fire moon? lots of planets in the 10th to 3rd house?

I'm just taking guesses here. What does it mean to be insensitive? That one lacks empathy? That they don't feel that concerned by other peple's isues? Or maybe they do but they just don't want to show it?

I think I am very loving and caring but the way I do it could seem insensitive to a watery person (And has... RAS)

I'm water void (just pluto) and so are most of my close friends/family.

3H Pluto

Which I have.

Sometimes I say stuff that I think is just harmless and people react as if I just said the most cutting thing ever.

Ooooo I second that!

Edit: Hmmm no, wait. I really have only known one terribly insensitive Gemini moon.

You are not insensitive, neither is Charmaine. Ian says he is, but I've never seen him really try and hurt anyone's feelings. My daughter is a Gemini moon and very sweet to all other kids.

I take it back~ 'can't say I've seen many Gemini moons being insensitive.

Transit pluto in 3H has definitely made me little bit insensitive and it’s a blessing for all the water I have in my chart.

Mercury-Pluto?

I don't know /if/ I know many Gemini Moons, but my Baba is triple Gemini, Sun-Moon-Asc -

we had such a difficult time embracing each other when I was little and suffered with our communication mostly -

this and her Mercury placement being opposite of my own probably contributed most...

She truly isn't insensitive, it's just how she thinks... very much like stated... a very truthful (*coughcoughbluntcoughcough*)woman, tough as nails too.

It's her Gem/Cancer/Libra/Taurus placements - she is one hard headed grandmother... and she kinda' expects others to have the same thick skin she does. >.>;

But, to really be on topic - it's an emotional vs intellectual issue, (I think).

Moon - Mercury would be the culprits that I'd most suspect if I encounter someone with an insensitive habit.

Some people are emotionally disconnected, or desensitized themselves...

some people with this affliction are simply rude, self-absorbed, tactless, and immature.

Moon
Mercury

hard aspects, or placements...

and certainly what Ami Anne has pointed out... water void/negative water aspects/placements, and an over abundance of any of the three other elements. too much earth - cold, too much air - overly detached, too much fire, self-centered... you get it~ elemental imbalance probably factors in to a point...

it doesn't have to play out like that ^ just one way that things can go...

yet, it depends on the maturity and life experiences and transits and returns and progressions that a person has gone through and how they've handled themselves, met with their challenges, goals, and how world weary or distant they've let themselves become...

sometimes it's just synastry... sometimes it all stems from the natal, other times, it could be a passing transit - humans are a strange animal, we can be socially inclined and conscientious, or completely self-serving... I don't think the chart will dictate this choice, it's "free will".

You either chose to be a coldhearted sob that sees little worth in relationships with others (maybe even begrudging them for their inferiority/weaknesses), and their well being, or you rise above that baser behavior and learn to value and understand and appreciate others. I don't think the compulsion exists in man to be just one way... but, if he wants to believe so... have at it.

eh - just mho

Uhm we used to call it Manhood.

Nothing wrong with enjoying aesthetics or even a fine dinner, or long talks

But my goodness "insensitive" has come to mean "you do not agree with me"

Uhm..probably not
