I think i'm retarded in love, partners expect me to be something i am not, or it feels like they force love and not let it happen naturally. I think venus in Aqua is the most misunderstood venus signs because we just want to go with the flow but people have way too many expectations. I understand that there are responsibilities in relationships like being loyal and honest, but freedom is very important.

What are your experiences with venus in Aqua? so i can understand myself abit better.

It's interesting reading your description of Venus in Aqua because I have it in Leo and I wonder how this relates to having it in the opposite sign. I don't feel as if my Venus is particularly great, either, not like a Libra Venus.

It's a blah Venus imo.

That they treat you more like a friend than a lover. I've also noticed Venus in Aqua (or like me, Venus in the 11H) or Venus conjunct Uranus tend to be hard to be exclusive with in relationships. When they ARE exclusive, they're absolute puppies and very loyal, idealistic. But getting them comfortable enough to let you see that side is somewhat trying.

I agree, if i like you, you will KNOW 100% and once i committ its for the long term, its just i follow my intuition and trying to force love isnt going to happen, it sounds selfish but it's true.

I just got out a 3 year relationship with one – he also has aqua sun and mercury. we were friends for quite a while before dating. He had all the space/freedom he needed and that wasn’t our problem – the problem was that he couldn’t SHOW and/or EXPRESS love. It’s ok to not want to give traditional trappings of love (like the poetry, flowers, chocolates, gifts etc.) but you cannot hold back to such an extent that you never tell your partner how you feel and/or never express it in ways your partner finds comfort in. I think aqua venus men (maybe women?) just don’t ‘get’ that most people need words of love, or gifts, or hugs and affection OFTEN, not just when the fancy strikes them. The realization has to be there that ok, I’m aqua venus and other people do not operate like me so I have to really work harder to show (most others) that I like and value them. It was like being with someone who NEVER showed vulnerability or emotion or heart, ever. Cold as ice, even in the warmest of moments. I really (still) don’t understand how a venus aqua will ever find love with another person, because the ways in which you really need to express love to a partner they don’t seem to get. Perhaps it’s best to stick together? Two aqua venus people together? Because it’s sooo hard for other venus signs to get this placement. My ex was 48, never married and no kids, and I know another venus aqua who was 62 and never married no kids. Being so out of touch emotionally comes at a cost.

My Aunt has Venus in Aqua, she never married either, hasn't any kids. Expectations are very high for her. She's waiting for a prince charming with a PhD or an MD. She will likely never marry but relationships do not really matter to her unless they are friendships, stereotypical, but true. She is a workaholic anyway.

when I first heard this song, I thought: "this sounds like Venus in Aquarius" and then I looked up the singer's chart, and his venus is really in Aqua http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IESwS9ZR0DU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb93e-qovVM

Also, I think this thread is spot on about Venus in Aqua http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/016507.html

I have venus conjunct uranus, and I dislike how people keep describing us as detached and friendship only. I think we have different ways of loving people, we don't fall easily but when we do, we fall hard (Uranus quality). And the best relationships often come from life long friendship any way. If one has Aqua venus and enjoys dating all the time, that one person must date people he/she didn't fall in love with... I know that sounds horrible but dating is the only way we figure out if we like someone.

If you figure out your loving style differs from that of Aqua Venus or Venus conjunct Uranus, then you can choose someone else. But that doesn't mean we are not loving.

My very best and oldest friend is Aqua venus and capricorn sun, but I'm sorry to say that I'm happy to have her as a friend - not lover, cause I know she always puts her friends in first line, that's why she is so great...but for a lover it must be really irritating:S She had a virgo sun guy for a year and he had a libra venus and they seemed perfect together, but I think he eventually got tired of her "free-spirited" mind unfortunately, and then started to try to destroy that side of her instead of accepting it...and then all their problems started Sometimes I really want to slap him in the face and try to explain to him how an aqua venus works, cause I think I have a pretty good understanding of it because we have been very close friends for about 4 years now...

When you have an aqua venus you need to have a lover who will accept that you put your friends first, and will give you all the space you need without being jealous ever, even when you want to be provoking... the last part is maybe the hardest cause I know aqua venus can have periods where they get irritated by everything and everyone, and almost gets bored by life itself, probably because of the unstable uranus that rules the relationship planets, but it always passes, maybe because of transits or something else...
I know love can be though for these people, but they gotta find the right person, that seems to be crucial, cause they are not the best at compromises in these areas that seems understandable for some others!
The most important thing is being able to maintain your free-spirited nature, so naturally you need someone just as free, or just as independent in life

Ok just to come up with a sunshine history My grandmother is Aqua sun, mercury, venus and mars, and she's been married for 60 years with her gemini husband... I don't know if females just express their love more easily, but I also think it has something to do with the willpower of an Aqua. You can't force an Aqua to anything. Not showing emotions either. If they don't feel like it, they won't do it.
If they find the RIGHT one they will probably express that, in some way or another. But probably not the traditional way.

^I disagree, men are a lot more open minded about who they would date or get in relationship with. From what I have seen men will date women they find attractive if they have a sweet personality. Women have long checklists.

yeah... so true. and this is where aqua venus falls down :-( in three years I was maybe complimented a handful of times. and the word love - not once. 'my actions show you how I feel' - I heard that soooo much. an excuse for an inability to voice emotion.

Venus in Aquarius here. I'll be another one who won't marry or have children I'm not experienced when it comes to relationships (and I don't even date ) but I don't think I would have a problem with giving affection to my man or expressing my love verbally (not every few minutes though, mercy...) nor he would be less important than my friends. Actually there's the risk that I would worship him Ugh. All of that assuming I'm in a serious, committed relationship. This is the only kind of relationship I'd be willing to consider anyway. But I don't even know how I would get there since I get annoyed just by thinking of the dating game. I don't know, let's pretends to be friends first or something lol.

I guess I'm a particularly weird case

Venus conjunct Saturn, trine Mars, square Moon, opposite Jupiter, trine MC, conjunct NN, 5th house.

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

NeptunianSag-

What is your house placement and major aspects to Venus if you don't mind me asking? I am a Aqua Venus too but its really influenced by Mars since it is 1st house and square Mars.

Venus in Aqua here. I find romantic relationships to be one of the best parts of life but it's the traditional stuff I can't deal with so I can give lifelong life, affection, friendship, heck even worship; however, I don't want marriage or kids. Especially the kids part. If a man can't deal with that, then... well, I can see myself struggling with relationships as well. I don't now because it's not being asked of me.

lol

My Venus is conjunct Mercury, sun and Jupiter. I'm pretty Aqua-dominant but everything's in the 7th house so I'm a contradiction-in-terms, I think.

Hard to tell when I'm being confusing if it's because of all the ascendant oppositions or if it's all the Uranus .

The best relationship for a venus in aquarius is another venus in aquarius, I can attest to that when it comes to the expectations of how the relationship will flow but you have to consider the aspects venus makes as well. My SO has sun conjunct venus trine pluto. The adoration is always there.

Yay, you're an interesting case. If your placements are between 0-15 deg then you're in my 5th house ^^ If I were you I'd avoid getting involved with men who want to start a family. Unfortunately such a relationship will have no future, most likely. We need open-minded souls who understand that commitment/=marriage and share our lack of interest in having children. And who have the balls to stay true to themselves.

Probably means don't try to force the issue. If an Aqua Venus wants you for their own, it will be because they came to the decision, not because you made them.

My fiance is an 8H Aqua Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter. I love all his Uranian energy, but sometimes it does get frustrating how clueless he can be when it comes to relationship-keeping. He can tell me "i love you" all day long 50 times a day and he doesn't get tired of it, I don't mind hearing it. But he does have a hard time SHOWING it. Unless we're in public. Then he makes damn sure that everybody knows I'm his

I'm probably far too needy for any "normal" Aquarians, what with my Aries Venus and Leo ASC But I seem to be the right mix for mine and I think that's what counts. Everybody saying they can only mix with other Aqua Venuses... Have a heart and maybe they'll show you theirs.
