Secondary houses... I could kiss you Lotis lolI've been trying to come up with some reason why my fiance seemed so attracted to me so quickly, he seemed set on me before I had even made my mind up about him. His Sun, Merc, Venus, and Jupiter all fall in my 7H and all but his Jupiter are sextile my Venus. He hit me hard and fast, and it's fairly easy to see why. But I couldn't for the life of me figure out what made him fall head over heels for me, too.
My Sun, Merc, and Venus all fall in his 10H with Sun/Merc conjunct his MC. I know it's an angle and it makes you notice people but it just didn't seem like a romantic connection. Until I read about secondary houses
His DSC is Capricorn.
I just wonder how much people feel their secondary houses vs secondary house rulers?
Love it! This is a cool story.
As to whether someone is more attracted to the original or secondary 7th house, I honestly think it varies from person to person.
Each person is different, and the react to their own charts in unique ways. Different people seem to latch on to different parts of their attraction pattern. Some people are actually more attracted to their secondary 7th house symbolism then their original 7th house symbolism. Some people are the reverse, and are more attracted to their original 7th house symbolism, then their secondary 7th house symbolism. Some people are more attracted to the sign on the cusp of the 7th house (or secondary 7th house), while others are more attracted to the sign of the ruler of their 7th house (or secondary 7th house). Still others will be most attracted to the sign ruled by a planet in their 7th house (or secondary 7th house). Like having Pluto in the 7th and been drawn to Scorpios.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that different people will prioritize different parts of their attraction pattern for themselves within their own minds. And unfortunately, there's no way that I know of to tell which parts of their pattern a person has prioritized for themselves.
This is where an element of unpredictability comes into the astrology of attraction. I suspect that what people perceive as their taste has a lot to do with who the meet, and their experiences of early crushes and such. If a person has a Taurus Dsc ruled by Venus in Gemini, with Sagittarius on the 2nd house cusp (the secondary 7th house) ruled by Jupiter in Cancer... What will be their favorite? It could be Taurus, Gemini, Sagittarius, or Cancer! The only way to really tell what they respond to most strongly is to observe the person, and the choices that they make. Often, a person will go for someone who has a combo of these influences. From the example above, they might go for a Gemini with Sun in the 2nd house, Taurus rising, Mercury and Venus in Cancer, and Moon in Sagittarius.
