Are they 10 degrees away from the ASC? I should get a tattoo that says this

I checked astro.com, Ami, President Bush's is really in 12, nowhere near his Leo ascendant. He has a Cancer sun. His Saturn in Cancer isn't close enough to conjunct.

He does have three planets in house 1, Mercury, Venus and Pluto. Mercury and Pluto are both conjunct the ascendant three degrees orb.

Oh and he has a Libra moon

My very simple point is: one shouldn't just assume that something is necessarily bad just because it is not well understood.

Just like the generalizations out there about the 12th house being secretive or dark or sinister. That is nonsense.

Some parts of the twelfth house are dark and sinister. You see a bittersweet quality and often there is tragedy..

I don't agree because the Houses are what they are.

They are domains and when planets enter the domains, they will carry the traits.

There are traits which exist on a spectrum for each house.

For the 12th there is secretive and hidden and then on the other end, super spiritual.

However, you can't really dismiss parts of the houses imo

I am trying to figure out which planet would be the hardest, getting back on topic. Saturn seems to be challenging. The sun, too, and Neptune from what I have researched, can be quite a disaster in 12 even though it rules the house traditionally. Neptune is a difficult planet, in general so in the 12th it's no exception to this rule.
Uranus, too? Mars maybe. In some cases the sun or moon. It's easier to figure out which ones are not so much a problem. Maybe all of them have that darker side it just shows up in different ways.
Like with Neptune in 12, people can be tangled up in crimes, some are guilty, others claim to be innocent, it can result in not getting a fair trial and someone can waste years in prison, literally waste away there without ever having a fair trial.
I have had issues in my life with all my twelfth house placesments but have never been accused of crimes and imprisoned, never committed a crime. In fact I do not experience many of the twelfth house's infamous pitfalls. I did grow up fatherless, classic sun in twelfth.

Neptune for a Pisces sun, with a Scorp asc, thus Neptune in Scorpio...

Yea, hard...and especially with a wide oppo to my Taurus moon.

Having the sun in the 12th house usually means unavailable dad whether emotionally or physically. I have read descriptions from astrologers. Check out sun in the 12th posts that have been created. Its true. Very sad. As a 12th house sun i know. You have saturn in your 12th house so its not the same situation. You can speak for 12th house saturns if you want but dont speak for us 12th house suns.

And the Vedic interpretations are drastically different. So much so that nothing is reconciled and folks yap generalizations that not only do not make sense but have no semblance to reality.

Anyone like to say that George W Bush's father, George HW Bush was non-existent in the younger Bush's life? Quite the reverse. See, another instance of shoot from the hip observation.

Actually that's not true. Bush himself said his dad was away a lot when he was a boy in his autobiography. He mentioned that his dad was away for work a lot and it was just him and his mom on the home front.

i have a kind of similar chart. but i have scorpio pluto opp moon. my chart ruler, pluto, is in my 12th conjunct asc. it is what it is. i think i'd be worried if i had a child with it but at this point i'm over that 12th house stuff and have gone to spiritual end of it.

My niece has it and I don't think my sister (her mother) is a very good mother to her most times. my sister drinks a lot and my niece hates it, she has a lot of anger towards her.

I have sun conjunct chiron in 12. I constantly want to get away, to leave wherever I am. I think I have had depression my whole life. And I don't fear death, in fact I wouldn't mind passing on some days. Just being alive and dealing with life can be a huge challenge for me.. Very passive absent father. A lot of my close friends have 12th house suns... I think we naturally gravitate to each other because we understand that feeling of wantin to isolate. Thoughts...?

I know a person with sun, mercury, saturn, uranus, and neptune in his 12th, far from the ascendant. He's a mess, pretty twisted person. No backbone. Half-truths.
