The thing about looks is that there is absolutely no one in the world that *everyone* finds attractive. It's all very subjective for the most part. Yeah, a *handful* only are dubbed truly good-looking/beautiful/knock your socks off, but even those people won't appeal to everyone. If you have the kind of looks that more than a few people find attractive, then you're doing really well. At least when it comes strictly to the "looks" department, and there's a lot more to people than just "looks." I'm talking here only appearance, not personality, temperament, compassion, kindness... etc. You get the idea. Everything else that makes for an attractive person.

well when i think of the type of good looks that the interpretations for venus in 1st or venus on the ascendant suggests i think of the guys and girls you went to high school with who were especially sought after. we all went to school with atleast 1 or a few girls who almost all the guys were after or the guy who all the girls were wanting to ask them out. true nobody appeals to absolutely everyone but there are some who come pretty darn close and thats what i think of when i think of venus/ascendant. lol and its not even a quarter in my case

Also, I'll be you *are* doing better than a quater of the room. You just don't know it, or are too shy to see it. Funny you should mention high school. Way back when I was there, I thought for sure that I was the *ugliest* girl of them all. I mean, way fugly! I never had a date. Wasn't asked to a single dance, party, etc... I mean, NOTHING. (Hey, chiron and Saturn in the 11th here!) Weirdly, if I got any kind of attention from guys, it was always outside the school and my area. I was so used to being ignored, that the first few times guys approached me, I honestly thought I was being punked! Seriously!! I thought it was a setup for a cruel joke.

Well, after leaving high school, things changed a lot. I was even at one point approached about modeling (Taurus rising, Venus chart ruler). Wow, that was a huge turnaround for me. Anyway, come to find out years later from a friend that a bunch of guys in high school had a crush on me. *WTF*!!! No one had ever said a single word to me! I had ZERO clue. All that time, and I not a single inkling at all.

You're probably too hard on yourself, and don't really see what's in front of you. Or people around you are
too shy to say anything. Even now at my *old* age,
I've only started to notice how people--both men and
women--can be so shy and scared of someone they
think is really good looking.

l

well its not that im even hard on myself i dont think im ugly, i just know i'm not especially good looking.

I was looking on that celebrity list and in terms of looks - Venus in H1/Pisces, Cancer or Aries - seem to be the ones with best looks... "generally speaking" - some of the rest might be good looking as well but in a specific (beauty is in the eyes of the beholder) kinda of way...

Aquaguy - i didn't see any photo of you, so maybe you could add it here as well... and I promise to give you a honest opinion and by honest - i mean objective - and won't use a blunt approach (i don't live in a cave)...

Another reason is that I am the least photogenic person on the planet! Seriously, I photograph way, way, WAY badly. I'm one of those people who always hears, "you look so much better in person." That's why my extremely short-lived modeling career went kaput pretty fast.

Really, it's scary how badly I photograph. Most photos of me are pretty old. I could try to post one of those, but I have to scan the photos first. They were all taken before digital cameras!

well i take terrible pics too lol. i actually look better in person. what sign are you

aquaguy91--and anyone else with Venus in Aquarius--keep in mind that Venus can be about how you appeal to others, not simply looks. That's not to suggest you're bad looking, just that there can be other considerations you might not have thought of. From what I've read about Venus in Aquarius, the native appeals to both genders, with Aquarius being a universal sign as well as the humanitarian. So, bear that in mind as well.

It really is a mix of aspects and such. It seems that maybe a few aspects can really influence a chart, or stand out, but it doesn't seem like it's all engraved in stone with only one interpretation.

I know what you mean though. Sometimes I wonder how the heck I wound up with some aspets that don't fit me at all.

not a flirt? but you told me i was "way" cute. haha

The being handsome part is mostly subjective - you guys seem to have self esteem issues (takes one to know one).

I used to be cute in High School - and i know that for sure, even tho was kinda narcissistic at that time (more than usual - all with Venus in House 1 might have this "issue"), i know it - cause "others made it way to obvious", besides complimenting me direct; - one of my colleagues was in the judo team (all girls) and she had a Mars in Aries house 1 type of personality - cause she'd act so blunt upon it... like "grabbing me over the shoulder and shouting at her team-mates "look what i got..." - and i wasn't just a cute face but also the way i was dressing... got approached on street more than once by strangers of similar age asking me where did i bough my blouse... or stuff like that. Was approached by a modelling agency as well with a proposition - yet, i didn't go - even tho was told by other that i should...for me was sufficient to know I'm good looking didn't want to parade on scene.... since 'it helped with my self esteem"... Tho, i didn't go to gym and "I'm a food lover" - didn't got fat but i don't have the body or the looks of Cristiano Ronaldo (for example):

...never did - so yeh, i was never "that special" ... Compared to him... well - i'm kinda meeeeh.. :P ...here - judge for yourself: http://imgur.com/a/QE0Sf - pictures from different ages (5... 18 ....29.5 as in now). I'd say I'm "normal" looking... can blend in with the crowd...

Although your point about self-esteem issues may have some merit, I'd be careful with that. It'll depend on sign placement, aspects, etc.. People may say "of course" without truly realizing that though.

The model pictured there has Venus conjunct Aries ascendant from the 12th house side, with a number of fortune aspects (exact conjunct Mars in Aries, sextile Jupiter in Aquarius, square Neptune in Cap, trine Saturn in Scorpio, inconjunct Pluto in Scorpio). All of that can factor into quite a stunning person--appearance and otherwise. So, placement and aspects can make a difference, too.

wasn't about that - more "like the way you put it... plus other stuff i piked up since I'm here" - but let me put it differently - and personally, I'm ok with any answer: So, you're saying that you don't have any self esteem issues - no problem in this area whatsoever... Is that correct?
