By amiann | Published: May 10, 2012 I am going to deal with three aspects, only. If someone wants to write to me about personal experience with other aspects, please do. I know about three aspects, in synastry, which make violence a possibility. They are Pluto square Mars, Moon square moon and Nessus square Dejanira. The square is a stronger marker for violence than the opposition because the square is more of a pressure cooker with no escape valve for the steam. The opposition allows one to go on either side in a see-saw process. Hence, the pressure does not build up to the degree as the square. Pluto square Mars in Synastry Pluto is primal passions as one sees in a tiger staling it’s prey in the wild. Take away social niceties and one has Pluto. Mars is action. Mars is any of our drives from assertion, to aggression to passion. You can see how you would not want these two strong men in a pressure cooker situation. Mars square Moon in Synastry The Moon represents woman, the mother and one’s own feminine nature( whether one is a man or a woman). Mars represents all our drives, as explained in the previous example. When we have the feminine nature in a stalemate or stronghold with the drives, we have a potential for explosion in which violence may be a possibility. Nessus square Dajanira Nessus is the asteroid of the abuser. We all have an inner abuser. We all are capable of taking what we want from another person with no thought for their welfare. Dejanira is the asteroid of the victim. We are all capable of lying down and being raped. We are all capable of anything. Hence, for this example, if we have the energy of the abuser thwarting the energy of the victim, you can imagine what could happen ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Moon sq Moon would not be violence as much as not "getting each other, Jerry.

Mars square Pluto gives great passion for each other...the kind where you can't get enough of each other- like a hunger you have to constantly feed . But when tempers, it can be dangerous. The threat of physical violence is high.IP: Logged |

Thanks Cappy!I changed the paragraph Pluto square Mars in Synastry
Pluto is primal passions as one sees in a tiger staling it's prey in the wild. Take away social niceties and one has Pluto. Mars is action. Mars is any of our drives from assertion, to aggression to passion. You can see how you would not want these two "strong men in a pressure cooker situation. That being said, Mars square Pluto can be the kind of passion where you cannot get enough of each other. Perhaps, this kind of passion is so intense that when tempers flare, the border between passion and violence can get blurred ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. What about Saturn? I think hard Saturn aspects in synastry can lead to abuse and even violence. That is, especially if Mars and/or Pluto are involved.IP: Logged |

the other factor in this which I just thought of is WHAT is the quadriplicity i.e cardinal, mutable or fixed. What is the sign---air, earth, water or fire---for each of the various "violent" aspects?Anyone have any thoughts on these? ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. AstroDatabank She has natal Merc sq Pluto. His Uranus in synastry turns it into a tsquare. Can show sudden, violent arguments. I remember looking at Ike and Tina Turner. Her natal is v.combative. Another hard Mercury square, this time to Mars. In the early mutables. Ike has Mars early Sagittarius. Conj her Sun/Merc, opp her Moon, and sq her Mars.

This topic is a fine line to me. Because what constitutes violence can end in murder. So I'm not sure where one ends and the other begins, re:looking at the synastry charts alone. I actually do not believe that murder can be seen in the synastry alone, but that's another topic. A perpetrator, such as the recent Adam Mayes, and a victim, such as the mother and daughter he killed (from his wife's statement), are in a violent relationship, are they not. Anyway, my contribution is that Merc afflicted in natal and being triggered in a difficult synastry can manifest in domestic violence. Re:the aspects mentioned, a lady I worked with, with Mars sq Pluto in the natal, was involved in a very violent relationship. Her personality can also be quite hard and abrasive, tho not always. She has a sensitive side as well. I know you meant this for a synastry, but I wanted to add that in. Tina Turner has the Moon/Mars sq.IP: Logged |

I agree Lonake...it all deals with who we attract based of our natal chart. Now compound that with two people who have afflicted natal placements with synastry: this was extremely violent...issues of stalking, physical and mental violence, numerous restraining orders, etc. IP: Logged |
