I recall that there have been a few posters on here talking about aquarian men they were interested in appeared cocky or stuck up, and I as an aqua male have been labeled those things, but it couldn't be further from the truth, its just I feel out of place in most situations so I keep my distance,it can be especially bad when it comes to girls I have a thing for, it's like when emotions become involved I get scared and shut down, and I try to play it cool and pretend not to even notice they exist, usually looking like an a** in the process. I guess Linda Goodman had us aquarian men pegged when she said in Linda Goodman's sun signs, its when he acts as if he doesn't like you that he is close to being hooked. Do any other aquas have similar experiences?

one of my best mates (and very very smart fella, creative too) is an aqua, yea, he seems 'dignified aloof' around most people he likes but doesn't know well enough. I have Uranus (planet of Aquarius) Aspecting my sun at 0 degrees, and I get what you mean about 'out of place' i kinda like to lay back and sorta watch people in a new situation! Aquarius is opposite Leo, so they both have some similar tendencies!IP: Logged |

My good colleague noted that a lot of Air and the right placement of Fire will make for a douche bag. Do you, aquaguy, have a lot of Air and the right placement of Fire? Where's u rising at, gurl? One of the biggest d-bags I know is an Aquarius, Venus and Mars too, Moon in Sagittarius and Leo Rising. IP: Logged |

One of my best friends has a very strong aquarius influence, and I would never call her stuck up. I don't think anyone I know has ever called her that either. Sometimes she does turn her nose up at something very quickly, but that's it.This is her chart if you're curious. ------------------ It's All Elemental ----- My Chart if relevant IP: Logged |

Aqua are not or shouldnt be like that. That trait belong to Leo. Aqua being the opposite sign should LACK these traits.

Me and her are both aqua suns and ascendants with sun in the twelfth, interesting, I know what you mean, my friends would never tell you that I'm stuck up either, I'm talking about appearing that way around new people out of shyness ( twelfth house sun) or just kind of getting a feel for people before opening up.

You have Jupiter in fire opposite your Sun But that's neither here nor there lol I have met Aquas who come across as aloof... and others who are extremely down to earth/friendly and not at *all* aloof. I have a feeling it may be because of the Saturn influence. Aquarius is co-ruled by Saturn, although Uranus is considered its primary ruler. I know that Capricorns use networking to work their way up the status ladder. Some Aquarians (specially the ones who also have Capricorn in their charts) will focus on people who they believe they have something to gain from. So their aloofness is there - only - towards those people whom they believe it wouldn't be beneficial to 'network' with.. Obviously not all Aquarians are like this.. Actually I would say it's fairly uncommon.. but I've seen this kind of behaviour before. I used to know an Aqua guy (who was gay) and he was being dismissive towards me as a friend, as though he had no interest in befriending me, although I was always nice to him. Later, he found out he can use me to further his popularity with a particular group of people (because I knew those people) - and he suddenly became the nicest person in the world towards me.. as though he was suddenly my best friend. Actually - come to think of it - I've had this happen as well with an Aquarius. I will probably get an encore soon, since he's in one of my classes. He stares at me and thinks I don't see him.. then as soon as he gets close to me - he looks away... usually looks *up* somewhere.. but it just seems odd lmao Like I will walk past him - and he will suddenly stare at the ceiling. Seriously! :edit: Next time he does it .. I should look up at the ceiling as well…. And say “hmmmm yeah that crack looks very suspicious.. my dear Watson!” IP: Logged |

sometimes. it depends on the company if i have just met people that i feel instantly comfortable with, i will be more open. but, if i don't get an initial sense of ease, i will tend to be more reserved, and i suppose that can be misinterpreted as aloof. IP: Logged |

--haha ** I'm an air sign myself and I frequently hear people describe introverted or reserved people as "stuck up" just because they are quiet. They misinterpret this as the quiet person thinking that they are "too good" to talk to them, when that's usually nowhere near the truth at all. It drives me nuts. There are plenty of reasons why I might not talk, as an air sign. But "aloof" and "a b****" are the only two that seem come to mind for people until they get to know me. I've never really known a stuck-up Aquarius. The most stuck-up person that I can think of was a Taurus that I knew many years ago as a child. There probably are some stuck-up Aquarians out there in the world, but I don't think that they are the majority. IP: Logged |

I agree most Leos are great, my mom is a Leo ascendant, my brother is a triple Leo , and my sister has a Leo moon, and 3 of my best friends are Leos
