I'm a Gemini w/ Moon in Sagittarius, thus I was born at the full moon. Consequently my pLunation Cycle & ppLunation Cycle run on the heals of each other: First comes pp then p.

Individually, pMoons in Gemini & Sagittarius were both fun.fun.fun. with the same themes popping up. pMoons in Cancer & Capricorn were very damp & depressing for my airy/fiery nature. The feeling was akin to being tossed in a wet dungeon and forced to work long & hard with no hope of seeing the sun or open field.

ppNM (Gemini/Gemini) came first, I was 13. Suddenly I'm on a plane, alone, flying across the world to live with my dad. I wasn't afraid. It was fun/exciting/new/exhilarating. That relationship soured within a year. My dad has Moon in Scorpio, when he jumped at me we collided. Next thing I knew I was back with my mom's family, only for two months before I was off again traveling.

pNM (Cancer/Cancer). This caught me living with my Mom's relatives. It was depressing from the start. On the inside I knew there was no escape. I just had to lay low, do as they say, and graduate HS.

PPFM (Gemini/Sagittarius). There was an inner dissatisfaction. I picked a spot on the map, quit my job, packed what I could, gave away what I couldn't & hopped on a bus. It was daring/crazy/bold/risky. Within two days I'd transplanted myself in a new reality. Within two weeks I found a job paying more than the one I'd left. My moon in Sagittarius was very happy with that decision. Then moon progressed into Capricorn and the first bits found me financially stable...but I was troubled.

pFM (Cancer/Capricorn). As said the first year of this influence was very rewarding. This also coincided with my Saturn return. I'm an astrologist so I prepared, BUT Saturn did THREE passes over its natal position in my chart. I bagged the first two, but he got me on the third. I made a couple of stupid moves; quitting without having alone job lined up, or having a ridiculously low nestegg (2 months).

Next thing I know, I'm in my car driving back "home" to the city I abandoned with pMoon in Sagittarius. Only lasted a month, however. Two weeks in, a job I'd interview for asked me to come in for orientation. Two weeks after that I was back on the open road. The job was awful. I knew I wanted to stay living in this new town, that I was on my own and had to buck up until I found something else. This made me felt stuck & depressed.

Coincidences: my relative from pNM was a Taurus/Capricorn. My boss from the job at pFM was a Taurus/Capricorn.

My opinion on the differences, based off my experience is, ppNM is akin to dharma/jupiter/NN/sextile aspect. Life is on your side and the Gods are rooting for you. pNM is Karmic/Saturn/SN is nature. Not necessarily negative, but it's an influence where you reap what you're sewn. This is where he universe gives back to you what you put out.

That said, the pNM is all about initiatives, where you life seems to take or try to take a new turn.
