Hey, I don't remember making this post! I didn't realize I had a secret twin on here. I'm a 8H Sag Sun, widely conjunct my 7H Scorpio stellium, as well as both Pluto and Scorpio dominant. I'm not and have never been friends with goths (although one of my friends might qualify as a perky goth...), nor was I in the emo or scene movements that rose out of the goth subculture. I prefer darker shades because I don't have the coloring for most bright colors. However, black washes me out. And I'm pale enough without having to deal with that. I wear almost no make-up (a little eyeliner and mascara when I'm feeling fancy), long nails freak me out, and I've never really worn much jewelry. My best friends coined the term "hobo chic" to describe my look: clothes that I like and are functional thrown together in a vaguely coordinated manner, managing to look like I rolled out of a donated clothes bin while still somehow looking fashionable. I've also been described as "dressing like a Time Lord" if anyone other than me knows what that means. I don't know what placements create that kind of style, but I don't think it's the 8H or Scorpio stuff. IP: Logged |

Most of the goths I've met or known were pisces.. Scorpios are secretive and they wouldn't like other people categorize them by their appearance. They usually some edginess to them even they look conventional or society "approved" Also scorpios are known for being sultry and alluring ,and I can't say goth style is known for its sex appeal.IP: Logged |

Well am not I love goth, if I let myself go, I'll probably end up scaring everyone at work. I keep a lid on this part of my character. I love tattoos, have 3, (is thinking of having another one), love rock music, dark eye make up, I don't go out without it,love dark nail polish too. Moon square pluto, so lots of scorpionic influence I would say. 8th house Leo, Mars in 8th. IP: Logged |

woohoo thanks for bumping this is a good topic. Anyways my most dominant signs according to pullen is Scorpio, Capricorn, and Aquarius. (in that order) and planets Pluto Uranus Mars Well now of days people have told me that my style is "Fran Drescher." Not someone you would call goth. I loved watching this sitcom in my early teens when they would show it on lifetime during the day. Fran is awesome! Got a job where I can't where jeans 3 years ago. But nothing too dressy. Being a 20 something I don't wanna dress too boring to be appropriate for work. But before that I mostly wore clothes of t shirts, sweat pants and shorts. Very I don't give a f*ck. lol And a few club clothes. But because of work I don't really wear stuff like that as often. It's just not a high priority when I have to make sure I have appropriate things to wear to work. I really only wear clothes like that if I don't have work and am not going "out out" Like to chill with friends at their house, or to go to the gym. IP: Logged |

There isn't only one type of goth Look though. Look at for example kat Von d or dita Von Reese. Or Eva Greene, daisy Lowe, Adam lmabert, some of their styles are goth, or goth influenced..Goth styles can be very very sexy, classy, trashy, alluring or sensual.... Depending on how you go about it... There are soo many varieties of goth,. Like grunge goth, rocker goth, Victorian goth, glam goth, And many more IP: Logged |

Like vibrant pure red is intense, yet not dark. And deep teal as an example of dark . I dont do all black at once. It looks too gloomy. If I want to keep it all dark, I'll combine black with a deep colored piece. My style , is inspired by Victorian,1920's, And today's neo gothic or elegant goth fashion. I think the term is noir fashion.I don't wear heavy makeup. Especialy not during the day.I keep it very simple for day time. Winged eyeliner, and fill in my brows. and sometimes with a deep lip color.Sometimes Im feelin witchy lol, and I'll add some "witchy" elements to my outfit. Like my claw nails , yet still not looking like some bum witch. But i change it up, like i said i dont have a standard style. Sometimes im feeling for a touch of pinup, , or elegant femme, or casual. But the colors are usually always on the dark or intense side. i like a lot of leather too.. 90s goth style, is just horrible to me lol. Some examples of what types of outfits I'm into

I think Venus, asc, and moon, have more of a say into how you dress. Especially Venus.IP: Logged |

Not necessarily, Marilyn Manson has a Leo asc and moon and he's known for that extreme gothic image and his only 8th house placement is his North node in Aries. Though he does have his Mars and Neptune in Scorpio but they do both touch his asc. Specifically that mars quintile his asc could play a role.IP: Logged |

Plutonians I know fit into the stereotype. They wear dark clothes, are into tarot, considered emotionally intense, seem quiet on the outside but you can feel it, they are hiding somethin in the inside. I know a guy who has 5 planets in scorpio BUT he doesn't fit the gothic stereotype. In fact he doesn't even act like a scorpio. I'd say that someone who has Pluto in an angular house or has strong 8th house placements would act more scorpio than someone who has all scorpio planets in the 5th house (my friend has this, he acts more leo than scorp) IP: Logged |

But yeah when it comes to personal style you can't really associate with with a sign because fashion sense in an individual evolves...I don't have the same style Like I did 5 years ago but I am still a Sag sun/Pisces moon. Still have the same placementsIP: Logged |

Just for the record, many goths don't consider Marilyn Manson to be of their lifestyle (and even many goths who LIKE Manson don't consider him gothic). And though I can see calling him "gothic" in imagery, I don't see him as a good example of either goth fashion or lifestyle (ie, of the subculture). Manson isn't even a goth rocker or player of gothic metal (for examples of that genre see here). IP: Logged |

scorp asc 1st house pluto conjunct gemini mars in the 8thI like dark clothing.. bright, neon colours offend me. I stick to differing shades of black, navy and brown. All my shoes are black. also having a stellium in virgo my style tends to be well-fitting and clean clut.. nothing that looks like you spent any length of time putting it together.. for this reason I never like doing my hair in any particular style because it looks too carefully calculated LOL I like looking efortless chic :P!! also i avoid dark heavy makeup on a day to day basis but on nights out i love my dark smoky eye! I've changed a little. I use to have to wear make up everyday. But now I can even go out in public with out make up for a few days.My Scorpio stuff is in the 6th house after all. So I just realize how pointless putting stuff on my face is. Do we even know what's in our make up. I even bought a more "natural, eco-friendly, part of our profits go to this" but I checked the ingredients and along with the natural things, you could find that aluminum was in it. But I like to buy the more natural beauty products. And there are some great sites out there to help you look into what's in the products you're using. But as soon as I found out that coconut oil is a natural skin moisturizer I just put that on my skin after a shower and go about my day. And sometimes I'll mean to wear make-up like yesterday, but I would rather sleep in or be lazy. And hair. I didn't start to put effort into styling my hair until my 20's. I remember in middle school and high school most of the girls HAD to have their hair straitened EVERYDAY. You where hot sh!t if you did. But by the time some of them got to high school their hair looked damaged and fried...like the ones who died their hair a lot and straitened it everyday. On a typical day all I do is round brush my hair. I wish I had the energy to have my hair curled going about my day feeling all girly and fancy. But right now, for me it is too time consuming. For me to curl my hair, I'd have to not have to be anywhere all day. Also never died my hair. It's dark brown. IP: Logged |
