I recently made a friend....well, my virgo friend made a friend which, by default, became my friend. He has to be the battiest, condescending, rude, and arrogant individual but he is also broken, lonely, and and greatly disturbed and afflicted. A scorpio. Honestly, every scorpio I've met is afflicted in some major way. I'm a leo with scorp rising and from the very beginning it has been like a power struggle...which is totally unnecessary for me but he seems dead set on making sure he has the upper hand in absolutely every situation...way over extreme. A few examples: at a bar I put a dollar in the juke box and play two songs, he criticizes my songs and goes to put 4 of his own songs in...all by an artist he knows I don't care for at all...I don't say anything and I continue on as normal, after the third plays I go to put another dollar in and make my selection but he stands in front of me and won't let me pass and says "you're going to try and overpower my songs, I'm not going to let you put in anymore"...uh, what? You nut case lol. On another occasion, it's Veterans Day and I'm talking about my dad (who is currently dying of colon cancer) and his story of joining the army barely 18 and going to Vietnam, being injured, and how he had some cognitive issues on his first round of chemo that caused delirium and he surprised all of us by talking about things in Vietnam that have tormented him his whole life, but kept to himself and became a wonderful father and husband (married to my mom for 35 years now) and a respectful police officer. I admire him, I said...so this "friend" laughs and says "you admire a baby killer? My mom traveled the country to try and stop that senseless war." My dad was a kid who wanted to be a patriot to get a world away from home and see first hand the horrible things taking place...all he could do was follow orders and survive and then came home to contribute more to his country by being a respectable and moral citizen...his mom became a Haroin addict with 4 children by different fathers and she went to prison, leaving this broken man as her legacy. But I didn't say all that to him...as disrespectful as he always is. It's like he always has to have the upper hand and he knows everything about every single solitary subject on the face of the planet...but has no education and no job...the worse was when we were out one night and a gentleman was talking to us about just getting his art degree and showed us pictures of his art work...my "friend" says to this stranger "hahaha, you think that is art? That is **** and the school you went to is a joke." And he actually grabs this man by the collar. He treated people like this on several occasions including myself...I just didn't say anything or give him the pleasure of drawing me into a struggle with him but as soon as it came to him harming other people , my claws came out in their defense. And he tells me "you're just like everyone else in this planter. I thought you were different. Why can't you just let me be me. Why are you trying to change me?" And he is crying. My reply " I don't have the ability to change you...that is something you will have to do yourself and you need to do some changing for your own good because you push people away with the poison you spew onto others. I can take it, but I will not stand by and allow you to do it to others in my presence. It's against my nature" so he says "that's because I'm more powerful...scorpios are the most powerful zodiac sign and even a leo can't tolerate our power" I said "you're a disturbed individual...no matter your sign and I don't think you have any idea who you are but you don't want anyone else to figure it out so you push people away and hide your insecurities behind your venom...and it's pathetic" his reply "you aren't powerful enough to figure me out" ugh...crazy. Funny thing, he does not AT ALL treat my virgo friend like that...he babies her, seriously caters to her. Weird. Over the last two weeks he has sent message after message and called at least 5 times a day asking if he can come back and visit...but I haven't replied and don't know if I should. But I know he is hurting and he acts like he does because he is seriously afflicted and tormented but I only have so much patience and I about scratched his eyes out last time...it was everything in me to remind myself every passing moment that he needs help. But really...could I even help him...should I!? All the while he is telling me that I am weak and he tells me everything I'm doing that is wrong and how I should be doing it...I can't stand that!! But I don't say anything really, because I think I would really hurt his feelings and lord knows he doesn't need anything to take him any lower. So idk if it's even good for us to remain friends. And every search I have done has scorp listed as the most powerful sign...but I really can't figure out why...all I've met are literally stinging themselves to death. Seems scorp would be better as asc sign like I have...thank the stars I'm not a scorp!

That said, in terms of who is stronger, Scorpio vs. Leo, it really depends what constitutes "strength" to you. Scorpio and Leo are certainly two of the strongest signs in the sense that they're the most stubborn, willful and proud... but Scorpio is more self-destructive (due to their emotion-based nature) and Leos are more productive (due to their ego-driven nature).

I would be totally fine with virgo being the most powerful...I'm surrounded by virgos that are very near and dear to my heart and are absolutely crucial to my well being. They understand me, they love me, they tell me when I'm getting too dramatic, going overboard, taking on too much, or heading in the wrong direction. They are my wise counsel and although their scrutiny is initially irritating to me, deep down I always listen to their words...even if I have to read between the lines lol. But, on the flip side those virgos need me too and they often exhaust me with their worries and cautious (sometimes paranoid!) nature. I fix their problems and keep them active and social...but when I get languid and have my bouts of being a melancholy kitty (Bahahaha...but true), those trusty virgos are right their catering to me and treating me like a queen until I get up again, hit the ground running. I feel like They want to keep me on reigns, which I resist a lot, but always reel back in because it is safe and comfortable and I know how much they need my strength and how much I need their stability. I'm very thankful for my virgos and I have a great deal of respect for them...so if they are the "most powerful" that would make me very happy because I am surrounded by them! All of my closest friends and family are virgos...except for two cancers who u love very much as well but are an entirely different species than my virgo loved ones! But honestly, I think it would be how one defines "powerful" because it could mean so many difference things to so many people.

Does your ASC conjunct their sun? I can imagine such a situation happening under this synastry aspect. It's not about signs, it's a struggle over "who" will express their energy clearer better, more of proving themselves.

Usually the sun person is more jealous or competitive because the ASC expresses the sun's core energy flawlessly and in the face kinda way.

Is what we make it to be.
People have a different criteria as to what it means to be powerful.

But we are missing the the question here.
OP isn't saying who is the most powerful sign, but out of Leo or Scorpio, which is the most powerful. And again, it is how we define "powerful".

And another thing...Leo naturally squares Scorpio. I know a Leo sun with a Scorpio moon and it is a very difficult combination. There are a lot of Plutonian issues seething beneath a Leo with a pronounced Scorpio influence.

So, the Leo sun might experience this Scorpio energy in a grating way and attract negative Scorpio energy instead of positive. You see the more challenging Scorpio influence of self defeat or psychological issues instead of the calm, cool, thoughtful hard working, dedicated Scorpio.

I never experience the negative Scorpio sun. I have the Scorpio moon and I have moon trine Pluto and moon in the eighth.

It really seems to annoy you to see Scorpio described as powerful when Leos are ruled by the sun and can get people to do what they want. Scorpio power lies in the will. Leo, in the ego. So, when the Scorpio decides to apply the will, they change in such a dramatic way, people envy their will power and think of them as very strong.

I actually haven't met but a hand full of Leo's but I know the stereotype that surrounds a leo and I only found that to be true with one of the Leo's...the others were very loyal, intuitive, passionate, open minded, intelligent and fair.
