol.I remember in a class I took, once Aquarius guy said that he doesn't like when women assume he's a man-***** or stuck-up because he is popular and flirty with women, and proceeded to say that they are just mad because he doesn't pay them attention or ask them out @_@ But to be honest, most of the Aquarius men I have known carried themselves in a non-intrusive and humble manner, even when they were crazy smart, popular and talented. I'd say the same for lady Aquarius too, for the most part. I don't think Aquarius is stuck-up in any kind of way. And I think there's nothing wrong with a little arrogance, if you're fly.
