@lonake- it's sometimes excessive. It's not something that happens once in a while but whenever one is exposed to the opposite sex. I have seen men hypersexualize a woman even though she isn't giving off that vibe or just being friendly. IP: Logged |

Hm, I don't have Mars in the 8th, but I do have my Leo Sun and Virgo Merc in the 8th (Placidus), or Leo Sun and Cancer Venus (Koch); I'm never sure which one to use, usually just go with Placidus.
Anyway, I do have Mars in Scorpio.
I am REALLY hesitant to accent my sexuality in any way. I don't like to wear heels or dresses or a lot of makeup in public because I'm so intimidated by the attention it might attract. I'm not saying I do get a lot of attention as it is, but my uniform is a hoody, sneakers or boots, and jeans. When I do get dolled up, I like to do it in the privacy of my own home.

So if you accent your sexuality you are attracting unwanted attention?  Wearing heels & makeup is just what some women choose to do...some men like to primp themselves. Well, that might just be something for me to overcome, because I really don't know how to handle sexual attention. It usually ends up just taking me somewhere I did not want to go; I'm not saying it's that way for everyone, that's just been my experience (due to my own decisions no doubt).
Also, I've mostly lived in rural areas, so "going out in public" either means the grocery store or the bar unless you want to drive 2 hours and get a little more "cultured".
And I've heard local guys talk about the girl in heels at the bar like she was trying to get some, and I guess it's just disgusted me and impacted me so much that I don't ever want to attract that kind of attention and it's STUNTING MAH SEXUALITEH!
I have a closet full of heels and dresses that never leave the house, and I'm always inspired whenever I see a really cute girl walking down the street, I just don't have the gonads to pull it off yet.
But for cryin' out loud, I'm 29, I reckon it's about time I get started!!IP: Logged |

It's interesting to see how many here have said that with 8H Mars you find you're either a 'late bloomer' sexually OR you end up having a very strong sex drive from a young age. Where you manage to bring out the dark side of others, especially in flirting/relationships, along with the increased possibility of strange or enticing sexual encounters happening frequently... and sometimes when you do not want them to happen at all. I can see how the two are strong possibilities. I think depending on other chart aspects, you could fall into either category. I noticed someone mentioned Marilyn Monroe, who had this placement with Mars in Pisces - she definitely fell into the latter category, with her Pisces Mars making her sexually dreamy and the illusion of what a LOT of men thought was sexually appealing and attractive. (Maybe people with more Scorpio influences will have an easier time fitting into the latter category? Just a guess.) I personally fall into the latter category. At 17 going on 18 I often attract grown men and literally scare the boys around me away! I am very magnetic and can command attention from a lot of guys when I want to. I refuse to date anyone my own age, and I will wait until I am18 to date now due to past mishaps LOL. On the flip side, I am prone to attracting the WRONG kind of sexual attention, such as creepy guys who flirt a little too strong, or weirdos who I do NOT want hanging around me attempting to make a pass at me to the point where I am in discomfort. I sympathize with all those who deal with this. It doesn't help that I have a lot of Scorpio influences in my entire chart either for this one... or that my Mars is afflicted in multiple ways.  ------------------

Mars in the 8th should translate to your competitive drive playing out in the house of sex/psyche, so maybe you'd feel more comfortable in an environment that accommodates that energy. Like here. There are a LOT of attention wh0res here in L.A. Girls walk around in dresses and shorts with their buttcheeks hanging out, and this is in the more hoity-toity parts of the city. To each their own I guess...my sister is an eighth house stellium (sun, Uranus, Venus & mercury) and she isn't comfortable in her own skin yet. She wears very frumpy clothes to hide her weight but it looks to add on more...men's hoodies & baggy jeans.IP: Logged |

Hey! We are twins. hehe.
I barely started wearing real heels until I was 24. I'll be 29 soon and I still feel like I need a real excuse to dress up. I'm kinda the type that likes being in comfy sweats and a hair in a bun at home. But I will go all out when I'm attending a party. I also, repressed my sexuality as a teen through college because like lonake said, I used that energy in my education and career. I'm really glad I did that instead of spending my time online chatting and blah blah. lol I was really focused and as soon as my sexual nature came roaring, I kinda lost a lot of my ....um fire. Sigh...I can't seem to balance the two. Yeah, I still don't care for women that wear obvious push up bras or show their cleavages off. Idk, I have this image of a baboon showing off it's but big red butt to get some. Lol...Sounds weird I know, but that's what I think everytime a girl seems to try too hard. I kinda feel sorry for her, like jeez do you really have nothing else to offer? Maybe a profound conversation? Maybe emotional support? Idk something, anything other than body parts and fake **** . Oh another analogy might be the used car salesman using gimmicks to get customers.

That's how it is in Philly...as soon as warm weather breaks lol..you see more skin than cloth. All modesty is thrown out the window. I personally don't wear shorts or short skirts. My biggest "sexual accent" are my heels...lol Most of the time I'm in the house with no makeup & leggings w/a T-shirt. Only when I attend a party or some function when it is required to dress up.
