I thought it was the ASC and planets conjunct the ASC or in the 1st House?I have obviously, Sag ASC conjunct Uranus and Eros. I also have Jupiter/Neptune in the 1st. I have a larger frame with large hands/feet. Sag ruling the thighs/legs is soooo true! I used to get sexually harassed in the worst way over my muscular thighs, LOL! I think that Uranus conj. my ASC really give me a far-out, quirky appearance. Neptune in the 1st gives me a very changeable look, fluidity in my appearance. I look different in almost every set of pics I take. I've also heard that Venus in aspect to the Sun/Moon/ASC helps make for a more beauteous appearance. IP: Logged |

Anyways! lol I have always thought the ASC was more of the exterior appearance as far as looks and mannerisms and such. 2nd House makes more sense to me as far as the actual "physical" body type and frame.  ------------------

Look for ASC and ruler of the 1st house. I've also heard people mention Mercury and Mars, and even the Moon sign o_o Idk about that.Supposedly if your chart is water sign heavy, you will be voluptuous or on the bigger side, earth signs are sturdy or built, fire signs and air signs are leaner, and maybe fire signs are more masculine while air is androgynous. Ascendant and what touches it==planet wise and asteroid wise. Lilith conj the ASC is a very sexy person. Eros conjunct the ASC is a very erotic person. Venus trine the ASC is a pretty person etc------------------

It's ascendant!
I got ascendant conjuction moon in pisces 1.31
but idk if the 2nd house actually brings physical appearance... doesn't it represent possessions/money and the senses?? now I do have the porta fortune in the 2nd house but I don't think it brings more fortune to my appearance, i just think it gives me more fortune in possessions only. Venus in the 1st house would be a fortunate placement for appearanceIP: Logged |

What I meant was, yes the outer appearance of the person is the ASC, but the 2nd House may be more of like the physical makeup of the body, in a very "matter" sort of way. Like its substance vs appearance.Like ummm... the earth for example. The crust of the earth is the thin outer layer, like the ASC, and the 2nd House is more like the mantle, the meat under the skin so to speak. Am I making any sense? lol ------------------

The part of fortune is calculated using the sun, ascendant and moon so it's all three... I think that may be an accumulation of em all and i wondered since the part of fortune in charts looks a lot like the symbol for earth.I wonder if anyone has really looked into this in depth.
