Mercury in Scorpio/11th house/trine Pisces Saturn in the 3rd/Sq. Cancer Mars in the 8th. I have a lot of books about the following... A. Existential and theoretical lit [go Merc-Saturn!] B. Dramatic biographies and tragic stories, Hamlet, books about Gia Carangi, Anne Sexton's letters, stories of overcoming abuse and terror, etc... must be a Scorpio thing. C. Dry, satirical comic pieces by authors like David Sedaris, also Jean Paul-Sarte, also sort of falls under A but what the heck, I just love dry humor and anything that's satirical. D. A collection of art books and fashion books of big glam rock stars like Bowie and of artists like Munch and Yoko Ono. Probably caters to the 11th house influence. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Taurus in 1st house - conjunct Venus, opposite moon/neptune, square saturn. I'm a complete and utter bookslut. I will read anything and everything, even the shampoo bottles in my friend's bathrooms will do when I feel desperate. My book collection is eclectic and vast. Fiction/ non-fiction, old/new .... everything from Chaucer to Austin to Tolkein to Yann Martel, in just about every fiction genre. And I love all sorts of non-fiction - esp spiritual and esoteric literature, astronomy, architecture ... but really anything will do. My favourite reads are always a bit offbeat (I admire originality, not formulaic reads) .... not too mainstream.. they must present a challenge. Something like Umberto Eco is pure heaven for me. I need time to read every day or I feel miserable, and I can't get rid of my old books easily. My house is full of bookcases in every room. I am trying to buy ebooks now to curb the overloading problem. IP: Logged |

My Mercury is Sagittarius and is in the 1st house. My bookshelves mostly contain poetry (all sad and dark stuff), weird and dark fiction (H.P Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Sylvia Plath etc.), with some plays. I also enjoy going to the library to read about history, politics and astrology. IP: Logged |

My favorite in my library collection are: Twilight Harry Potter The Messenger All of Rett MacPherson's mysteries The Ice Man by Philip Carlo The rest are assorted astrological/spiritual, relationship, psychology, and self-help books. When I was younger I used to get fashion books. Sun conjunct Mercury, Mercury conjunct Venus, and all three of them in the 11th house, with Aquarius ruling my 9th house. IP: Logged |

Mercury Libra in the 6th house. I used to have hundreds of books but had to par down-a lot. My last purge I got rid of a bunch of biographies, books on parenting, self help books, a few Dr. Laura books, which I don't consider self help-I just find them entertaining, some spiritual books, a set of encyclopedias from the 70's, some novels. Right now I have a large collection of Uncle John Bathroom Readers, astrology books, a college math book, a book on how to have a body like a dancer, (I used to have another book on how to do the dancer exercises and actually used it and it worked really well but I gave it up and thought I might get back into it so I picked up the one I have now and I'm still thinking maybe someday...) a book about screenwriting, all three volumes of the Tightwad Gazette, two of Chelsea Handlers books, two of Ellen Degeneres' books (I love them) A book called the Broke Diaries which started out as a blog, ahm, let's see what else, a huge dictionary from the twenties that includes a mini medical dictionary, science and short hand. I used to have a book on shorthand actually but that was a long time ago. I have some recipe books-used to have a lot more though. I've always enjoyed reference books but I used to read a lot of fiction too, but that's before I had kids. IP: Logged |

I don't own any of above magazines ^^ - above post was meant to be a shallow/superficial prank for - April Fools' day (seemed fitted for the topic in question). Though, i did bought a PlayBoy magazine - back when i was 12 years old. In those days (90's) - we had no internet and very few of us had a VCR at home, so... yeah, in a way - that was the closest thing to porn. Was just a boy, curious by nature - but as a Gemini, was also whiling to share my discoveries with others. I bought that magazine during school brake and brought it back to school... and... ^^ what can i say - there was a lot of hunger in the air for its contents. Both male and female colleagues gathered around my desk - forming a circled around it (like a tent) - literally climbing on top of each-other just to see something... as if i found a real treasure map - or some alien technology. ^^ For me, that excitement had a short life spawn. I bought 3 edition of PlayBoy in total and after that - I lost the interest for similar type of magazines... and just like a Gemini (young and foolish as most boys of my age) - i moved to something more interesting like "IT (back then - I had a big passion for computers and newly released technology)". ^^ ...that was so Gemini (doing it by the book) of you guys. LOL! I actually admired you for it. "Wow, he reads Cosmopolitan? That's a good way to get in touch with how women think."
