I usually wind up attracting Libras, and Sagittarius without making any effort on my part.

Had a lengthy relationship with a Libra, and have had several awesome Scorpion friends...IRL & online.

Makes sense.
The 7th house is usually not so much about "animal magnetism", but genuine liking and having the feeling that we can actually partner with that person. But if the attraction is soley 7th house based, it actually might end up being rather platonic.

Of course that is just a vry generalized view, it depends on the overall chart. And let´s not forget sometimes we do not like these qualities at all. It is also the house of "open enemies".
Basically it encompasses everything that we encounter and that leaves an impression on us, good or bad.
As I said it depends a little on our natal chart, how we react to it.

For me the sign of my 7th house often falls into the "shadow-category", while the ruler of my 7th house is more "partner potential".
But this can be different for other people.

Yes, I just noticed that. ANd was fascinated with how much it related to our preferences.

Yes, but interestingly not to Capricornian Moons, though I very often am drawn to gentlemen who have Sun or Moon in challengng aspect to Saturn. Somehow there seems to be a subtle difference.

And I have Sun in Sag and Moon in aquarius. Probably that figures in. As you do like water Moons and I like fire Moons (and sometimes air moons,b ut more for friendship).

Yes, Pisces is actually intercepted in 3rd house, contains my chartruler Jupiter, and yes I can feel it strongly. Nothing hidden about that one.

Yes, I have a definite preference for Pisces ASC in men. (my Draconic ASC is in Pisces, too).
But interestingly not so much for other placements in Pisces for strong attraction; though having said that in the cases when Sun, Mercury, Venus or Mars was in Pisces (can`t do anything with Pisces Mooners), there is a resonance, but on a friendshiplevel, which would makes sense given it is the secondary 7th house.

Also I did not mention it but I have had a phase in my life when I would fall for EVERY Aries crossing my way, Moth to flame, and I burned.
As a matter of fact usually Pisces ASC in my region of the world will have Aries intercepted in 1st house.
But the attraction to Aries is both, deeply sexual and magnetic as well as feeling very very deep, scarily so actually.

Aries is in my 4th house, and since Cancer is in my 8th house, of course the 4th house is my secondary 8th house, and the ruler, Mars, leading back into SAgittarius in 12th house conjunct Neptune and widely square Jupiter. ROFL
Can`t escape!

My secondary 5th house is the 2nd house with Capricorn at its cusp, ruler in Cancer, and containing Moon (but in Aquarius).
Despite Moon being mentioned twice here, Cancer is still not my favourite.

I like Aquarius as long as their Sun is very early in the sign, so it trines my Ascendant. Mid-sign is a bad match, though - there's nothing in my chart that could support their energy as I'm mostly Earth/Water. Late sign planets fall on my NN but oppose my Sun, which I don't like in the long run.
Pisces. Especially the Moons.

7th house: Aries. Ruler Mars in the 11th.
Yes, I love it! Pretty straightforward synastry here. These people feel like a friend with common interests as well as someone I'd could see myself with. Vertex is also in this house.
Dsc ruler conjunct Mercury, so Gemini again.

8th house: Taurus. Venus in Virgo, 12th house & is also chart ruler. Yup, anything dumped into my 8th makes me very attracted. I like the laidback attitude and stability. They complete a Grand Trine for me.

Capricorn is another favourite with my Saturn being conjunct the rulers of both my 5th house signs. Their Sun is often on my Moon and if it's not, their Mercury or Venus is. Also Scorpios - my 7th, 8th (+1st) and 11th house ruler all aspect Pluto.

Even with my Sun in Capricorn, and Moon in Cancer, I still love Fire Moons (I love Fire everything!). For love, my preference would be a Fire or Water Moon, probably because of my inner emotional core (Cancer Moon in the 8th house is so flippin emotional, my Cap side has to work hard to control it).

I like Air Moons in buddies because I find them really interesting, and they always seem to know juicy tid bits of info I may have missed. Earth Moons call to me the least in general... Unless they aspect my chart in certain specific ways, like a trine to the Sun, a sextile to the Moon, or a square to Mercury which is my 7th house ruler (from Virgo).

Actually, I've noticed that people with Virgo or Pisces planet squares to my Mercury catch my attention. They make me curious. It might not be a harmonious vibration, but I enjoy the intellectual stimulation of it, and also the certain degree of affection/liking that comes with it too.

Oooh Yeah! (rubs hands together) I love going into secondary house cusps. Thanks for Bringing this up.

With the secondary 7th, I also have Eros in Aquarius in the 3rd house, and I do find Uranus energy thrilling. So added to the fact that a lot of Aqua fills up my secondary 7th house, there's the Eros factor too. I've found the asteroids Eros, Psyche, and Juno, to be especially telling about extra little details to do with taste.

I've always thought of Eros as a tiny little dart with a similar flavor to the 5th house. It has this whole euphoria/excitement thing going on. Psyche has more of an 8th house flavor, she has to do with private encounters, intuition, and our journey to reach loving union.

Psyche seems to show how we 'jump through hoops' for a loved one, and how we use our resourcefulness to solve problems in relationships (She has good intentions but she can be a little sneaky. Like in the myth, she uses a candle to view Eros's face even though she wasn't supposed to).

Juno has a 7th house type flavor. Juno give extra details about what we 'require' from a partner in order for them to be a suitable mate, and about what traits inspire our liking, approval, commitment, and loyalty. Juno also seems to have some type of association with what we view as beautiful/ attractive. I've read before that Juno has to do with adornment, accessories, and decoration. Juno is sort of like a mini-Venus that's more interesting in commitment then seeking pleasure.

Back to the secondary houses...

Aries on the 5th. My secondary 5th is the 1st house... My Asc is Sag. I've got so many indicators pointing to Sag energy it's almost not worth mentioning. Like you, Ceri, it seems I can't escape either!

I have a Virgo Sun, Virgo IC, and my Leo moon is in the Virgo Duad though.

Someone with hard aspects to Neptune/Uranus/and or Pluto also catch my attention.

Scorpio on 5th House cusp (Mars,Pluto,Jupiter in this house)
Capricorn on 7th House cusp (Uranus, and Neptune)
Aquarius on 8th House cusp

I get turned on by Aqua men for obvious reasons: Uranus rules my 7th and 8th houses, and I also have Sun conjunct Uranus. Aquas turn me on hot and get on my nerves at the same time!

As for Scorpios, I have Virgo Sun sextile Mars in Scorpio (0 orb) and I get along great with the Scorpio energy (much better than the Aqua energy).

I like fixed, stubborn men, probably because my Sun is mutable and I am ready for compromise (Moon&Venus conjunction in Libra) and flexible and like my man to lead...

I also like my man to be intellectual and somewhat secretive and both these signs have those qualities, although in a different way.

I am with an Aqua now. If it was easier to just go and choose, I think I would be happier with a Scorpio, because the Sun energies are more compatible.

I'm usually attracted to guys who have lots of Fire in their chart, preferably both Sun & Mars are in Fire, and the rest of personal planets are in Air & Water. Cancer is an exception, though, maybe because my chart totally lacks it. They tend to like me, no idea why.

For someone with a lot of Water, it's a bit strange but prominent Earth does nothing for me in that regard. If I try to imagine a guy who probably has no chance whatsoever to pick me up in a bar (lol not that I do that a lot, but anyway), his chart could look like this:

7th house Capricorn - I have never dated a capricorn sun yet, but most of the guys I've dated had capricorn dominant in their chart, so kinda the same
I like them, because they are loyal and serious and looks trustworthy

8th Aquarius - they are like poison to me! They are like that piece of candy that looks so good but is filled with freakin poison! Never again! NO!

Besides these signs, I mostly like scorpios and pisces. I really love scorpios, they are the perfect match for me I think…then comes pisces, just because…its PISCES!
