Sometimes I'm really excited about astrology and the fact I can read and predict certain behaviors etc. It's wonderful to know things in advance and helps when you aren't taken for a surprise.Other times I feel that it bogs me down. I check transits, compatibility. I sit and wonder how things will pan out, what holes to watch for, what I should do to make some relationship work better. It then becomes unnatural and I feel burdened by that knowledge. Some times also the different interpretations gets confusing. What someone might dislike might be to another's liking. And so it's difficult to know if the interpretations have a singular spin to them or they are abstract. It's harder then to make a decision. Also as you keep going there is EVEN more that you realize you don't know about the subject....sigh...lol What do you think? How do you struggle with astrology? What are the benefits in your life and what are the chains it brings? IP: Logged |

It causes me the most distress when I'm going through a break up or hard time with someone. That's actually how I learned about astrology in depth, in the first place. I become OBSESSIVE and try every means possible to get answers..astrology, tarot, etc..it's pretty sad, but hey, I have Venus in Scorpio, so what do you expect? LolIP: Logged |

^ I can relate to what frankie said, too. I've had issues with people that I couldn't resolve without some astrological input. In those cases, it was a relief to have an explanation. The guy I was in love with forever? His sun was conjunct my Juno, and all our planets had positive aspects. Why didn't it work? Well...the composite was pretty clear that it wouldn't. Lately, I feel good about astrology, except when I pick up too many bad vibes from the ongoing criticism and negativity involved with it. Some astrology books are pretty dark. Not saying they are inaccurate....but it's exhausting for me to dwell on vices, shortcomings, failures, etc. And when I get totally different readings for the same aspect, I feel like I have to research the mystery...and I don't have that kind of time to play around with, actually. So it's distracting. It requires effort for me NOT to investigate everything too much.

Its a abyss that you shouldn't use to describe a person's thoughts and/or emotions. Astrology is just a blueprint not a owner's manual to the heart and soul of a person.IP: Logged |

I would say it is much more of a reward for me than a nuisance. The only thing that bothers me now is NOT knowing someones birthday lol . ------------------ Leo Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius ASC, Year of the Earth Snake "The Manticore is a mythological creature that is half-lion and half-scorpion." I cannot say it is liberating.I do obsess too much about planetary aspects in my day to day life. Knowing astrology has not made me any richer or more financially stable, nor has it provided me with better relationships. Sometimes, it seems that not knowing is better. Maybe one day I will just give it all up. IP: Logged |

Structures help you to grow, but when you outgrow them, they become shackles. How can anything be liberating if you don't transcend and no longer need it? IP: Logged |

Sometimes I wish I could listen to someone tell me a story without the entire time be waiting to ask whoever the person is talking about's birthday. I chose to look deeper into astrology so it's the price you pay for the insight IP: Logged |

i dont think about people's birthday all that much. Mostly, astrology has helped me to trust my gut when i feel an attraction to someone. it always means good synastry & composite, so i trust that, and its true bc they like me back. It has also helped me see that sexual attraction and love are heavily linked, that love at first sight exists (love at first sight crushes with the heavy pluto and the love stellium, or sun conjunct venus? yes please), that if u dont feel a connection with someone right away it isnt going to develop later. It helps me appreciate all the love around me. I know if people's marriages are working out or not, i know if people are really in love or really best/close friends or just faking. It helps me ignore all those people who say love DOESN'T exist (yeah right, you just cant see whats in front of your own face). It helps me know that im not crazy when im obsessed about someone... I dont look at my future. I dont feel that astrology can accurately predict that so why waste my time. Tarot and horary are a blessing. I dont waste my time with complex vertex and asteroid connections bc the general pattern is so much more important. You already know this person connected with you, so why look so into the vertex connection etc. Most of all, astrology shows me what the pepple around me have to teach me...and warns me to follow my heart when i feel that someone who seems to be really fond of me is only using me or is not good for me (its all in the charts). It made me believe in god. Astrology has done more for me than any religion or philosophy ever could. It has shown me how the world works more than any science. Thank you, astrology. It is not a nuiscance at all. It has helped me to trust rather than distrust. Therefore, not a nuiscance. It showed me what my purpose is as a cancer and it helped me see how my personality was formed by my childhood. it made me a better psychologist and made me believe so much in the importance of birth order...etc etc the list goes on ------------------ $3.50 ebay compatibility readings | testimonials | Past readings

I wasn't actually. I meant that astrology is so vast; it's never-ending. Get it? IP: Logged |

lol...go away... But on a serious note, it does astonish me when things have like sense of structure in astrology. I mean the reason we don't have a more concrete idea about it is because it's so disorganized with so much left to interpretation. I wish they would have a mother of all, astrology, go-to book or course. If we started gather facts and logging it. It would be soo much more concrete. I don't know if that is a good thing in terms of living life. It's definitely a good thing in terms of studying a subject. IP: Logged |

To me, it's liberating.I would have trouble understanding my ex's explosive temper if I did not that he has Mars in the 1st house, Saturn sq. Mars, and Mars sq. Pluto. It helped me to not blame myself for his erratic and unpredictable rage. It also helped me to not blame myself for his feeling so confined by commitment. His Sagittarius moon was just not compatible with my Piscean one. Astrology is a godsend, as far as I'm concerned... IP: Logged |

RAS, your comment was SO well-said...However, I would just add to that that sometimes the "love at first sight" people are experiencing is deceptive, it could be a Neptune transit, for instance. And not real. IP: Logged |

I don't struggle with astrology. I find it a joy.Although recently something happened that made me realize I know more astrology than I thought I do and it sort of shook me up. I realized firsthand just how much you can pick up about a person from their chart. For a day or two I was in "astrology is scary" mode because now I feel like I can see-through everybody and no one can lie to me anymore. IP: Logged |
