Wouldn't the asc be the most difficult angle for venus when it comes to love and relationships?
Aries rules first house and the asc.
Venus is in fall in Aries and it's opposing the dsc too.My friend who has Venus on her dsc seems to be more satisfied with her relationships. Apparently her relationships are perfect... IP: Logged |

Venus conjunct the dsc is much MUCH better for helping others. They are so good with people. Venus on the asc makes one too self absorbed. Planets on the asc have this effect. Too much focus on the self and I have them too, so I know. Just being honest. IP: Logged |

Venus is in detriment in Aries, not in fall (that’s in Virgo). It also depends if Venus is in the 1st or the 12th when it conjuncts the ascendant. Having planets in the 1st doesn’t mean one is self-absorbed. Depends on what’s in the 1st and what aspects they make. Depends on what sign Venus is in, too. If Venus is well aspected in the 1st, that can mean the person has a lot of love to give. Someone with Venus conjunct the descendant or in the 7th may mean the person can find love through relationships rather than on their own. IP: Logged |

My bad, I meant detriment but same concept anyways. Although I would much rather have venus in aries or scorpio than virgo, no offense to anyone. I have venus conjunct asc and I can be pretty self absorbed about my life. Aquaguy has venus conjunct asc too and we have threads dedicated to his love life lmao. IP: Logged |

Ascendant is about the self.Focusing on the other isn't making threads about your love life or lack thereof. It's about going up to a person, saying, "hi, what can I do for you?" Well, detriment and fall are not the same. Detriment is said to be diluted energy, whereas a planet in fall is said to have polluted energy. I’ve come across those with planets in fall who get defensive about their placements, but not from those with planets in detriment. Not to pick on aquaguy, but from discussions he and I have had, he‘s told he he’s felt his lack of relationship success is due to the aspects his Venus has, not the fact that his Venus conjuncts the ascendant. I don't have Venus in Libra. My favorite place for Venus is seventh house though. This house can make any Venus bearable. My Venus is at 5 degrees Leo. IP: Logged |

Yes,you are right. My venus squares moon,mars,and pluto. It quincunxes chiron exactly and semisquares uranus exactly. Although I do think the fact that it conjuncts the ascendant possibly makes things worse. IP: Logged |

I know the difference lol.A planet on an angle especially the asc makes it a point of focus, so these natives breathe venus.
This means however venus is aspected should effect the native 2x's more.
You know people who are extremely thirsty for a boyfriend or a girlfriend?
He may project that vibe. Venus is more noticeable on the asc and mc over the ic & dsc. However Venus does well in the 10th house/Mc because all planets, even night planets like moon in venus does well there. The sun and mars does well on the asc/first house, and those planets can be difficult on the dsc. IP: Logged |
