Okay you have three men and three women of each mode.

How would you pair them up?

I say the cardinal man and the fixed woman get together.

The mutable man and the fixed man pair up.

And the cardinal woman goes with the mutable woman!

I agree with that; Alice Cooper and his wife have been married for 37 years. He is an Aquarius and she is a Taurus.

In Canada, we have Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace married to singer Chantal Kreviazuk, same combo, they renewed their vows a few years ago (10th anniversary), and I don't doubt they will never divorce.

I have dated nothing but Scorpio and Taurus men and I am a Scorpio and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am madly... NO... insanely in love with this Taurus man/Taurus moon and yes, I think we should marry each other. His Sun and moon might conjunct my Taurus Ascendant too. Who knows?

I am not sure about mutable signs. I feel mutable signs need to be reigned in, and a fixed sign can do just that to help them. What do you think? Mutables have erratic energy and the Cardinal will not help the mutable reign the erratic energy. But a fixed sign would.

I'm a mutable sign and I've only had bad experiences with fixed signs. They have a whole "it's my way or the highway" attitude. They're completely inflexible and make you feel like you have no say in anything. They come across like they'd sooner lose you than ever compromise or admit they're wrong about something. Fine... Goodbye![/B][/QUOTE]

Hmm-- I'm a fixed sign (LEO), and I've always found Virgos to be 'my way or the highway'.

Granted, Leo males have that tendency, as well-- moreso than Virgo; but Virgo is very set in his ways, and will not be deterred, in my experience.

Is Leo a fixed sign? And I assume I'm cardinal (whatever those mean)?

How well does an Aquarius get along with another Aquarius (my kid has that situation)? We all know how messed up Aquariuses are.. as we can see from Aquaguy91... j/k :P But we have two Aquariuses and both parties are pretty much socially inept. She's outstandingly pretty and smart though.

Even until now I've never really paid much attention to this.

I can say however, as a fixed sun sign (Leo), I have been with Cardinal the most. Those relationships were the longest, and of the better quality.

The 2 fixed where highly passionate on a surface level, but lacked depth and didn't last long.

The mutable were passionate on a deep level, but sometimes in a negative way. (Sag - 2 of them) was just insane. It's not right I know but it was SO insane I've told myself never ever again with a Sag.

My Merc/Venus/Mars are Mutable though.

Hah nope!
fixed signs are likely to be tops or bottoms.
That's so boring...

Give me a mutable that is most likely versatile!

Maybe I need a fixed/feminine sign.

Taurus
Coincidentally I find Taurus to be very attractive. Even when they are considered mediocre by others.

2 Mutables were Gemini and that actually wasn't bad. Maybe I was being harsh on Mutables because of Sag. Granted, the Gemini's were my first and second.... a long time ago. But then my moon is Gem. It's just a big spider web of confusion. LOL!
One of them I don't talk to simply because her husband forbids her. LOL Otherwise we'd still be at least great friends nearly 15 years later!

My best friend is Mutable (Virgo) and if we were homosexual, we'd marry each other tomorrow.

Honestly,

I think any sign can marry any other sign so long as the overall of the synastry is supportive.

Basing our selections on Sun signs alone, or the mode of the Sun, is kind of questionable.

Also people can come in some funny combinations... Like Gemini Sun/Scorpio Moon. Then what are we gonna use to make the distinction?

I say each person has their own taste, as shown in the chart, and the should go for what they like.

I agree! I am triple fixed (Leo/Taurus/Scorpio) and when I was single I learned I really only could consider other triple fixed guys or at least double.

Now I am in a serious relationship with a Taurus/Taurus/Scorpio

I think there is just more understanding about being stuck in your ways and need for trust and security with my combination.

Well, this just shows how the universe has a funny sense of humour and one should never open their big, fat mouth too soon, lest shoe gets inserted.

I am now considering doing just that.

Exactly!
People say that they hate this sign and that, but I always say. They'll really like someone and be shocked to find out it's a sign that they always claimed to dislike.

Congrats!

lol. Leaves me a little red-faced. But I thought, sure, why not try the fixed-fixed dating thing? I might grow from it. Then I found out he's double fixed - he has a Taurus moon too.

I'm a sag, both my husb
ands have b ee n cardina sign,s. Aries., then Cap. Aries lasted 2 years and cap lasted 24 yrs.
I like cardinal signs.
I adore other mutable signs but we're probably better as friends bc we don't function well under the constraints of daily life. At least this has been my experience with other saggies and pisces. Virgos are better with that. No experience with gems.
I'm always falling for scorpios bc they usually have some sag, and I have some scorp
But me with a taurus or aqua noooooo. maybe a leo.

As a triple fixed person (aqua sun, aqua ascendant, taurus moon) I don't think I could ever have a lasting relationship with someone else unless they have atleast one or two prominent fixed placements (sun, moon,or ascendants) and a compatible moon. This is especially true if we are talking about someone with a mutable sun. If someone has a gemini or sagittarius sun they'd need to have taurus or scorpio placements to get along with me. I hate to discriminate but mutable moons are a no go. I've had experiences with multiple mutable moons and it just doesn't work. Been there, done that, and not going back. lol

I agree about the mutable moons but it's a bit amplified for me because they even square my own moon.

I have four planets in fixed signs and a fixed rising sign so I definitely understand the need for stability and predictability in a partner.

Bill and Giuliana Rancic are another couple that both have fixed suns and moons, like Ashton and Mila Kunis.

Gem sun, Leo moon, Scorp Asc

My chart breaks down like so
5 mut
4 fix
1 car

Capricorns and Cancers rank highest in frequency and duration of relationships, followed by sun in the sign of one of my big 3. I need some of that get up and go a cardinal provides it seems. My mix of fixed and mutable can give both stability and direction to that energy in return. But there must be planets from the cardinal lady that "reach" me to connect.

I'm a fixed Asc/Moon (Leo/Taurus) mutable Sun (Pisces). My Dsc is Fixed (Aqua) with BOTH its rulers (Saturn/Uranus) in a mutable sign (Sag).

My experience has been that I need a balance of fixed/mutable energy.

I dated a cardinal Asc/Sun (Cancer) fixed Moon (Aqua) for 4 years... I stayed because I was afraid to leave, not because I was happy. Everything I liked, did, felt, and thought was wrong or dumb according to him. He tried to make me lose myself and for a while, it worked.

Later, I was with a fixed Sun (Leo), mutable Asc/Moon (Pisces/Sag) and I'd never been so happy. He understood who I was and loved me for it, instead of trying to change me. It was truly one of the best relationships I've ever experienced.

Now I'm engaged to a fixed Sun (Aqua), mutable Moon (Virgo), cardinal ASC (Cancer). I thank the stars for him every day. He too, gets me. Understands who I am and encourages me to be me.

I think the key for me really, is that fixed Sun/mutable Moon combo to complement my mutable Sun/fixed Moon. Even another mutable/fixed, maybe. Lol
