I am almost without exception drawn to mutable ASC`s, or more preceisely Sag and Pisces ASC. Happens just too often. As for Sun signs: Sagittarius- Capricorn - Aries Moon signs: Sagittarius - Aries - Libra/Scorpio cusp Mercury signs: Sagittarius - Aries Venus signs: Capricorn, then nothing for a long long time. lol after that Scorpio - Sagittarius (sometimes Taurus, Virgo, Pisces, but this is more rarely) Mars signs: this one is not so fixed, however there is an inclination to mutable Mars-signs except Gemini
But even more importantly the men I have been attracted to had tohave a challenging Pluto aspect to Venus or Mars, plus a strong Jupiter influence on Venus and Mars as well. Saturn is a must, too.
I can´t do too much with the personal signs (except ARies) Taurus through Leo for some reason. same goes for people with so called soft or easy charts without tension the outer planets, especially Saturn or Pluto. I need these. IP: Logged |

5th house taurus 7th house cancer 8th house leotaurus mars cap venus I like virgo, libra and sag, or people with a lot of sag, virgo and/or libra in their chart. I have virgo vertex so the attraction becomes even more intense if their virgo placements aspect my vertex. Especially if they have virgo moon conjunct my vertex <3 About libra, I couldn't really find an astrology reason as to why I like them so much. When I knew a bit more about asteroid I found that I have ceres, eros, aphrodite and hera all in the sign of libra. I think that explains why most of my experiences with libras are good and I see them in such a positive light, although we don't always share similar values. I like pisces, sag (I have sag mercury, juno, valentine and amor) and gems (don't know why I like gems). But I'm shy from interacting with them. I only "watch" these people from afar and find myself agreeing with or admire a lot of what they say and silently applaud. And I like aries too, coz I have moon in aries, but my moon is very afflicted and I have not learned how handle it well. So although I like them, it seems like there is always tension in the air. I've got:Capricorn on the 5th House cusp Pisces on the 7th House cusp Aries on the 8th House cusp I actually find that I'm most attracted to people with strong placements in Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces. I actually think this makes sense, though, as I have my Moon and IC in Sag, and Saturn and Neptune are both in my 4th House (although, not in Sag, but still). I'm not usually too into my fellow Arians, though. ------------------ Sun -> Aries Moon -> Sagittarius Ascendant -> Virgo IP: Logged |

Lets see, I have...8th house Aqua 7th house Capricorn 5th house Scorpio Only one of these I can say I have felt an attraction for is Scorpio, and they usually are very drawn to me as well. Fabulous lovers they are! For some reason I am incredibly attracted to Leo which is my 2nd house, these people make me weak in the knees lol. Want to help stir my libido, show me a Leo! Also have had Aries(my 10th house) people before come onto me, but it really never works out for whatever reason. They are cool as friends but not so much romantically.

8th house taurus7thh house aries 5th house aquarius im rarely attracted to arian women. but i have some sort of connection with aqua people in general; and am usually very attracted to aqua women. and even taurus women, something about their earthiness and easy going manner meshes well with my pisces moon <3 im also very attracted to scorpio women and they seem to be the most reciprocal of my feelings.

Yup, this is my kind of topic. If we really want to figure out our attraction pattern it's important to go DEEP. Look not just at the sign on the 5th, 7th, and 8th house cusps, but also the planets in these houses, the sign of the cusp ruler, the house of the cusp ruler, and the aspects made to the cusp rulers. In my chart... 5th house is Aries, ruled by Mars in Leo in the 9th house. 7th house is Gemini ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius in the 12th house but conjunct the Asc. Jupiter sits in the 7th house. 8th house in Cancer ruled by Moon in Cancer, in the 8th house. Buy Sun sign I usually go for Aries and Sag, and one time I did crush on a Gemini. Aries is my 5th cusp sign, Sag is mentioned several times in my pattern (5th house ruler in the 9th, Jupiter in the 7th house, Dsc ruler in Sagittarius). Gemini is my Dsc sign. It's pretty well explained. Water Moons are quite appealing to me too. Scorpio and Cancer particularly. The 8th house ruler is in Cancer in the 8th house. I think that explains it. In the natal chart overall, I like to see a LOT of fire influence, and Mars in a Fire sign is probably the most appealing to me. All three of the fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, show in my pattern. It really dosen't matter what planet it is, I like pretty much all of them in Fire signs... Fire Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, (the list goes on). I also like Water Moon, Venus, or Jupiter (Especially Cancer or Scorpio because of my 8th house, as I said before). I like a bit of an Air influence as well (because of my Gemini Dsc), with maybe the Asc, Venus, or Jupiter, in Air signs. The Moon in Air is too 'cool' for me in love, but I like it for friendships. Overall, I like a natal chart that has Fire dominating (Sun in Aries or Sag especially), with mixtures of Air and Water added in. The element I crave least is Earth, but then again my 5th, 7th, and 8th houses have no Earth symbolism. I can like them when the synastry is good, sure, but that feeling of 'need' is not there. The possible exception to this is planets that conjunct my Vertex at around 15 Taurus (And the orb here is pretty specific). ALSO... We can check something called the SECONDARY DSC. It goes like this... My Dsc is Gemini. Gemini rules the 3rd house. Symbolically, the 3rd house can tell me more about my partnership tastes. My 3rd house falls into Aquarius, ruled by Uranus in Scorpio. It's True! I do have something of a weakness for Scorpio/Aquarius combos, added to what I've already mentioned. I think this enhances my love of Scorpio Moons, and when I said I like the Asc, Venus, or Jupiter, in Air signs earlier, I was actually thinking of Aquarius, more then Gemini for some reason. Although, Gemini placements can attract too. Gemini Asc I think is pretty magnetic for me, along with Aquarius. One of my early celeb crushes was on Ethan Hawke. A Scorpio with Moon in Aquarius (Even though I said I 'prefer' not to fall for Air Moons, it can still happen if that person fits into my pattern). His Scorpio Sun sits on my Antivertex conjunct my Uranus, and nataly he has Sun conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio (giving him a Sag vibe, which I also like). FOR ANYONE STILL CONFUSED ABOUT LOCATING THE ‘SECONDARY DSC’… Here’s a list of the house cusps to look to as an extension of your DSC for each rising sign. These house cusps are symbolically linked to the sign on your DSC… Showing what other traits you are attracted to in others, apart from just what the DSC alone shows. Aries rising, Libra DSC… The 7th House has double importance.
Taurus rising, Scorpio DSC… Look to the 8th House. Gemini rising, Sagittarius DSC… Look to the 9th House Cancer rising, Capricorn DSC… Look to the 10th House Leo rising, Aquarius DSC… Look to the 11th House Virgo rising, Pisces DSC… Look to the 12th House Libra rising, Aries DSC… Look to the 1st House Scorpio rising, Taurus DSC… Look to the 2nd House Sagittarius rising, Gemini DSC… Look to the 3rd House Capricorn rising, Cancer DSC… Look to the 4th House Aquarius rising, Leo DSC… Look to the 5th House Pisces rising, Virgo DSC… Look to the 6th House Our secondary 7th house can be very revealing. Another thing I find very telling in attaction synastry is the Vertex Axis. Planets conjunct or oppose the Vertex are very magnetizing in synastry.

Hey, you're welcome! Whenever people say they're not attracted to their pattern, I feel like putting on my 'private investigator hat' and looking deep into their chart to find answers. The Vertex Axis and the Secondary Dsc often show people's taste, when other indicators fail. It's awesome to know I finally found a 'hit' with you, Kerosene. IP: Logged |

Okay, since Aries and Cancer don't really fit the pattern (and ironically, these two signs made a big impact on me), I guess I'll try that method out:5th house Libra, Libra Venus in the 4th (4th house=Cancerian influence) 7th house Sagittarius, Virgo Jupiter in the 3rd (Wonderin' about this though because I have never been attracted to a Virgo, not even in friendships haha.) 8th house Capricorn, Aquarius Saturn in the 8th (I have been attracted to Aquas, yes. But not as strong as the previous signs I mentioned before-- Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, Scorpio). Secondary dsc= 9th house, ruled by Aquarius. Ruler Uranus in the 7th (Okay, so I get the Cancerian pattern now. I have my Pisces moon in the 9th) The Aries guy had the biggest influence on me, but I don't see an Aries-related pattern here haha. My 5th house has mars in it but other than that it's the odd one out haha. IP: Logged |

I want to add something I seem to notice more and more.If the signs on the cusps of the 5th, 7th and 8th house are universal/ transpersonal signs (Scorpio, Sag, Cap, Aqua, Pisces), then it becomes even MORE important to carefully analyse the configurations of these houses (as Lotis stated, cause really such a depth is not optional, but NECESSARY to come to a somewhat valid conclusion) in comparision to the personal planets. If your 5th house configurations are in stark contrast to your Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars, you have to look very closely. I have personal signs on the cusp of the relationship houses (Taurus, Gemini, Cancer), but my own inner planets are all falling into universal or transpersonal signs (Sag, Cap, Aqua, and chartruler in Pisces). I am very seldom drawn to anyone (there are exceptions of course) who puts planets into my 5th, 7th or to a lesser degree 8th house. I don´t have any planets in my 5th or 7th house, I don´t have these signs (Taurus and Gemini) as part of my personal make up (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, chartruler) - somehow they just don`t have that much to do with me. I relate more to the rulers of these cusps, because they are resonating with my personal planets.
In the case of the 8th house, well, it is in Cancer, and it has a planet in there, Saturn. So I very well could be drawn to Cancers which put something onto my Saturn and Vertex (also in 8th house); while that occasionally happens, I still don´t like Cancers all that much, and it never is indicative of a very deep attraction, so far at least). But I have SATURN in 8th house, I have Venus in CAPTRICORN, I have the ruler of 5th house in CAPTRICORN. The ruler of the 8th house is traditionally ruled by SATURN (Aquarius), and exactly inconjunct SATURN. It seems the Saturnian symbolism definitely overpowers the lunar one of my 8th house. Also, as I stated above, ALL the rulers of my relationship houses are in universal/ transpersonal signs, falling into the 1st quadrant of my chart, even 1st house, indicative of my own identity. So it is easy to see how I relate most to people who are my mirror or similiar to me in certain ways, and that means an emphasis on the universal/transpersonal signs as well. I assume you can put a dozen planets into my 5th or 7th house - I will not react all that strongly to that, unless they simultaneously aspect personal planets in my chart. But that is MY personal make up of my chart; everyone`s chart is different. IP: Logged |

Planets in houses are extremely significant. Saturn is like Capricorn concentrate, Mars is like Aries concentrate, Jupiter is like Sagittarius concentrate, and so on. Okay, it can get a little iffy with Mercury and Venus, because each rules two signs. In these cases we could be attracted to either of the signs ruled by these planets. IP: Logged |

also if you check the synastric links, don`t forget that planets IN the relationship houses (in your natal) are part of your relationship-pattern as well.So for me, Saturn in 8th house, is part of my relating pattern, and whenever it is aspected in synastry, it has significance for relating for me, even though Saturn does not RULE a relationship house. As a matter of fact through Saturn deeply committed intimate relationships (8th house) are inseparably connected to the area of selfworth (Saturn rules 2nd house) for me. Both houses set the stage of how or where a planet operates: the house the planet rules as well as the one it falls in. IP: Logged |

I also agree with Ceri about taking the context of the chart into consideration. I can clearly identify with likeing both the cusp signs and the rulers in my chart, because that's how my chart operates. My Aries 5th house can contain planets that trine my Sagittarius stellium in synastry. But if I had a stellium in Scorpio instead, with only quincunx aspects possible to Aries, I'd probably not go so much for Aries but for Leo where Mars is. Heck, there'd be a square between Scorpio and Leo, but a square at least has a direct energy to it (quincunxes are rather awkward and indirect). My 7th house does contain my Jupiter at zero Cancer, and although I CAN be attracted to Gemini energy (My Dsc sign), I much prefer Sagittarius where my stellium is. Mercury, which rules my Dsc, is also in Sagittarius enhancing this pattern. With my Cancer 8th house, my Moon is in Cancer is the 8th house. It's interesting that I prefer water Moons to water Suns in attraction. It's not that I can't be drawn to a water Sun, so much as I just like it better when it's Cancer or Scorpio Moon, rather then Sun. My secondary Dsc (Gemini Dsc = 3rd house) is Aquarius ruled by Uranus in Scorpio. Planets in Aquarius can sextile my Sagittarius stellium, trine my Pluto, and oppose my 5th house ruler Mars in Leo. I often love Aqua planets in others. My Scorpio Uranus is opposite my Vertex at 15 Taurus... Planets in the middle of Scorpio and Taurus catch my attention for sure. Every chart is set up uniquely. So for each chart how the attraction pattern manifests will be different. Otherwise every person with the same Asc sign would automatically be attracted to the same few signs over and over. This just doesn't happen. Ceri also pointed out that aspects in synastry are important. Again I concur. If someone puts planets in your 5th, 7th, and 8th houses but these planets don't aspect your chart, you might not even notice that person. Despite the fact that they have planets in your 'love' houses. The reverse is true as well. If someone puts planets in your 'love' houses, and strongly aspects your planets with them, they can really turn your head... For instance, if you have Aries on the 5th house cusp (like me) and the only fire planet you have is Venus at 28 Sagittarius, and almost everything else is in Scorpio... A planet in synastry sitting at 18 Aries in your 5th house, not aspecting anything will bearly attract your attention. However, if this planet were at 28 Aries trine that Sagittarius Venus, the result can be magic! If the person doesn't aspect your planets to start with, the house stuff is almost irrelevant. And also, house ruler synastry is amazing! If a person tightly aspects your 7th, 5th, and 8th house rulers, they can give you the 'feelings' associated with these houses, even if they have nothing actually in your 5th, 7th, or 8th houses. The planet they aspect your ruler with, will be the part of them that catches your attention. IP: Logged |

Lotis,I take yours and my chart as comparision, cause even though we share the same ASC we do react a bit differently in terms of houserulerships, but still consistently. Just for the record: My Sun, Mercury, Mars and ASC are in Sag My Moon in Aquarius My Venus in Capricorn my charturler in Pisces "My Aries 5th house can contain planets that trine my Sagittarius stellium in synastry. But if I had a stellium in Scorpio instead, with only quincunx aspects possible to Aries, I'd probably not go so much for Aries"
This happens in terms of my 5th house. My 5th house is from 1-21 Taurus, hence any planet therein would be quinkunx my Sag-stellium or square my Moon. The exception would be around 6 Taurus, which would trine my Venus. As a matter of fact my first real vehement crush had his Venus on 4 Taurus in my 5th house, trine my Venus and opposing my Uranus. I was crazy for him. I now and then meet men with Mars around 15 degree Taurus, squaring my Moon. But that is not a good idea. Also these Taurus-crushes are very superficial and fleeting for me, if they happen at all. And I can really count the tims it happened, not more than 2 or 3 times. And I already counted celebrities in this list. "Heck, there'd be a square between Scorpio and Leo, but a square at least has a direct energy to it (quincunxes are rather awkward and indirect)." Yes, as long as it lasted, the crush between Taurus Mars on 15 degree and my Moon on 17 Aquarius was pretty hot, but that was about it. Short and compulsive, fleeting. But I like squares between masculine and feminine planets. They are sexy. "My 7th house does contain my Jupiter at zero Cancer, and although I CAN be attracted to Gemini energy (My Dsc sign), I much prefer Sagittarius where my stellium is. Mercury, which rules my Dsc, is also in Sagittarius enhancing this pattern." I have a similiar make up, as I also have Gemini on DESC, but don`t like Geminis that much. I always always fall for Sags though. ruler of my DESC is in Sag conjunct Sun in 1st house. But I wouldn´t say it enhanced my attraction to DESC, but rather determines it. I do think for me at least the fact that the DESC-ruler is leading right back to my Sun and ASC-sign is why I am attracted to people who are exhibiting this Sag-vibe. Another thing coming into play might be that my Sun-Mercury-conjunction is rather isolated, and has no strong and tight aspects to other planets. They are a duet. So if someone is very SAg-like in nature, or even better, puts some planets onto my Sun-Mercury-conjunction, will very suddenly lighten up this area for me, and maybe even allow a more direct access to that energy, that I may exhibit but not always being very aware of it, that this is me. For Lotis the Jupiter in 7th house also points more towards a Sag-affinity than a strictly Gemini one. Interestingly, even though the ruler of my DESC, is conjunct Sun, I am not going for Leos at all. Well, I like them, but that`s about all. However, people who attract me on a deeper personal level, will exhibit solar characteristics, creative, generous, protective, warmhearted, confident. And they always seem to have Sun in strong aspect to either ASC or MC. Or at least in an angular house. However, why am I not going for Leos themselves? After all Leo makes up a big part of my 8th house, as 9th house starts at 26 Leo. Well, truth be told, there is a definite attraction for Leo-Moons, but for some reason it is not reaching that deep. There is just a certain intrigue. But Leo would trine my Sag-stellium as well as oppose my Moon (not a bad aspect at all), however since Venus is such a dominant factor in my attraction pattern, or actually the fact that Venus is in Cap, and my attraction pattern is very Saturnian in terms of sexual attraction, and Leo is inconjnct Cap, plus LEo is a social sign, not one of my preferred universal signs, might be an explanation. "With my Cancer 8th house, my Moon is in Cancer is the 8th house"
We both have Cancer 8th house, but while your Moon is in 8th house, for me it is Saturn - so we are on complimentary ends of the spectre. You prefer water/ Cancer, I prefer earth/Capricorn, or rather Saturn. Just like the planet in the house (I start thinking the planet falling into the house is stronger than the sign on the cusp, let`s keep that on the observation - list). I don´t go for Cappy Moons though, doesn`t fit. I need a fire Moon, best ARies or Sag, occasionally Libra/sCorpio. However usually Sun or Moon will have strong Saturn-aspects, or Venus or Mars have. Oh and Venus in Cappy, this one really draws me in, while the Moon in Cappy doesn`t do anything to me. I suppose the luminaries and Venus/Mars play on different levels. "My secondary Dsc (Gemini Dsc = 3rd house) is Aquarius ruled by Uranus in Scorpio." Same here. I am not going so much for Aquarius-planets; well that is not entirely right. I love them to bits in friendships and feel a strong resonance (maybe because my Moon is in Aqua, too), but I don`t fall in love with them (though oftentimes male Aqua-Suns express a strong interest in me). However, I love Moons that conjunct my Uranus, though I probably drive THEM crazy (their Moon would be end of Libra or beginning of Scorpio, and having my Uranus conjunct might be a tiny bit too erratic for especially the Scorpio ones). Aquarius-planets sextile my Sag stellium, conjunct my Moon possibly, but my Venus cannot do anything with them. Having said that though, my Venus in Cappy cannot do anything with Sag energy either, and yet I am strongly drawn to Sag, but maybe in my case the prmary DESC-configuration is simply stronger, and that sais Sagittarius big time. . . "If someone puts planets in your 5th, 7th, and 8th houses but these planets don't aspect your chart, you might not even notice that person. " Yes. "And also, house ruler synastry is amazing! If a person tightly aspects your 7th, 5th, and 8th house rulers, they can give you the 'feelings' associated with these houses, even if they have nothing actually in your 5th, 7th, or 8th houses. The planet they aspect your ruler with, will be the part of them that catches your attention." I have seen that to be very true for myself and also pretty much everyone else`s chart I interpreted to some depth.
In my case, the equation is so easy it is not even funny anymore. No aspects to my Venus (5th house ruler) = no attraction. To a bit lesser degree that seems to be true for my Saturn as well. Interestingly Saturn disposits my Venus. Is anyone else magically drawn - against all odds and better knowledge- to the planet that disposits their Venus or 5th house ruler? Or is it just me? (I am meaning that it has to be aspected in synastry for you)

Hi Ceri,Awesome comparison . I particularly liked how mention that we both have Cancer 8th houses but that because of the planets in our 8th, our taste manifests in pretty much opposite directions. I like watery Moons due to my 8th house Moon, whereas you are pulled more towards Saturn/Capricorn types because of Saturn in your 8th house. quote: Originally posted by Ceridwen: "My secondary Dsc (Gemini Dsc = 3rd house) is Aquarius ruled by Uranus in Scorpio." Yes. I also remember from looking at your natal chart that a good amount of Pisces falls into your secondary 7th house (the 3rd house), and that Jupiter is located in the 3rd has well... I think this may enhance your love for Sag energy, and perhaps a Pisces flavor as well (like Pisces Asc falling into your 3rd house, maybe). In my case, the secondary 7th house ends at like 3 degrees Pisces, so the pull towards Aqua is much stronger for me, then it probably is for you. My 3rd house is almost entirely taken up by Aquarius. My thoughts are, that this is another way that we have slightly differing taste, even though we have the same Asc sign. But since we both have the primary Dsc ruler in Sagittarius, we both love, love that energy from others. IP: Logged |

My single sexiest placement for a guy is Mars in Scorpio. This is known for being sexy by most people but I think the fact that it trines my cancer Mars makes it more so, for me. Cancer Mars can't really get himself assertive so Mars in Scorpio has the natural drive that Cancer Mars lacks.
I like Cancer ASC on a guy because it makes him seem sweet and tender. I have a Cancer Moon, too. I don't like Scorpio Venus because it is too intense for my Gemini Venus. I don't really like Scorpio Moon for the same reason but in a friend, it would be good because it is loyal. I hate disloyal people more and more as I go through life. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I usually attract scorpio suns with venus in libra. My 5th house is in scorpio and my mars is in libra.
And in synastry their is always a mars in the 8th house.
And they usually have gemini in their 5th house too.
7th house in Capricorn - not attracted to them 8th house in Aquarius - not attracted to them
