Something I’ve noticed about the people in relation to the 7th house in their charts, is that people tend to psychologically latch onto certain parts of their 7th house, in terms of partner choices, while ignoring the other part.

So tell me about yourselves people! What parts of your 7th house do you embrace, and what parts do you choose to ‘ignore’ or have a resistance to.

For example…

Some people are more attracted to the sign of the Dsc ruler, then the sign actually on the Dsc, or to a planet in the 7th house and the sign related to that 7th house planet. Some people are even attracted to the sign associated with a planet that strongly aspects the Dsc ruler… Like if you have Uranus square the Dsc ruler and find yourself drawn to Aquarius influenced folks. Or if you have the 7th house ruler in the 12th house and are attracted to Pisces/Neptune folks.

For example, say a person has a Taurus Dsc ruled by Venus in Scorpio and Mars in the 7th house… They may for personal reasons decide they are not really that interested in Taurus, and yet love Scorpio, the sign of their Dsc ruler.

Or they may acknowledge an attraction to Aries people (Mars in the 7th) with Taurus planets and yet not really find them selves into Scorpio peeps.

Or say the Dsc ruler Venus is also conjunct Mercury… And this person finds themselves drawn to Gemini and Virgo types.

In my case I’ve got a Gemini Dsc with Jupiter in the 7th house, ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius falling at the end of my 12th house and conjunct the Asc. From an early age I’ve known that I’m attracted to Sag influenced people, and a strong Mercury. But Gemini as a sign was kind of annoying to me, and I didn’t think of it as really that attractive… That was until I actually did encounter a Gemini Sun the I found attractive, which changed my perspective somewhat. I realized that there are actually some aspects of Gemini that I find really attractive, but that I was just exaggerating the negative side of Gemini in my mind (Thinking of them as shallow and fickle) without acknowledging the cool parts Gemini. Over the years I’ve also found that I’m rather attracted to my Mercury’s 12th house placement…. I like to see some Neptune action in a guys chart, especially in aspect to Venus (I love when a guy can be macho and fiery, and yet kind of soppy, romantic and sentimental at the same time).

So people tell your Dsc sign, the Sign and house of your Dsc ruler, what planets you have in the 7th house, and if relevant what aspects you have to your Dsc ruler (Also if you have a lot of the next sign along after the Dsc sign in your 7th house, or a sign intercepted in your 7th house tell me about this as well)… And then tell me which parts of this (your 7th house) you find most attractive… And which parts don’t really resonate with you.

I’d love to hear about this. What parts of your 7th house do you like or not like?

Let's see, I have Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in my 7th and all in Capricorn. But my 7th is ruled by Sagittarius.

I don't usually don't like the way Sag people make me feel. Their energy is uncomfortable to me and I'm not sure why but I usually want to get away from it as fast as possible. With that being said, I do see that they're not just the party animals of the zodiac. They are actually quite intelligent signs and quick.

I don't like Saturn in my 7th house. While I'm usually attracted to an older partner, I feel Saturn hampers the flow in my relationships. It turns it into molasses and I'm constantly "waiting."

I do like Uranus and Neptune there, though. I imagine Uranus is going to help me when I find "One" (I haven't made up my mind yet about how I feel about "The One" kind of mentality) because he's going to come from out of the blue, and I'll have that sudden shock of intuition. I'm usually very Neptunian (internally anyway) and dreaming of love and love scenes, surprisingly I've never been the girl who's planned her wedding since age 4 though.

I like Neptune because it softens the blow of rejection, or Saturn. However it also causes me to hang on long after I should have left.

My dsc is Scorpio the ruling planet Pluto, is opposite my moon, mars, Eros, and Psyche in Taurus 12th house. With my Taurus in 12th house I am attracted to Pisces types of individuals but the co rulers of Pisces are Jupiter and Neptune but I am more incline to Sagittarius influenced guys because there opposite both my moon in Gemini and Venus in Gemini opposite Uranus which leads to my attraction to airy types. However with Uranus in capricorn opposite Venus I have been attracted to Cancer influenced men.

No 7th house planets unless BML in Scorpio counts.

I have Scorpio on the DSC cusp, intercepted by Sagittarius. I have a near exact conjunction with Pluto on the DSC. My NN is also there in Sag. I have Sun-Pluto, Mercury-Pluto, Saturn-Pluto aspects natally.

In a partner, I most appreciate someone who is insightful and possesses a lot of depth. I absolutely cannot stand any shallowness! Pluto here intensifies that need. With the NN, I'd also like some sort of personal/spiritual growth in a relationship. He should be charismatic and confident (Sun-Pluto, Mars in Leo), intelligent (Mercury-Pluto, Virgo 5th house cusp), and ambitious (Saturn-Pluto).

For the most part, I appreciate Scorpio qualities more than Sagittarian influences. The only thing I might have a problem with is too much seriousness/brooding. I'd love an awesome, witty sense of humor (Jupiter in 5th house)!

My DSC is Gemini, no planets are in my 7th house. It's ruler is Mercury in Leo in the 9th house.

I am more attracted to Sagittarians than Geminis, and I attract mutable energy without trying hard to begin with. It's come in the form of Pisceans, Mercurial and Gemini dudes, and of course Sagittarians. But I am not really all that compatible with these Mutable boys, because their flaking tendencies detract from my heavy fixed and consistent routines. Not that I am inflexible, it's just these signs tend to promise more than they deliver.
I love conversationalists and intellectual guys who aren't know-it-alls (although sometimes they sexy too).

Finally, when my Mercury is aspected by other planets such as Moon, Venus, or Mars or even his Sun, those are good chances of mental rapport between us.

leo descendant with ruler in the twelfth conjunct saturn. I'm not particularly drawn to leos or capricorns. I'm more drawn to libras, which is on my 8th house cusp.

DSC Pisces, no planets in there. Which is the ruler? Should i count Neptune or should i count Jupiter?

I'm somewhat attracted to Pisces, but not Sun Pises, but Venus instead! I can track it right away! My Neptune is in Capricorn and i don't like Capricorns at all! Whereas my Jupiter is in Leo and i adore Leos!

Lotis and Scarecrow, I also have Gemini DESC but I have Gemini Venus in the 7th H and Leo Mercury in the 8th H.

Initially I was always attracted to Leo men...period. Then I met a Taurus with Aries and Gemini influences, its been markedly way better. And it makes sense because I do have Venus in the 7th - hence Venusian men and my 5th H cusp happens to be Taurus and he's got Gemini Mars.

Interesting. Well another thing I take into account personally is the house symbolically related to the Dsc sign... What I mean by this is if the Dsc is Pisces (as in your case), I'll then look at the 12th house as well as the 7th for clues to the nature of the partner. In the case of a Pisces Dsc Leo is often on the 12th house cusp.

If you want to look into extra detail about the type of partner your likely to be drawn to, look at the house associated with the Dsc sign.

It goes like this...

Aries rising, Libra DSC… The 7th House has double importance.

Taurus rising, Scorpio DSC… Look to the 8th House.

Gemini rising, Sagittarius DSC… Look to the 9th House

Cancer rising, Capricorn DSC… Look to the 10th House

Leo rising, Aquarius DSC… Look to the 11th House

Virgo rising, Pisces DSC… Look to the 12th House

Libra rising, Aries DSC… Look to the 1st House

Scorpio rising, Taurus DSC… Look to the 2nd House

Sagittarius rising, Gemini DSC… Look to the 3rd House

Capricorn rising, Cancer DSC… Look to the 4th House

Aquarius rising, Leo DSC… Look to the 5th House

Pisces rising, Virgo DSC… Look to the 6th House

Using myself as an example, my Dsc is Gemini, and my 3rd house (the house associated with the sign on the Dsc) is Aquarius ruled by Uranus in Scorpio... I often do find myself attracted to those that have personal planets in Aquarius and Scorpio.

Wow Lotis, this is very interesting. I have Aquarius on my 3rd house cusp as a Sag ascendant, and a lot of the times in a guy's chart I was interested in, they would have a Venus-Uranus aspect. Either conjunct or opposition.

That might be grasping for straws as it's not exactly Venus in Aquarius or some other Aquarian placement but still...

And cool vertiver, I think it's amazing how the natal chart plays out in who we attract. Do you and your guy have Venus-Mars conjunct or just in the same sign? Just curious. And also I can relate with the 8th house thing. My Sun and Venus is in the 8th house ruled by Cancer, and I have attracted a lot of Cancer placements like you have Leos.

Like popcorn, Idk what it is about Virgo men but I don't like them... Lots of Leo women go for Virgos but eh.

Lazyscarecrow, it's not grasping at straws.

If your chart shows you have an attraction to Aqua energy it can show up in the other person in several ways...

1. The person has planets in Aqua.

2. The person has Uranus strongly aspected in their natal chart.

3. The person has a strong 11th house influence in their natal chart (This one is not as powerful as the sign Aquarius/strong Uranus showing up in the partner's chart. Houses tend to be a more 'diluted' version of the energy symbolized by sign or the planet ruling that sign. It’s like concentrated orange juice in comparison to watered down orange juice. However, the influence is still there, so it'll still have some effect on whether or not a person appeals to you).

4. The person aspects your chart with their Uranus (Even if a person isn't very 'Aqua-like' in general, if they strongly aspect your chart with their Uranus, they may seem like they're 'Aqua-ish' for you, which helps generate an attraction).

On a side note, I've got my Dsc ruler in the 12th house and I've noticed that I quite like Venus/Neptune aspects on people. So again, I'd say it's not a coincidence.

I'm always really interested by dsc and 5,7,8H discussions about attraction!

My Dsc is cancer with no other planets in the 7H. Dsc ruler, the Moon is in Virgo in the 5H. I don't seem to be attracted to cancer traits at all really. Virgo on the other hand...I tend to really go for Virgo rising or Virgo suns as friends and often am attracted to men with that really clean and noble look of a virgo, but not so much personality wise.

With Cancer ruling the 4H, mine is empty. It's in Taurus, which I usually don't get along with in any placement. It seems like my dsc indicates everything I steer clear of!

Anyone I've been involved with romantically has had a strong Leo or Scorpio sun or moon placement. I want my dsc to indicate something clear, but so far, I haven't figured it out.

ETA: I was just thinking that my dsc ruler is in my 8H, which also contains Pluto. Maybe that's where I get the heavy attraction to Scorpio moons? Plus my sun is in Scorpio.

DSC in Sag with Saturn and Uranus conjunct it and Neptune in Cap in the 7th. Jupiter in Aries in the 11th. 9th house in Aqua with Sun & Mercury in 9th.

I also have Mars in Sag and Venus in Pisces.

So overall I'm attracted to Sag/Cap/Aqua/Pisces types. I don't really ignore anything connected to my DSC, though.

So my DSC is ruled by Sagittarius, and my 9th house is ruled by Aquarius. I do think Aquarius' are the perfect partners for me! But snagging one, my god... I would need an army to wrangle them down and drag them to my lair. It's even hard to get them to be a consistent friend although when they are around you they make you feel special and like they truly care.

Anyway, so have Aquarius in the 9th house, Uranus in the 7th house (But in Capricorn) and Moon in the 11th house (as well as an Aries stellium there - Sun, Merc, Venus) trine Uranus. What say you Lotis? That I will most likely marry an Aquarius?

My DSC is Aquarius. No planets in my 7th house. Uranus is in Sag in my 5H, who's natural Leo ruler happens to be my ASC.

I don't feel like I ignore any of this..anymore. My Sun is in Pisces and it's the ruler of my chart. My feelings/wants are very important to me and if they are not all met I tend to distance myself (run away) from the person or situation that seems to be hindering me.

I love quirky, independent, vibrant people. All but two of my love interests has been a Leo. And my Pisces sun LOVES to dote on them, but it wears me down eventually because I start thinking that their need/want for attention is doubt for my feelings. And I hate having to prove myself all the time. Which is why I've sworn them off as anything but wonderful friends lol
I'd never been in a relationship with an Aquarius until my current one. They had always been my most loved/cherished friends though. My dad was an Aquarius through and through and he was my best friend while he was alive.

My current relationship, my Fiance is an Aqua Sun conj my DSC with Sag rising. I'd say he fits every part of my 7th house needs and wants. His Mars is trine my Sun, so he even activates my chart ruler and I get my Leo fix from myself haha. I'm so smitten it's disgusting.

Up until I met this man though, I'd have to agree with you, that I was picking out bits and pieces (unknowingly) that gave me what I wanted/needed, but only part of it. Which explains the "Gosh I'm happy but it just feels like something is missing" feeling.

I think that if a person is lucky enough to meet another that fills all this criteria ie: your DSC, it ruler's placement in house/sign, true ruler of that house/sign and aspects between those signs and planets in synastry...It's not a common thing and the draw to that person will be from the core of your being because well, they complete you

Yep. You got the best of both worlds. A partner with a stellium in Virgo in your 7th house... And a partner with their Sun in your 'Secondary' 7th house as shown by the sign on the Dsc... Leo.

I actually noticed this before and I think i mentioned it in a post to you, but maybe you forgot.

Anyway, This is way I love astrology. I love when you can really see why we attract the energy that we do, and I get excited when I get 'hits' which confirm the astrology of it all.
