I like to compare what cnj the house ruler with the bodies cnj the house cusp itself~

for instance, my Saturn rules 5th, my cusp lies in the 8th degree of the sign - cnj these bodies~ > Kaali, Medusa, Dodona, Imperatrix and I look at Eros, Ishtar, Garuda, Eucharis, Sarpedon, Date Masamune, Shanghai, Lova who are in direct contact to the cusp ruler and apply that with the house ruler itself... so there are pretty easy to see connections made between house, house ruler, and house cusp - each helping define that house's overall energy. (those are only the absolute nearest bodies, I use the 2deg orb for Saturn usually, and a 3 for Sun/Moon or united/stellium bodies because they are obviously emphasized energies that draw in more from their surroundings in the chart, I use different orbs for different aspects, points, and bodies... matter of preference though...) It's also seems logical that we consider each ruler entwined with the other ruler (rulers) who fall within their dominion. So, Scorpion Saturn defines the basic energy within the 5th house realm, but it is also ruled by Mars-Pluto, and likewise what they are in contact with add into the collective feel of Saturn's rule on the 5th. Then, my 5th house Sun and its contacts help colour the energy of my 12th house, but are also under that influence from each of those 3rd house Scorpion bodies. ~and just to muddle things more... compare and contrast this with the traditional ruler order. After all this is looked at, you can really start to feel the energy in each of the houses, the chart comes to life. <3 It's so time consuming, I only wish I had the patience and tolerance to actually share the things I've tested, theorized, studied, and found in astrology with others... but, whether it is that Uranus transit (combined with Pluto, no doubt) kicking in or something else... I'm about as patient and tightly wound as a darn jack in the box these days! >.<; I have zero commitment left in me for *sharing* anything with anyone... gosh it sounds bad... but, I'm somehow completely happy in my dark corner hoarding my lil' secrets for another day, when I feel they can be useful and appreciated by someone else. lol

~that has to be Pluto's influence right now actually... *nerdsnort*

With asteroids, the orb is super small-- 3 degrees tops in a conjunction imo
