Thinking mercury because I noticed women with strong mercury are comfortable with a bit of androgyny. My mom with gem sun and gem asc uses just mascara. IP: Logged |

1st House Uranus trine Sun and a 3rd House Aqua Moon.Edited to add: Also a 7th House Taurean Venus tightly opp my Asc. I almost never wear makeup. I don't get the point. Re: androgyny: When I was younger, a (gay) friend of mine commented that with a baseball cap on I looked like a pretty girl. With it on backwards, I looked like a "hot gay boy". So. There it is. ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

I've noticed some cap suns, and cap Venus, who are like this. Like absolutely NO makeup at all.. And they are smug about it too. As if they are better than those who wear makeup ..i can't remember their aspects, but I remember those placements.IP: Logged |

I'm interested about this too, since I don't like to wear make up, but I don't know what kind of placements would cause that. :/Well, my friend and I have both strong Uranus, and we don't wear make up. IP: Logged |

So... Capricorn sun - present Uranus influence - present Mercury (chart ruler) - presentI don't feel better than the women who wear makeup. I only feel sorry for those who panic at the thought of being seen without it. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

Moon in aspect to Neptune can make you allergic. I like makeup but it just feels so weird wearing it. I hate the feeling of it on my skin with a passion which is why I rarely do. It makes my skin itch and my eyes get allergic. Feels like I am wearing something that makes my skin crawl!IP: Logged |

I like make-up a lot, but not too much - just to make it look great. I am triple Libra (Sun, Venus and Mercury) all conjunct in 2nd house (which is ruled by Venus...)IP: Logged |

Usually I go for the stuff I can afford and it happens to be what my skin dislikes the most. So, I just don't bother. It's not like it's the most important thing in my life. If people like wearing it, that's cool. I think it looks great when features are enhanced and skin tone is evened out.

I do too. It's kinda sad. I was watching 'my strange addiction' with my sister the other day and there was a woman obsessed with wearing make-up. To the point she even wore it to bed! imo she looked better without it or at least the amounts she had on... It would be interesting to see what her aspects/placements are lol xD I like make-up more in a fun way and depending on occasion. Sometimes I like to do light make-up, sometimes I just don't want to wear it and feel much better without and sometimes I like to wear really spunky and colorful eyeshadow. IP: Logged |

I can take it or leave it. Like Kerosene noted, I have a strong Mercury. For work I'll put on mascara and lip color, nothing on my skin but sunscreen. If I can only wear one item of makeup, I opt for bright red lipstick -- that gets a lot of smiles and attention from men for hardly any effort About the only time I'll do a full makeup job is for stage or an audition and then I can make myself look anywhere from 30 years younger to 30 years older depending on the role, so that can be fun. Nothing like playing a VERY old woman -- removing makeup at the end of the performance feels like a face lift in a jar of Pond's cold cream. IP: Logged |

I've noticed Cap influence too, but combined with Uranus/Neptune - one girl has Sun conjunct Neptune/Uranus and the other has Venus conjunct them and they both don't wear makeup. Another one I know is a Cancer, and I'm pretty sure her Sun opposes Neptune/Uranus, again. My best friend is a Taurus with a Libra ASC but oddly, she's not really into makeup either.. she has Venus in Gemini widely opposite Uranus/Jupiter in Sag. Personally, I wear makeup and find it very useful - I have pale skin and my eyelashes are almost invisible because I'm a redhead.. So it adds more color / expression to my eyes. I love lipstick, too. I think Libra planets are usually into makeup.

I makeup. It is truly an art and you can do so much with it - it just amazes me. I think it's Neptunian to love makeup. Someone who is not into makeup... might be a feminist who has yet to hear of lipstick feminism or who is against lipstick feminism. I'm not sure what aspects would go with that honestly. Being closed minded? Brainwashed by chauvinistic dogmas that say good little girls should stay home, look after kids and never be sexual? -- going along with the whole mother-wh0re dichotomy. Maybe Mercury-Saturn in harsh aspect. I think basically there are two things at play here: A lack of understanding for the sexual power of makeup.. or.. a lack of ability/desire to use sexual power. and secondly.. An adherence to norms about being a 'good little girl'. IP: Logged |

Obviously this is not the only category of women who wouldn't be into makeup.I'm sure for instance sporty women who are always on the go - might choose not to wear it, as it would be inconvenient. Also - it's perfectly normal in daily life to not wear makeup.. in many circumstances.. People who are addicted to makeup and won't ever take it off - are likely mentally ill. But those who have an *issue* with make-up.. and who refuse to wear it - can fall under the category of feminists I described above. IP: Logged |

lol Unfortunately - yes - I'm serious. It really shouldn't have to come to this, but it seems politics really make the world go round. quote: , Lipstick feminism proposes that a woman is empowered — psychologically, socially, politically – by the wearing of cosmetic make up, sexually suggestive clothes, and the practice of a sexual allure that appeals to men and to women. The rhetoric of 'choice' and empowerment is used to validate such overt sexual practices,[5] because they no longer represent coerced acquiescence to societally established gender roles, such as “the good girl”, “the decent woman”, “the abnegated mother”, “the virtuous sister”, et alić.Other feminists object that the so-called empowerment of Lipstick feminism is a philosophic contradiction wherein a woman chooses to sexually objectify herself, and so ceases to be her own woman, in control neither of her self nor of her person.[6] In an ongoing debate, Lipstick feminism counter-proposes that the practice of sexual allure is a form of social power in the interpersonal relations between a man and a woman, which may occur in the realms of cultural, social, and gender equality.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipstick_feminism Again - I am not saying all women fall in this category. As Krista just mentioned she has an allergy. So there can be other reasons to choose not to wear make-up. But - there is a group of women out there who take a stance against make-up for these feminist/political reasons. And I disagree with this ^ I think - as above - that their views come from a lack of understanding of the sexual power of make-up (amongst other things). But I have Venus opposite Pluto in my chart - so it's not overly surprising I have these views IP: Logged |

If I was a woman I would wear loads of makeup, seems like fun. Plus there is an artistry to getting your eyeliner right and the eye shadow. Sometimes I see people judging girls for wearing a lot of makeup, I think that's kinda rude. Maybe she liks that dramatic look.. I think it takes a lot of effort and literally no effort not to wear any.I creepilishy watch makeup guru's and I like seeing the transformations. I've learned way too much about makeup for my own good, ironically have no interest in it other than watching random people applying makeup. IP: Logged |

Self expression is the most important thing imo so whatever one feels comfortable expressing is fine by me. If some chick wants to wear tons of makeup, fine, if she wants to wear none at all, fine. The important thing is not whether they are wearing it. To me, the most important thing is they get to make a choice about it. It's about freedom first and foremost. That's the real issue here.IP: Logged |
