Venus is in her 7th. Nothing in her 5th. Literally the most casual sex girl I know. Venus is conjunct Uranus trine her mars.

I have had what you could call casual sex before.

But I was feeling lonely at the time, and I was stupid enough to hope that if I had sex with someone I kind of fancied, it would turn into something more.

I forced myself in fact, on 2-3 occasions to have sex with guys I wasn't that into.

I think I was being self-destructive.

I'm too emotional so it's not for me. Either I like the guy, I keep meeting him and I end up being obsessive about him, or end up feeling disgusted.

strictly speaking astrology, i would think that having your chart ruler in the 5th should be considered as well. it emphasizes the house of romance, pleasure, creativity, etc.

i would also think that jupiter should be looked at and what house it rules, since it is the planet of expansion and excess.

i think that people really overlook venus in virgo as potentially promiscuous. they just tend to be more 'neat' about casual sex. they are capable of detachment so much so that it is appalling.

scorpio is definitely a sign of extremities. depending on their mindset, they can be capable or incapable of participating in casual sex. there is an inherent mystery and danger associated. for some, it provides a challenge to test their control over their emotions.

I respectfully disagree.
Venus/Pluto is actually known for promiscuity as well as passionate love.

It can go both ways.. just like everything Pluto.

But I do think that anyone can do it.
Some choose not to, but the potential is here no matter what signs and placements you have.

However the 5th house is often highlighted, and mutable signs, I think.
Maybe the ruler of the 5th plays a role in this, too.

I can agree with that, sometimes it just about sex, or a fling, and not something more meaningful.

At times things are not designed to last long term like a summer romance or what have you, one goes to a different school, they go to one far away etc.

Huge difference between that a drunken night of debauchery that both parties regret or treat as no different then a handshake..that sort of thing is unappealing to me at least.

1. I don't need drama, stds, pregnancies.
2. I don't like the icky factor of sleeping with random men with God knows what sort of desires, infections, standards regarding hygiene, past actions (Is he a pedophile, psychopath, sociopath, killer?), associations (I don't like men that get along with everyone. I have standards and would like my man to have some too. I don't care for drugg addicts, drama queens, wannabe divas, nutcases etc. You get my drift.)

I think that comes with the time. Maybe in caveman days or even in our near future casual sex is or would be lauded. Yet with each chart you have take into account the current social setting and even the social environment of that person. A person in a swingers type environment would want a promiscuous chart while a person in an conservative setting would not.
