i have a taurus tattoo. a bull skull. i like that it's a skull because i have scorpio planets which rule death. it's on my shoulder because it is the most conservative placement according to some silly diagram from a humor site. actually it's where the artist placed it. i wanted it lower on the bicep but saw it wasn't bad on the shoulder when i hadn't said anything so i went with it. my moon is in leo in the 10th but i can't imagine getting anything leo on me. Moon in Virgo 6th HouseAll my tattoos are blackwork and have a spiritual meaning for me. It's probably easiest to list them in chronological order. 1. This is on the back of my neck, on top of my throat chakra. It is a circle with a cross through it. The cross arms extend beyond the circle and at the end of each is a letter from a personal alphabet of mine, representing Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. In the center of the circle is a unicursal 7 pointed star, which appears to be 5 pointed at first glance, the points of the star extend beyond the circle too. Meaning: This was created as a compass, an aid for remaining aware of how I express myself and challenging my structures. 2. This is below and between my shoulder blades, on top of my heart chakra. It is a circle with interlinking circles all around the boarder, the small circles form twelve lotus petals as well as create a knotwork 6 pointed star containing two 5 pointed stars. All the spirit letters and main element letters from my alphabet are worked into the arms of the stars in a very stylized way (e.g. The symbol for water looks like a black moon over a crescent shaped lake, with three drops of water streaking down). Meaning: This one exists as a reminder that love shines through definition, that no matter the structure, love remains the same. It also reminds me that beauty can be found in both the simple and complex. 3. Below the heart chakra tattoo, just below the bottom of my rib cage, and on top of my solar plexus chakra is a solid black circle, divided by a three lobed infinity symbol It is intended to appear triscalian-esque, but without the spirals. Meaning: The black in this tattoo represents absorption and the infinity symbol reminds me that loss or gain of energy is an illusion. No energy is ever destroyed, only recycled. It also stands to remind me that objects in the world feed off each other, this is a koan because there is beauty in nourishment and ugliness in parasitism. 4. Just above my sacrum and on top of my second chakra, I have a Sun with 12 rays resting in a crescent moon. The rays form 6 lotus petals. Meaning: This represents duality and fluidity of gender and reminds me that nature is not black and white, but a synergy of both. This tattoo is a reminder to be myself, whatever that may be. It also reminds me that emotion and connection are the key to resolving my Sun/Moon square. 5/6. On my forearms are spirals which trail flames up to my wrists. When I put my arms together the shapes form a rams head (my ASC is in Aries). Meaning: This simply means "energy in, energy out". It is a reminder that touch can heal or harm. I want to get lots more tattoos, including head and possibly face tattoos. =D IP: Logged |

A chinese fire dragon wrapped around my right forearm. It's my pride and joy. A chinese man did it. It's there to remind me not to stray off my life path. It happened once and I nearly killed myself. An eagle on left shoulder sitting on a paper scroll. On scroll are names of my dogs that are no longer with me. A quote by Socrates on right shoulder to remind me to never stop living. A piece of lyric based on a song by Nick Drake on inside of left forearm saying "my wave will find its shore". Someday I hope it will... 2 mini angel wings on inside of left wrist each holding a "M". One M is a goodbye and one is a thank you. Cap Moon sq Pluto IP: Logged |

Does the skull (meaning death) holding a string of roses mean- waking from death? Or was the tattoo just a beautiful art piece without a meaning? IP: Logged |

nope...each tat means something significant to me.I got each tat at a specific point in my life. The dragon tat was when I was struggling with lots of issues. My chinese horoscope is the Dragon. The dragon I have is coiled on its tail spitting fire, it is holding a globe in its tail, the globe for me represents my world. It's a nasty piece but I love this tat.I have this on my left calf. The string of roses with the 2 skulls, was when I felt freed emotionally and mentally from those above mentioned issues. The skulls represent what's left behind but will always remain a part of me. the roses are a new beginning. I have this around my wrist. The butterfly is a 3d tat, on my other wrist. it represents my true freedom. The 'issues' do not have any hold on me anymore.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's stories so thanks to y'all for sharing. I adore the art, beauty, and self-expression of tattoos. However, I have none personally as I've yet to feel the urge deeply enough to have anything put on my skin permanently. One day though, I expect. Moon in Aries in the 1st house. P.S. Xiiro, your tattoos sound lovely. Blackwork's always marvelous; do you think you'd plan on staying with the blackwork theme if you ever got your head tattooed? IP: Logged |

Well some of my charts say moon in the 9th house others say 10th house..So i'll just say its on the 9th/10th cusp My moon is in Gemini, and I have 11 tattoos. Some are just words or sayings. If it's in the 9th house it can explain why I have all cultural tattoos, and why they have higher meanings behind them. Picture Tattoos 1.Myself as a pirate...represents my love for the ocean, and my individual free spirited personality 2.Tribal Wolf Howling at the Moon...represents my Native American Ancestry 3.Dragon...represents my love for Japanese culture 4. The Om symbol and underneath "Divine As the Moon, Deep as the Sea" I got it to describe my soul and spirituality 5.Tribal Butterfly with mothers name inbetween (mom passed away when I was young, this is also the highest tattoo on my body) 6. Stars hearts and swirls...represents my favorite shapes when i was little 7.Crescent Moon...represents my long time love of the moon Word Tattoos 1. My name 2. "elegant" 3."awaken to your true nature" 4."Virgo"

I might get this on my whole back. It's my tarot card according to my birthday. The chariot. Still looking at decks. Mine is Crowley. Always loved that deck. I kinda get them very fast when I know it's what I like. I think I'm getting the same feeling about the cards. I think I'll set an appointment tomorrow lol! IP: Logged |
