so...

has anyone ever heard of the story of 'person a' meets 'person b', and...a few weeks or months later, they marry and the rest is a fairytale?
i mean, ive heard of these stories, but, ive never met a couple like that. sure, i find it bizarre because im all about 'taking your time before marriage'
but, it does seem there are exceptions out there...of couples who dont even need to date...they just know they've met the one, get marry, and live happily ever after.

what are the placements behind this phenomenon?

what i find peculiar is that, there are married couples out there that get along perfectly, and dont even marry that fast. i ask myself, shouldnt people with great synastry-composite have the quickie marriage automatically?
(excluding life circumstances and obstacles that may impede a quickie marriage)

the quickie marriage...does this have to do with synastry-composite?
or is it just a placement apart from the basic good synastry and composite?
since marriage has to do with institutions, making things official...i wonder if saturn-cap has to do with this.
but, saturnian-cap energy likes to verify and to make sure things will be long-term, it is not an impulsive energy like that...
so, what gives?
share your theories....

again, im talking about people who get married in a whim and surprisingly, shock everyone else (everyone else was skeptical) because the marriage lasted/still lasting.

thanks!

Transiting Uranus in hard aspect to Venus can have this effect. Uranus transiting the 7th house, or Uranus aspecting the 7th house ruler, too.

I think strong Uranus in synastry can also indicate this. The initial attraction is very strong usually, which can lead to making impulsive decisions.

I think Neptune can cause this, too. I remember Britney Spears got engaged to K-Fed pretty suddenly when she was under a Neptune transit. I'm too lazy to look up the actual transit she was under. There may have been a Uranus transit going on for her, as well. Rose-colored glasses are on during a Neptune transit, so you often hear of people falling deeply in love with people during that time, which could, of course, lead to a sudden marriage.

Though, when I think 'sudden', 'on a whim', 'shocking' marriages, I definitely think Uranus!

My mom actually met my dad when transiting Uranus was exactly conjunct her Venus! They got married 3 weeks later (in India in 1978, this was common). They have been happily married, and obsessed with each other, for almost 35 years her progressed Venus was also conjunct her natal Saturn, indicating a 'formalized' relationship.

** of course, this doesn't always mean that under a Uranus-Venus/7th house ruler/DC/5th house/5th house ruler, you will have a quickie marriage! in my own experience, these transits have led to unstable relationships which ended as quickly as they began! It depends on the person's charts, the synastry, the progressions, etc..***

We agreed to get married 23 days later. It's been almost 20 years. Venus to Uranus in play.

Edit: We got married 11 weeks after meeting.

^^ so cute!

I forgot to also mention my sis and her fiance.
They both have Venus conj Uranus in Scorpio (he also has Mars there).

Within a week of meeting him, she told me, "I'm going to marry this man."

They started talking about marriage a month into their relationship, and quickly got engaged. They're getting married next summer.

She met him when transiting Neptune was doing a last pass over her Venus by square aspect. Even though the Neptune transit is long over, she is still head over heels in love with him, and cannot wait to marry him. She was also going through her Saturn return (Saturn is located in her 5th house and rules her 7th house).

I asked her how she knew he was the "one," and she said, "when you know, you just know!"

@starfairy....

what makes a chart have strong uranus energy...?
how does that look like?
is it like... lots of personal planets luminaries contacting each partner's uranus?
or uranus conjunct uranus (i dont think this would be strong enough, this is so generational that many people around the same age would have it)

@yourstruly...
was it a t-uranus hitting your venus? both venuses?

it seems to me that it would be more common that t-uranus will heat one venus placement...
what would make the other partner (unhit venus) to reciprocate so willingly?

thanks everyone...
very interesting

I'm sorry I don't know, but I need to enter in the marriage date/date of meeting/date of proposal to figure out transits.

Meanwhile, if you like to look at the astrology, here is the link:

aha...an example.
are these placements aspecting in synastry too? her conjunction making contacts with his?

mm....wonder if this can also happen with t-neptune transiting moon.

so, i have a question, since t-uranus is a long transit, there must be more aspects involving uranus that may trigger this effect, after all, not everybody will have venus or the 7th house making connections with a t-uranus...

Yes, Uranus conjunct Uranus is generational, so I would not include that.

Uranus in aspect to luminaries or personal planets, as well as angles. For example, my sister's Uranus is conjunct her fiance's Venus and mars. Her Fiance's Uranus is conjunct her Venus, sextile her Mars, trine her Moon and Juptier, conjunct her Ascendant.

My mom's Uranus is square my dad's sun, conjunct his moon, sextile his Venus. My dad's Uranus opposes my mom's sun, moon and mercury. My mom has Venus square Uranus in her natal chart.

Saturn also figured strongly into my mom and sister's stars. Saturn formalizes and adds longevity to a relationship. In my sister's case, she was going through her Saturn return when she met her guy, and Saturn rules her 7th house. Her and her fiance have Saturn exactly conjunct their DC in Composite. My mom had progressed Venus conjunct her Saturn when she met my dad.

Actually, yes, everyone will have a connection from transiting uranus to their Venus at some point in their lives. Unless they die really early or something.

Uranus was conjunct my natal Venus when I was in middle school. It will square my natal Venus in about 3 years. Uranus only spends 7 years in one sign, so it can make many aspects to your Venus in your life.

Uranus squared my natal Mercury (ruler of my 7th house) a couple of years ago, and I fell for a guy pretty fast! I have Venus in Capricorn sextile Saturn in my chart, and no Uranus aspects to my 'love' planets, so I'm not naturally impulsive when it comes to love, and getting married 'quickly' is unlikely for me.

My sister and mom have strong Venus-Uranus contacts in their natal charts, so perhaps the combination of synastry, transits, and their natal Venus-Uranus aspects led to them having quickie marriages/engagements. I'm far less impulsive (when it comes to love) because I have strong Saturn/Capricorn influences.

And like I said, my mom's and my sister's charts also showed strong Saturn influences, as well. My mom and dad met quickly (uranus), and formalized the relationship quickly, but it has lasted a long time (saturn).

My husband and I married after knowing each other *counts on fingers*
About 15 weeks, dating for a little (very little) less.

I don't know about transits, but our composite has a lot of purdy Saturn.
It's in the 7th of all houses, but sextile a our 5th House Mars and is part of a Grand Trine with the Moon and Sun/Venus conj.

What's there to creep out? That's three successful long term marriages. How many well planned meticulously thought out marriages end disastrously soon after marriage? More than we can identify.

I'm not questioning your decision. I'm just not the kind of person who would get married after a few weeks or months of a relationship.

A neighbor of mine, an old friend did just that. He's an Aquarius and so is she - they got married around 8 years ago and seem to be happy together - just recently, they had a son.

^ I think my Grandparents got married after like 4 months and were married until he passed at the age of 93 (Gemini/Leo).

It all started out in the most unromantic setting: a takeout pizza joint.

Me: That was fun, what's in store next?
Her: Dunno. Settle down, buy a house, move in
Me: You mean.. Like be married?
Her: Well yeah. Got to follow the script, right?
Me: (mouth full of pizza and choking). Did you just suggest we get married?
Her: I guess so. Oh well. Got to do it sometime.
Me: (choking on my drink). Oh Ok. Alrighty then. When? Do we have to go tell the parents?
Her: Whenever. And F the parents. How about May?

And all I was asking was where she wanted to go for dessert and coffee.
