according to this post it can go both ways..i think i got a little confused (with lack of sleep) and my memory is blurred but i had instances when both our venus and pluto aspected each other so we both felt obsessed.

haha i venus square pluto in natal and interestingly have had it in almost every synastry i have done with girls i'm interested in. things almost always fail to get off the ground, its usually the girl who decides to keep things from progressing, i presume because they are uncomfortable with the intense feelings /obsession they have, because they usually are infatuated with me and want to talk 24/7 then suddenly distance themselves.

It's funny how even discussing the aspect is confusing and back and forth, much like how the aspect is felt in the relation. Venus,no Pluto, no Venus!

Either way, it's intense and hard to keep platonic I think. Don't you? Does anyone have a friendship with this aspect??

As the Pluto, I am obsessed and projecting on to him that he is like, perfect or something. As Venus, he is magnetically attracted and flattered, but not obsessed. With his Pisces sun and all the Aquarius,I think he's probably a little perplexed about why I seem so tense or why I'm trying so hard. He seems to be able to deal with the friend energy really well, but I'm having trouble keeping it there.

That's the deal with this aspect and being Pluto for me anyway. Sooo hard to keep perspective and keep it on a friend level.

I think I would be less conflicted if I was allowed to take it to a sexual level. Surpressing the Pluto energy and not being able to channel the aspect with his Venus is TORTUROUS!!!!! Underneath all the obsession, I know there is a really good connection that I don't want to throw away because of this pesky Pluto energy. We have that lovely sun trine sun after all....

With any synastry aspect it can go both ways, but never more so than with pluto. I've had two relationships with venus pluto. First I was venus conjunct his pluto, we were both very attracted and even married, but it was I(venus) who was obsessed, controling, jealous. He(pluto) always had the upper hand and would drive me crazy(manipulate) by intentionally ignoring or walking away from me. Yet he always came back too! It was me that ended the relationship in the end. He(pluto) also deeply degraded me in this relationship. There was abuse and financial exploitation.
Current relationship my tight sun pluto conjunction squares his venus. Again we are both deeply almost primally attracted, but its him(venus) that is obsessed with me. We are Both jealous and posessive. We are engaged right now.
My bestfriend has been in a 10 year relationship, her venus squares his pluto and she was always the obsessed one, but she also cheated three seperate times, so he(pluto) was the jealous and controlling one(for good reason).
Ugh venus pluto!

Whoa. Oh dear Scrappydog, do be careful!
I think the consensus is venus/pluto connections ain't easy.

I found some really interesting stuff about Neptune-Saturn aspects also, that I think can add to it and certainly do in my case.
