Astrologically yes the best bet are the 9 muses asteroids, Terpsichore is found in many famous dancers natal charts.
Anna Pavlova has 16 Libra trines the Sun at 24 Aquarius, opposes both Venus and Saturn at 10 and 24 Aries, and is inconjunct Neptune at 11 Taurus. Vaslav Nijinsk has Terpsichore at 28 Aries conjoins Venus at 6 Taurus and is semisextile Neptune at 29 Taurus. They were both help established the Russian Ballet .

Another set of dancers with this placement was Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Fred Astaire’s natal Terpsichore at 27 Gemini conjoins Neptune at 23 Gemini, opposing Saturn at 22 Sagittarius. Ginger Rogers’ (born 16 July 1911) natal Terpsichore at 5 Sagittarius is sesquiquadrate to a Sun/Neptune conjunction at 23 and 21 Cancer, and squared Venus at 8 Virgo.

Gene Kelly singer and dancer from "Singing in the Rain" had natal Terpsichore at 5 Pisces opposes both the Sun at 0 Virgo and Venus at 13 Virgo, and forms a T-Square with Saturn at 3 Gemini.

Michael Flatley "lord of the dance" has natal Terpsichore at 0 Libra is broadly squared Venus at 23 Gemini and semisextile Neptune at 2 Scorpio.

Is Terpsichore the ONLY asteroid about dance or there are others also?

Rudolph Nureyev is where it gets interesting - he didn't have anything in Gemini, and at first glance I thought I saw Neptune in aspect to Mercury, but turns out the orb is too wide so there's no aspect.

Olga Spessitzeva had Moon, Pluto and Neptune in Gemini. For those who don't know who she is, Diaghliev thought she was a better dancer than Anna Pavlova, and once during a rehearsal she made all the other dancers in the room start crying, that's how good she was.

Sylvie Guillem has Mercury in Pisces...so that same Mercury-Neptune theme is present there as well.

Thanks a LOT for all the info and pics

Positive Sun/AC or Moon/AC aspects
Moon/Mercury aspects
Moon/Neptune aspects
Mercury/Neptune aspects
Venus in aspect to Uranus/Neptune/Pluto or MC
Difficult Mars/Jupiter aspects
Prominent 3rd House
Prominent Taurus, Leo, Libra
Cancer Midheaven or Moon in the 10th
Quintiles and BiQuintiles also very important!

Gr8 points...Thanks for sharing !

I've read people with this aspect are physically graceful..good dancers.

I have the conjunction in Capricorn.
I was a dancer when I was in college. And uhmm..yeah, I believe I was a good dancer. I was told too that I had charisma on stage.

I have the opposition and contraparallel and mars is the 12th.....So a lot of mars-neptune
i believe i am good dancer and can be exceptional if i pursue it....i dont dance much in front of ppl though : : ...but when i do, ppl tell me i am gud..

Not specifically for dance, she was the mother of the sirens i.e. THE MUSE OF DANCING.
The only other asteroid directly related to creativity is "Musa" BUT that's non-specific. Just pull up your 5th and 7th harmonic chart to see if you have any quintiles or bi-quintiles.

My mom has Mars/Neptune conjunction and she is not graceful. In fact, the Neptune contacts have made several family members clumsier than the average person (I have the opposition to the Moon and I am clumsy as can be.) Maybe the Moon is to blame here and it takes away from the grace promised by the conjunction?

For musical ability, I would look for Venus. Forget about Neptune. Neptune is a misunderstood planet that causes confusion in anyone who thinks about it.

VENUS is the planet you need for music and dancing. Venus exalted in Pisces is a good indication of someone with musical/dancing ability. So is Mars in Pisces. Look, to some extent, to the 12 house though it won't be as effortless as the Pisces configurations. Look for Pisces and Venus.

There's other indications as well

12th house
Taurus on cusp of 12
Libra on cusp of 12
Pisces on cusp of 12 (Venus Exaltation)
Venus or Mars in 12 (Mars for athletic ability which is needed for dancing, 12/h rules dancing)

Then there's Aquarius which can indicate musical aptitude if other factors agree.

Leo emphasis depending on factors.

Capricorn emphasis if other factors support.

Sun in signs ruled by Venus or where Venus is exalted.

Angular, well aspected Venus.

Venus ruled Ascendant or Midheaven/ Venus conjunct Midheaven.

Venus in house 2 (maybe)

Venus in house 5 (lesser extent but possible)

It should but I thought you were looking for ones related to dancing?
Don't stress about it, the natal chart is just a blueprint of the placements you were born with. Abilities can be developed.

no.....actually, my orpheus falls on my descendant EXACT which is also my venus-neptune midpoint and venus-uranus midpoint.....and i also have saturn 1 deg away from this point....And since desc refers to marriage partner i thought that is something to worry about since orpheus indicates death as i read somewhere.....

WOW Orpheus is conjunct my descendant as well! Then again I do have a thing for musicians. Death of a partner depends more on future events, the natal chart primarily shows potential, and hints past karma well thats the way I view it.
