I have this placement along with my sun & mercury in capricorn if I use equal house system....venus is also sextile marsThe biggest thing I realize is that I am constantly objectified as a sexual being when I am not...my venus in aquarius is annoyed because beyond everything else, I have a brain and put more on intelligence than good looks when I am attracted to someone...then again we are talking about men here- they are more visual people....lol. Don't want to sound like I am tooting my own horn...lol. Does anyone else have 8th house placements and do you feel the same way? IP: Logged |

Something very interesting that I noticed is that almost all the people I know with Mars in the 8th are late bloomers (at least 4 people).I am not sure if it's really connected to this placement but I've found it to be quite surprising. Other than that, I can't answer your question since I don't have this placement myself.

lol...I can see that. I was a late bloomer when it came to me coming into my feminity. I used to be the biggest tomboy when I was younger. IP: Logged |

I have Sun-Mars-Pluto 8H using Placidus and Sun 9H, Mars-Pluto 8H using equal. All scorpioNo I'm actually seen as quite the opposite of sexual. I'm pretty petite and flat chested w/ a youthful style. could be because my Pisces ascendant trines my sun, mars, pluto. IP: Logged |

It may be because the 8th house "buries" one's expression of Mars? What do you think? It's like it's lying dormant until the right time comes, so to speak.IP: Logged |

@Moonfish...I'm only 5'2" & flat chested, too...lol. Pisces rising has such a mystical look about themselves....my sister has that & she carries a glow about herself even though she is the exact opposite of me....heavy, big chested and tall. She's very pretty. IP: Logged |

I have mars, sun, mercury, north node in my 8th house with being in gemini and cancer. I am 5'1! lol I was not flat chested but there was nothing much to talk about there. lol Oh and I'm not even close to being flat chested anymore... I am a late bloomer as far as wanting to be more conscious about my appearance and understanding it's ivolvement in first impressions. IP: Logged |

YES!! In numerology 8 is ruled by Saturn. This is why I suspect Saturn is the true or part ruler of the 8th house. Buried is a good pictorial. But I think planets in the 8th must first prove themselves through hard work and determination before the chart owner gets access to it. IP: Logged |

So the consensus of 8th house mars women is that we are all flatchested? Lol...just kidding. Tricky placement...I can see how it can manifest as late bloomers. When I was a kid, I was awkward. Lanky, buck teeth and really didn't come into my "womanhood" I feel like until I turned 30. I was reading up on this placement...Marilyn Monroe had this placement in Pisces

And im a prude on the outside but inside lets just say IM A FREAK! jk i have this in virgo and i have lilith in virgo in the 8th house aswell . Im soo attracted to virgo men ! Im 5'7 so im not short but i've always been too skinny! and about the flat chested thing i have moon in the 1st house and i still have kind of a flat chest . It must be the 8th house effect i guess!IP: Logged |

Late bloomer with Venus (Cancer) & Mars (Leo) in 8th. Venus is unaspected. People say I'm a scorp. I attract Taurus men like a flower to a bee. I love sex.IP: Logged |

My Virgo Mars is in the 8th house. And yes, I'm definitely a late bloomer. I'm almost 23 now and I've just now started to come into my own sexually. As in feeling comfortable with my sexuality and truly accepting it. The sexual drive of this placement is HUGE (more or less, depending on the sign and aspects) so it can kind of overwhelming and make things awkward when you're growing up because you don't know how to handle it yet. All adolescents don't really, but even more so when the sex drive is unusually strong. I am also always attracting lots of attention sexually (and sometimes it's not the flattering kind; it's just downright strange and creepy admirers) and that's another reason why I've tended to keep my sexual side under wraps. I think people with a strong Scorpio or 8th house influence can really bring out others' dark side. We project this essence of taboo that others find really sexually compelling, but we do it without realizing it so that can make things a bit awkward if the native isn't comfortable with that kind of attention. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

Sexual urges are definitely kept undercover until the right person comes along and unleashes my tendencies. It really takes someone extraordinary for me to do that though. I enjoy sex too but I spend more time celibate than sexual & I'm a serial monogamist. People's perception is that I guess they see my 8th house mars (since 8th house is an other's house) and think I'm highly sexual when its farthest from the truth. Casual sex doesn't interest me & I'd rather not engage in that because I like to be with one person only...I like the total involvement that way.IP: Logged |

EXACTLY!! It makes me so uncomfortable....its so creepy. Like last night I was at a party, there was a guy who just kept staring but not in a manner I would find enticing. I kept moving around to avoid his eye contact but every way I turned he was right there STARING! It gave me the heebie jeebies...lol. I personally don't like attention, don't like to be the center of attention or don't try to attract attention to myself. If I engage you in conversation its not because I want to sleep with you...lol IP: Logged |

@lonake- it's sometimes excessive. It's not something that happens once in a while but whenever one is exposed to the opposite sex. I have seen men hypersexualize a woman even though she isn't giving off that vibe or just being friendly. IP: Logged |
