I think being blunt does not equal being insensitive. Blunt people speak directly and are aware of the damage they do but they do it anyway. That's cruel, not insensitive. Virgos and Scorpios can be that cruel with words, intentionally.Insensitive people simply say or do things without being aware that other people may get hurt by it. I agree with other forumees here suggesting that lack of water can make one insensitive. They just dont relate, dont get it. A recent example with me - i am a Pisces Rising with heavy Neptune and can get moody at times. I was listening to Rihanna's "Stay" yesterday and as the mood settled in , i replayed the song
maybe 20 times, i even might have shed a tear. Here comes into the picture an ex boyfriend whom i still talk to as friends only. The guy is a Libra Sun and Venus with Aqua Mars and Aqua Rising and NN. He texted me to ask what I was doing. I said i was listening to "Stay" and was moody and that i was listening to it 20 times already. His response was- with the best intentions because he is not malicious - he says - ADHD or OCD.
lol I said - you are going to ignore right now because you just pis**d me off. He said - wait, wait, what did i do?
I did put him on ignore until further notice. He called a dosen of times after that. He just doesnt get it when people get emotional.
See...i am in a mushy state of mind and i like it, and he diagnosed me with OCD. uuggh. INSENSITIVE. / IP: Logged |

Yea, I know what you mean  IMHO, relationships can only succeed if there is understanding, compromise and trust.Love or sentimental feelings we have should not be used as leverage over the other person so as to make him/her do whatever we want. I hate it when a guy tells me ;''if you love me you would do it for me'' There is 99.9999% chance that I will end up not doing whatever he wants me to do even if I initially thought of doing it. It's rare, but I've listened to songs (or watched vids) repeatedly for various reasons, including moodiness (though it's much more likely because I'm trying to figure out it's hidden meaning or symbolism, or because it makes me feel good). But I have to say I'd have laughed...maybe it's my own Libra sun & Venus. Granted, I wouldn't be inclined to SAY what he did (but then I hate texting, in part because so much gets lost without tone of voice, facial expressions, etc)...maybe because I'm on the Scorpio cusp which I think makes me interested in personal motivation and I'd have more asked why than some bored banter like he did. I have a friend, she is gemini sun and accendant , aries moon , mercury ( I forgot) .
She is not sensitive , always go forward . When someone make her angry , she can be mad but can easily let it go compare to me a water-emotional type  .ie , boss said something quite harsh to her , she can forget it in an hours and act like nothing happen . I admire her attitude.Another one , I don't know her AC , but ALL her personal planet in aquareus , she just "don't care" what others think about her , she will try to get anything she want on her selfish basis. Her attitude in our conversation is like " you don't need to think what people think of you , just get everything you want even that bother others but when you get it you deserved it " and other co-workers let her alone , we kind of banned her.
The last girl , she doesn't know the word " sympathy". Both are "insensitive" personality , they do have good and bad quality. IP: Logged |

I'm wondering if it's not that water signs are "more sensitive" but rather "TOO sensitive." I've known too many people who had fits or fell into pieces because of "mean" things someone else said that weren't mean at all (or even telling them to stop being mean to someone else), or act as if someone who disagreed with them on anything had just called them every name in the book, and though I only know a few of their suns most of those I knew like this were Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. IOW, it's not that water people are more aware, but rather more prone to blow things out of proportion. Of course from their point of view it would seem people were being too blunt, rude, self-centered, etc, for not realizing just how much easier it was for them to be hurt and take things personally than it is for others.And some are exceedingly callous to others while throwing a fit if anyone treats them the same way they treat others, like a heavy water chart that flippantly calls others stupid but gets upset at the outrage if anyone throws the word back at the water sign and act genuinely confused why anyone would take offense at when she says it as it's "the truth" but that the ones she outright called stupid are "so insensitive as to say it back." And some of them could be exceedingly cruel to others (sometimes revenge for slights real and imagined, sometimes "preemptive strikes," but sometimes they seemed to enjoy it). Heck, my Scorpio mom (with plenty of Scorpio planets with a smattering of others, including Pisces Jupiter) at her worst reminds me of Cruella de Vil in how much pleasure she took in hurting others (even down to cruel laughter, though Mom's laugh was much more restrained). And even in her good moods where she was TRYING to be nice to me she found ways to cut me down (though possibly her Leo ascendant, N. Node, and Mars may have played a part here, she just couldn't seem to help but see others as inferior, but unfortunately that made her think it was ok to torment them for it). IP: Logged |

It is funny now that i think of it. I took him off ignore. Btw, my Venus is in Libra, in the 8th house with The Sun in the 7th. I love Librans and especially the Libra/Scorpio mix. Alluring to a dangerous level. quote:

I think what we're forgetting though is that while water signs might be more sensitive, they also have the sensitivity and intuitiveness to be the most insensitive if they choose to be. Also the most hurtful. IP: Logged |

My mother! She's sun,merc,Venus,mars in sag. Virgo ascent conjunct Pluto. I seriously can't deal with her. She has no problem picking someone apart in the most cruel way. but mention her faults, and suddenly she's a victim. She can talk her sh*t , but you can't lol. Today I told her that the shrimp dish she made was lacking flavor and needed more salt. And she seriously had a fit over that.I forgot to mention she also has aqua moon exactly conjunct saturn. I know someone who leans that way (not too extreme, but noticeable). Her Sag sun makes her frank & blunt, her Scorpio Mars can make her say some mean things when she gets upset, yet her Cancer moon means she can't take what she dishes out. IP: Logged |
