Contrary to popular opinion, I honestly don't believe that contraparallels work like oppositions. They're too synergistic to be straight 'unconscious oppositions'.

However, the parallels very much have an unconscious conjunction feel. They link, and combine.

Those which are 'super-conjunct' - parallel AND conjunct - tend to be very significant.

Okay, YOU ROCK! Jessica because I just looked at mine and they make TOTAL sense.

Moon parallel Uranus

To a T:

quote:
Moon conjunct Uranus
Your emotional energy vacillates, so that you can be extremely sociable, friendly, and available at times, and completely aloof, independent, and unavailable at other times. Behavioral patterns are quirky, changing, and inconsistent, and this quality is most obvious when you are at home or with family and very close friends. You need space and freedom, and situations that allow for spontaneity. Routines bore you, particularly domestic routines. You need to mix things up a little in order to prevent a restless, unsatisfied feeling, for example, changing your "schedule" day to day. When it comes to parenting, you prefer an open and free atmosphere with your children. Some fear of becoming too close or attached to others is likely present. You detest overly serious or stuffy atmospheres, and you will do what you can to loosen everyone up. Sometimes you say or do something with the goal of mixing things up, or to shock. Rebelling against traditions is something that seems to come naturally, but you might want to be careful that you are not being irresponsible or insensitive in the process. You are humorous and spontaneous, and given to acting on a whim.

100% YES.

Thank you so much for bringing it up!

I also have Sun parallel Chiron. Hm. . .I'm reading some interesting things on this.

Do you have any info regarding this aspect, Jessica? Or anyone else reading this?

I find this a very thought-provoking statement.

If some are on a level, and others are above and below, are they like Octave Planet strivings to the raising of the Keynote?

Hm. . .Peach. I don't have a natal aspect between my Sun and Chiron either but I have it in parallel.

Do you have some inkling about becoming a healer or are you involved in some type of healing profession now?

@MsPrism,

I believe chiron expresses our ''wounds'' in our chart, depending on its placement, it could be something that is unconscious that you are not fully aware. Sun-Chiron has a considerable impact on our ego, our self esteem, our image. They are good listeners and are always ready to offer positive advice and comfort to others yet they feel unworthy to be the recipient of positive things themselves. I don't know if you have a strong natal chiron resonance in your chart, but chiron in a nut shell is the ''healer''. The real challenge though is to be able to heal oneself because for chiron people they are expected to provide comfort to others, but will seldom be on the receiving end.

@peach,

I noticed that your moon and Jupiter is so close with 1 min apart. Although you don't have a natal aspect between the two, do you somehow relate to the descriptions of a moon-jup aspect?

I relate to moon conjunct Jupiter aspect description from cafeastrology. I always thought some of those parts was my Moon trine Neptune

"Moon Parallel Jupiter
You expect good to come to you through change, therefore you are capable of throwing yourself forward into activity. Travel is generally lucky for you. Positive attitudes and expectations create the context to harvest benefits. Your optimism is responsible for your progress."
http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/declinationsparallels.html

I relate to this except I really only travel for business trips and not that far. They're usually good for networking.

Whooooo I love parallels!! Haha they add such an interesting and emphasized dynamic to the chart.

My Sun is parallel Mars
Parallel Mercury
Mars parallel Mercury all in 0 degrees orbs
Sun / Mars / Mercury parallel Pluto by 0 degrees
Mars is parallel Pluto by 6 seconds

Natally my sun/Mars/merc are conjunct
Pluto is conjunct Venus on DC

I was super suprised when I saw how exact Pluto was parallel to my sun/Mars/merc conjunction, when I started to read about it it made perfect sense!! I always identified with Pluto big time.. Especially when I would read the conjunctions, I could relate to more than just Venus. Pluto parallel and semi square my Mercury def gave me an "ah ha!!" Moment lol my mind is relentless and gives me no rest

"Sun Parallel Pluto

You thrive on intensity. There are deep wellsprings of strength and mystery within you that only seem to gain fulfillment through long protracted struggles. Much of your fighting in life is inner and unconscious. This can surface as allegorical reactions to people or things in your environment. You invoke strong responses from others, everything from ignoring you to direct challenging of you, to wanting to assist you. When you get personal you get focused and your persistence can be a real asset."

So spot on!!! It's like the story of my life lol no doubt Mars and Pluto are very strong in my chart.. Sheesh what a life!
