COMMITMENT! What aspects denote a fear of this? Venus square Saturn is one, right? Does it matter what planets the houses are in when deciding if an aspect denotes fear of commitment? IP: Logged |

hmm I would say Venus square Uranus. I think that Venus square Saturn would indicate a loyal stable person.IP: Logged |

I have Sun and Venus square Saturn and Neptune, but not Uranus. I'm beginning to realize I'm afraid of commitment, or at the very least I don't like to feel obligated. So is that the Neptune? or my Gem ASC? or my Aries stellium in the 11th? Sure these are my aspects, etc. but I want to know all the other factors or aspects that could contribute.IP: Logged |

Not afraid of commitment here. Just want to commit when I'm ready to commit and don't feel compelled into rushing into anything I'm not prepared to do. Certainly not with someone I don't want to commit to.IP: Logged |

No way, Venus square Saturn is very into commitment. Venus square Uranus, not so much. I have both, I like commitment (I'm always looking for it) but then I get bored.IP: Logged |

Venus square Sun maybe Venus square moon; disconnection with the emotional side of Relationships.Venus square Neptune; idealized view of romance therefore a dis-satisfactions with your perception of love or past relationships, possibly hero/savior sort of romance without the happy ending Juno/Venus afflictions IP: Logged |

venus square saturn indicates low self esteem more then anything else in my experience.back around december I was seeing a girl who had it and her self esteem was terrible, she thought she was ugly even though she was easily a 9 or 10. she was tall and had a great body and beautiful blue eyes, she was model material but you couldn't tell her that. she was a natural beauty and didn't need makeup, not only that but she was brilliant and funny, but in her mind she didn't deserve a relationship.IP: Logged |

Agreed. But I have the oppositions. I can be fickle fickle fickle and jump quicky in and out of talking to guys, all the while looking for something serious- until I find someone who I commit to. The ease in which I can stop talking to the people I end up not being serious about can hurt. But I think that's my Gemini Venus. I'm a big contraction I think. Bc I can be so flighty but am very serious about only talking to one guy at a time. Kind of like serial pre-dating. It's pretty sagittarian? Maybe Either way I make it a point to be honest. OK enough out of me. I have Gemini Venus in the 8th conjunct my vertex and Chiron. Opposite Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. I am not afraid of commitment. IP: Logged |

Is it always something to do with Venus, or do other planets have to do with commitment too? Do we look at Mercury because of the mind and what we think? I think Juno is sextile Venus, so no problems there. But it is in the 3rd house (Juno) IP: Logged |

I have both venus-uranus and venus-saturn as well. wide orbs 4 and 5. I'm not afraid of commitment as much as I'm afraid of thinking they won't commit to me. Whenever I run from a potential partner it's because I question there loyalty, and then I have the mentality to leave them before they leave me lol. I've seen how depressed people get when they lose a loved one, and I would hate to think that someone could have that much power over my emotions that I avoid taking the risk altogether (scorpio stellium: sun/mars/pluto). However, there has been a couple cases where the feeling is so intense I couldn't resist. I admit uranus is pretty strong in my chart - quintiles Asc, sextiles Moon, squares Venus, trines Jupiter, conjuncts Neptune, and North Node - but if I didn't have trust issues I know I'd be very loyal & committed. I'm my own worst enemy IP: Logged |

Possibly, afflicted mercury/venus aspects could point towards inability to communicate with a partner or with people you find attractive. Or There could be a afflicted mars, mars represents not only our temperament but our passions, self-assertion, primitive desires and sexuality. One could be uncomfortable with intimacy therefore lack commitment abilities. IP: Logged |

Moon opposition/square uranus maybe? Not really getting emotionally close/connected with anyone? Commitment does involve being emotionally connected with someone right? I'm still a noob but thats my guess lol I have moon/uranus opposition with moon in 1st and uranus in 7th IP: Logged |

Mars conjunct Uranus (in H7) is one I've seen to indicate a fear of commitment. It sort of presented though as "I want a commitment" but then every time there was an opportunity for a commitment and things got serious, the Uranus kicked in. There was a lot of indecisiveness. IP: Logged |

i have a fear of commitment, for sure. i always think my identity is being taken away in a relationship..and i feel like i can't fully be myself or i feel like i'm missing out on other, potentially better opportunities when i'm stuck with one person.Venus in Scorpio Moon in Sagittarius Sun in Capricorn... my Venus doesn't make any Saturn contacts..actually it only makes pleasant aspects, like trine Mars, conj ASC, trine Jupiter, but it does square my MC.. my Moon is conj Saturn..don't know if that has anything to do with it. What i personally think is going on is that I have a LOT of Sagittarius/Jupiter influence, and I think I just want to be free and unattached, always. IP: Logged |

I am not commitment phobic but I find the idea of settling down and getting married really disturbing for some reason... since I know that I get depressed and bored easily, yet deep down a part of me craves stability and loyalty from someone. My emotional nature can be a bit eccentric since I can fluctuate from wanting to be very open to feeling a little overwhelmed by opening up. Sexually I can be very into it but all of the sudden, pull away at the idea of either of us becoming overly invested. Sometimes I can substitute sex for closeness/bonds or use it as a means of winning someone over, feeling secure, etc. Pisces Saturn H3 sq. Descendant Saturn trine Scorpio Venus Venus sextile Neptune-Uranus 8H Cancer Mars opposition Neptune-Uranus Mars trine 12H Scorp Pluto As for someone else I know with some commitment/trust issues, they have these placements:
Aqua Saturn quincunx Virgo RX Venus-Mercury in H1 Aqua Saturn trine Scorpio Moon Mercury-Venus trine Uranus Virgo Mars trine Neptune IP: Logged |
