Just a matter of time..
He's 40 years old, has a past of 'cheated by', he's diabetic, confronted with the high seks drive of his girl, went to a job losing etc. Ofcourse he's afraid! (how old are we here to assume the nastiest things OR to exclude progression? what do we want? a GOD? well forget it, we're all HUMAN) In the early stages of a budding relationship (one whole year *IS*) there's just a whole lot to discover yet, how to find balance and deal with things as these.. Progression as it's rightly driving you insane.. and ofcourse that smile, as he felt so Lucky you really cared. THAT'S the *smile*!.. the smile that somehow invites *your* smile, to make a joke out of it.. plz let's laugh about our pains as life is too hard to include them.. yea just *TELL* me you're gonna F*ck with every guy on the street so that I know it IS a joke, we can MAKE a joke out of it.. It's prob. not the time yet.. but Venus you sound strong enough to me to find a way to deal with it. Just felt the need to ventilate an opposing force here. IP: Logged |

Venusian Moon, I understand what you are going through but I think you shouldn't lash out at people who are trying to help specially when everyone here is just attempting to give you a different prescriptive on the matter. What you said to Charlie was uncalled for and I know "her"  to be a very nice/helpful member.Back to your problem, I think your Bf is just experiencing some self-esteem crisis and it's understandable specially at his age.
He nearly lost his job, suffers from diabetics, obviously older than you and has less sex drive than you and all that has resulted in that feeling of insecurity he's experiencing.
He fears losing you and his accusing behavior is just his way to deal with this sense of security instead of talking to you about his fears openly.
Be honest and open with each other. this is the only way to get over this. ------------------

My boyfriend acts the exact same way .
I also have a very high libido , that just makes it worse because he is always thinking i want to get in bed with other men .
