What planet or house placement in signs would indicate how affectionate you are?
My venus and mars are in scorpio and I will either be uncomfortable giving you affection and do it loosely or will suffocate you with my embrace.. IP: Logged |

Good question.I am physically probably the clingiest person I know I'm SUPER affectionate to the point where it can be literally suffocating when on the day of a heat wave I STILL want to cuddle hahaha. I have no idea why that is, Aquas are supposed to be aloof but I'm not at all. Maybe it's my Piscean moon? Leo rising? No clue, but I'm the touchy-feely sort, and even verbally I'm very affectionate as well, I just love telling my loved ones that I love them. IP: Logged |

I need someone that forces affection because I always feel as if I'm stifling the other person.I have Moon in Capricorn and I relate it to this. I feel like my emotional response toward my significant other is not warranted and so I pull away. Although, if they force the connection then I'll relax into the affectionate expression. I think it's because Saturn is someone that pushes his emotions to the side and the Moon is someone that boxes herself in if she is denied emotional expression. It's like I'm getting ready for denial by assuming they don't need or desire affection and even if they did, I wouldn't give the right amount anyway. Haha proper messed up! My chart ruler Mars is in Aquarius as well, it could speak to some emotional distance. Venus is in Gemini, that could speak to keeping things light and fun. But I actually crave the emotional depth and intensity others have and I want to express that side of myself too. It's just that I'm all wrapped up with "Am I doing this right?"  IP: Logged |

I'm pretty affectionate with friends, but pretty icy with lovers. I prefer affection between me and my partner to be private, in which case I can be pretty touchy. It depends on the person though too! If the other person likes they're space, I can do space. Just sitting together on the sofa would be nice enough.Aquarius Moon, Leo Mars.  IP: Logged |

That will depend on how much I like you and how comfortable I am with giving you any display of affection.In this sense I think my Scorpio Mars is pretty dominant, since it can't range from no affection at all to too much physical contact, some overtly sexual in nature(8th house having too much fun). That's right! I'm the one wearing the pants in this friendship, don't forget it! Your Moon is trine my Mercury in Gemini at 4°44'. I think Brontex has his Moon pretty close to my Mars. I can't remember exactly. If your Mars is before 20 degrees Leo then it's making a nice hard square to my Sun. *nods* Dangerlicious. <--- it's a word, look it up! Anyways, thread derail blehk. Someone who's not comfortable with hugs, kissing and holding hands is a turn off. The funny thing is that in social situations I come across as distant and not very tactile.
I'm sure if people who know me saw me in "romantic mode" they'd be very surprised. I attribute my love for affection to my Venus in Libra exactly conjunct Jupiter (Venus qualities are expanded), both sextile Moon (basic need).

I have Venus in Virgo (and other issues) so the person has to look clean otherwise I feel very uncomfortable touching and being touched by them. Once we get passed that I can be the most affectionate person with my Mars in Leo and Sagittarius Rising! I also don't usually initiate because I'm scared of being rejected. I have Moon in Aquarius so I easily feel suffocated by other affectionate people and push them away.

MsPrism,You have Venus opposite Uranus if I remember correctly, you guys aren't big on affection from what I've noticed.
Venus / Uranus people are usually quite awkward when it comes to physical expressions of love, and aren't too fond of overly affectionate partners.

I have Venus in Pisces conjunct the ascendant (from the 12th house side, also conjunct Jupiter in Pisces in the 1st) and I love to be affectionate and receive affection from others. My girlfriend in high school told me she loved my hugs. I just love soft, warm cuddling, and spending a night at home cozying up together watching a movie is ideal. My Venus sextiles my Mars in Cap exactly. That could add to what others in my life have termed my "warmth." People offering up very light hugs with delicate little pats on the back just aren't enough for me. Suffocating hugs aren't appreciated either. Juts a nice, warm embrace (and maybe a little kiss on the cheek) works best for me. IP: Logged |

I like to keep things relatively light, otherwise I quickly start to feel smothered. If someone pushes the affection thing too hard, I get pretty frosty pretty fast. I can tolerate some physical affection before I feel stifled, but verbal affections make me feel DEEPLY uncomfortable, and I just can't reciprocate without wanting to take a pistol to the head. Even if I do have strong feelings for them. Ironically, the more distant they are toward me, the more I actually want to be affectionate (although I think that compared to most people this still isn't probably that affectionate). Damn that Aquarius Mars, haha... ------------------

I'm VERY affectionate  Cancer rising, scorpio sun, aries moon, libra venus, and lots of saggittarius..I feel like everyone around me is always hungry for hugs and affection. I can never get enough hugs and kisses from my boyfriends. But I know they like it. Who doesn't ? i'm very affectionate, i've always been a very cuddly person but i definitely went through a phase in high school and whatnot where i didn't like to hug at all and all my friends thought i was incredibly cold - basically buying into the aquarius stereotypes when really it was just teenage angst mixed with depression. Now many years and psychedelic drugs later, I'm happy and back to being as affectionate as i was when i was a kid - I physically need at the very least a hug shortly after i wake up, it just starts my day right lol
i try to be sensitive to those people who aren't as affectionate as me, but at the same time my heart is so full of unconditional love for the universe that lately i've been asking them for a hug regardless - i can usually just see through their wall. Meaning that usually with these people there's just a self-created wall of protection from hugs and they do in fact like affection, they just haven't had a lot of it so pretend that they dislike it. I've been there so I think I get it more than most people. From life experience I seem to be very good and breaking through people that others find cold and whatnot and warming my way into their heart lol
everybody needs more love in their life and it's my mission in life to make as many people feel as loved as i can.
