I am doing a chart, now, where the person really wants to know about each part of her chart. She asks questions every step of the way. I realized that the way I improved in Astrology was by doing charts in Personal Readings. If you have been studying Astrology for 6 months, do the chart of someone who is a total beginner.
Come into the Beginners Forum and jump in. You may ask,"What about my chart. No one is doing that?"Your chart will become clear as you do other people's chart. It will become clear in a way that could never happen if you had the best Astrologer doing your chart, every day. There are subtleties you will know about yourself that only your own expertise as an Astrologer can give you. Plus, you will get a lot of love back and who doesn't like that  ------------------

I think the best way is to look at your friends' charts. After all, you know them and see them in person. That's something that's going to help you connect the natal chart aspect with the quality in somebody's personality.IP: Logged |

To me, my intuition guides me in the charts. Get this, I just read the whole list of 2000 asteroids and picked out ones I thought would be in this chart. I can't get over it. The name of the persons abuser was conjunct her MC. How amazing is that? It is not even a common name. To me, I find God through the charts.

Sure, that would be good. However, on LL, you have people who have an inherent interest in Astrology so this population does not hassle you as other people do

10 out of 2000 asteroids are really important. They are not planets or karmic points, they don't have energy like planets therefore are not that important. IP: Logged |

I disagree. I think a master like IQ would disagree, too. So, if you are not a master like IQ, you may want to reconsider.------------------

Who is fighting? I think you didnt understand. You cannot write a statement like that without arguments and then come and say you are not fighting. If you refuse to sustain your statement people might find you ilogical. Just because you find that IQ a master that doesnt mean he is one. Also its rude to say: if you are not like him... why all this fighting  from what i have seen there is no "single truth" in astrology so no point of view is better im sure ami said what she said becuse she knows IQ and from what i have seen he did a lot of research on the effects asteroids have in our charts.... but im sure she didnt try to preach to you or anything like that every person on this site has the right for an opinion...and no person should change their opinion to another persons opinion just on the grounds that the other person is more experienced that is my opinion. Reminds me of how Coffee used to say the only thing that matters are houses and you can only use whole sign houses, at that. He was adamant about it but didn't bother to prove why he was so adamant about it. Why should anyone take what you say seriously unless you back it up? You can't just state an opinion but parade it around as fact and then act like people are fighting with you when they disagree. I don't get people who are so adamant about how they do astrology since IT'S ASTROLOGY. It's an art not a science. It's like saying "I only do watercolors, people who do sculptures are stupid." I like asteroids. They're fun. IQ is a very good astrologer, having had a reading by him. Rosalind, I'm sure you mean well, but you do come off as argumentative and you seem to pick fights in every thread you post in. quote:

Actually I think both have proven to be serious astrologers.(I don`t do titles like "master" cause it always reminds me of "master and slave" and I don`t like that).
IQ certainly has done an immensely lot of work, research as well as readings.
Despite being a very recent member Rosalind has also done a lot of work here, namely in the Personal reading forum, and patiently giving readings there.
Putting all that aside, I wouldn´t accept anyone`s authority just on the word of someone either. I need to SEE their work in action to be able to form an opinion, (which I luckily have had the opportunity to do).
There are many approaches in astrology here and there are several serious astrologers here with good knowledge they give freely; of course every approach is not for everybody (which is why we can choose to ignore certain "styles" that are not for us).
But this is not a competion about who is "master-er".
Bottom line, can`t we simly stop wasting our time and breath with petty arguments of the "My astrology is better than yours. - No, mine is." - variety?
Why not just let stand the results for itself? And if both have good results, maybe both are good astrologers. Just a thought. IP: Logged |

Personally, what as helped me is to do EVERYBODY's chart. When I hear of something happening to a relative, acquaintance, politician or celebrity, I look up his or her chart, even if I don't have the time of birth, I look up the ephemeris for the day of birth. I have been doing that for decades, and I can say that it has made me a better astrologer. WHen you go thru so many charts, you start seeing patterns. IP: Logged |

It's interesting how everyone reads posts differently. I do not read Rosalinds posts as argumentative as others do. I honestly must read aloud her posts in my head in a different tone. Sure, she doesn't doll up her posts with abbreviations and smiley faces.. but I think a lot is misunderstood since we are reading text, not hearing voices. I think everyone should just give everyone the benefit of the doubt and let's just be kind to eachother. There's so much offense and defense recently. It's unnessescary.
